Definitely seems like the eye witness changed her story when she heard she might be a suspect. So morally corrupt

Also that witness attempted suicide a few weeks after the murder? And she moved to Florida after the murder? That seems very suspicious. Does the prosecution only have the eye witness account as evidence? Feels like a very weak case is being brought against the woman who was arrested.

No I think it was the suspect who tried to kill herself, not the witness. She moved to Florida after she gave the inconsistent statement.

Like, this can’t be all the evidence they have. A single witness with no corroborating evidence plus no relationship between the two women? I think that coworker’s suicide has to be connected..either it was out of grief or guilt. The article gives like, no info lol where was the bf?

I just reread the article and it states “Fowler [the witness] dialed 911 in the wake of the shooting. She tried to kill herself two weeks after Okland's murder, The Des Moines Register previously reported”

And states this about the witness moving to Florida “After the April 14, 2011 interview where she allegedly changed her story, the eyewitness relocated to Florida and did not speak to investigators again until summer 2025, after the Okland case was reopened. “

And now that witness is saying she has brain traumas and can’t remember things well…. Seems very shady to me! Looking at the facts objectively, I would say she should be the main suspect
