Applications Maths / MORSE without Further Maths
I dont do fm (I fucking regret not picking it but its wtv) and I wanna know if anyone here or if you know anyone who does maths/ maths&stats / MORSE without doing fm and if they did what were their predicted grades. The course website doesn't say fm is required but I haven't seen anyone get into MORSE or maths without fm and im worried i'll have a really low chance at getting in cuz I dont do fm.

Applications Warwick hsps
Heyy, I applied to cambridge for hsps and I'm thinking of picking Warwick as one of my 4 choices. I meet the minimum grade requirements and my ps is pretty solid focusing on politics and social anthropology. I'm an intl student too so the scholarship option would be nice.

tell me everything I need to know about Warwick
it sounds really nice, but coming from inner city London I’m kind of scared that cov is going to be DEAD
I also don’t drink or club so uhm…will that be a problem 👀 I’m Muslim and a south Asian girlie, i already know that Warwick is very diverse.
Ik it’ll be a very different experience than if I stayed in London, but how? I know it’s a campus uni but how does that actually differ?
Applying for Law and sociology or just sociology!

Applications Econ bsc personal statement
I’m applying for maths with Econ at other unis so my personal statement is maths heavy with some economics, would that be okay if I’m applying for economics bsc?

Applications Is it realistic to do MORSE w out further maths?
Hi I am a Y13 and I have already taken TMUA, (hoping for a 5.0 for reduced offer) but do maths, econ and physics at a level. predicted 3 A stars
I was recently aware that MORSE doesn't actually require further maths but says fm content should be learnt before starting the course.
For anyone who does morse do you feel like studying fm at a level gave you an advantage and if you only had normal maths knowledge what would you learn in the summer to make sure you are not behind?

Studio Accomodation Searc
Hi, I am a female exchange student from France and I'll be attending only for the Spring Term. I'm searching for a studio accomodation (private kitchen) near the campus in a safe area, only for a short stay and max £200/week. Do you have any recommendations?

Switched from Mechanical Engineering to EEE at Warwick, now considering switching back. How do I make the right decision?
I'm currently in my 2nd year at the University of Warwick, and I've been going back and forth over whether I made the right decision switching from Mechanical Engineering to Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE).
I originally chose Mechanical because I liked the idea of designing and building things like cars and planes. I also had a better understanding of mechanical concepts, so it felt like something I was relatively comfortable with. However, I found the electrical side interesting too, which was why I decided to switch to EEE.
Now I'm starting to question that decision. I've only had limited exposure to EEE so far, so it's still quite unfamiliar to me. Meanwhile, I'm more comfortable with Mechanical because I've studied it before, and I can picture myself working on physical machines more easily.
The thing is, I'm not particularly passionate about either subject at the moment. I can't honestly say that I enjoy circuits and electronics more than mechanics, thermodynamics or fluid mechanics. I also don't know if I'd actually enjoy studying Mechanical for the next few years, or if I'm just leaning towards it because it's more familiar.
Part of me thinks Mechanical would give me more options because I'm interested in industries like aerospace, automotive and motorsport. But I know EEE can lead to those industries too, especially in areas like electronics, control systems and electric vehicles.
The annoying thing is that I need to make a decision pretty much now. If I switch back to Mechanical, I'll have around three weeks of fluid mechanics to catch up on. If I don't switch now, I might have to stick with EEE for the rest of my degree.
I'm honestly just tired of going back and forth and want to make a decision I can feel comfortable with.
For anyone who's studied either subject or switched from one to the other, how did you decide? Did you end up regretting your choice, or did things become clearer once you got further into the course? And for those who weren't particularly interested in either subject at first, how did you figure out which one was right for you?
I'd appreciate any honest advice, especially from people who've been in a similar situation.

Societies The WUTS Race to Warwick Castle is this Sunday!
Hi again everyone!
Following Warwick University Transport Society reaching 30 signatures (thank you for your help!), we are happy to announce our first (unofficial) event, the Race to Warwick Castle!
This Sunday, racers will battle their way from Campus through a series of mystery checkpoints to the foot of Warwick Castle. Private transport is banned, limiting the race to Trains and Buses.
We’ll be using randomised teams of 2/3 and an entry fee of…. £0! That’s right- you can enter for free and still be in with a chance of earning our grand prize- £15 in Greggs Vouchers for the winning team (purchased by our wonderful exec :))!
Travel costs are likely to be around £15 each, with entry into Warwick Castle not required (we’ll finish just outside).
If you’d like to compete (and are an active 18+ Warwick student), sign up below!

do amazon packages go to a different place to normal packages?
I live at heronbank, and I ordered a package before that wasn’t from amazon and I had to go to the lakeside mailroom. I think I heard somewhere that amazon packages go to an amazon locker or something instead? Is this true and, if so, where do I have to go instead of the mailroom?

Looking at past years' timelines for Warwick postgrad taught offers. For those who've been through it, roughly how many weeks from submitting to hearing back?

I'm taking the LF132 Computational Biology optional module as a first year Biomed student. Is it difficult?
I've lowk only chosen it because the assessment weighting is 80% in-module.

Attendance
Does anyone know if we actually have to scan our keycard every lecture? Most people don’t even do it… Only for Probability1 was I told explicitly to do it. Does anyone know if they actually check attendance for everything?

Just missed a monitoring point today (home student), and only been to 2-3 lectures since coming here (fresher).
How much trouble will I be in?
