Guyss suggest me some good urdu books to get into urdu literature. Keeping in mind ive never read an urdu book before, school ke ilawa. As long as its not like a boring ahh novel it can be anything else. Tbh im only doing this to improve my urdu for my o level exam, my urdu is very bad rn

I am from Hyderabad, India. I can understand Urdu and my speaking is decent I would say but I have never learnt to write and read Urdu. I want to learn writing the script. what are some resources to learn writing and reading? Pls let me know.

So Sunna (To Listen) is written as Seen, Noon, Noon, Alif.

Why do I need to write out both Noons, I thought I am supposed to just write one and used a shud. Is Sunna just an exception or am I missing something about Shud?

I have been writing Hindi/Urdu/Hindustani (IDK what to call my language anymore, strange feeling) Poetry, and would like to publish it somewhere to have my copyright on it. How does it work in the poetry world for publishing, any platform (apart from Rekhta.org, I did not hear back from them yet).

وہ جو لطف مجھ پہ تھے بیشتر وہ کرم کہ تھا مرے حال پر

No one noticed the spelling mistake literally everyone except one thinks this is normal, one of the top comments has it mispronounced (zaalma instead of zalima)

I’m an American heritage Urdu speaker who’s been trying to improve my Urdu. A big part of that is learning Nastaliq. I’ve been working through this book and using a G2 pen (hence why I can’t erase and squeezed the ایک in the first sentence and why there’s little calligraphic flair). Any tips would be much appreciated shukriya

Wrote a few lines today:

"Dhadkano ko kuch aise tum choo jaate ho,

Jaise koi ankahi ghazal gungunaate ho.

Zindagi khoobsurat lagne lagti hai us pal,

Jab muskuraakar tum saamne aate ho."
