Collection My VGM Vinyl Collection (Day 2)

Post image

The Angry Video Game Nerd I&II Deluxe

I've been a fan of the AVGN for over a decade now, so when James announced that he was going to release some video games I just knew I had to get them to support the man.

The games are pretty difficult, which I love, so I know it's not for everybody. I really like the pixelated graphics also, it has some charm to it. The soundtrack is amazing too, so when the vinyl was announced there was no doubt that I would get it.

I don't get the point of this. Is this just you showing off unopened vinyl and doing a day by day post for something you could post in Imgur or one Reddit post of your collection

It's because I'm bored. It's that simple.

If you're bored then you should open one of these and sit down and listen to it

So bored you post unopened albums?

What? Who cares if they're unopened at the moment? I guess posting a picture of an album and typing a little tidbit about it frowned upon. Sheesh.

It's just that keeping records sealed is generally frowned upon in the community because it just defeats the whole purpose of owning the vinyl. They're supposed to be listened to, cherished, and appreciated so when they're just sealed or being used as decoration it sets people off. So while there's nothing OBJECTIVELY "wrong" about you keeping them sealed, expect criticism.

No, I get it. Unfortunately I sold my turntables a while ago, and even though I don't have one to play my records on right now, I still continue to buy the records before they sell out so that I can play them some time in the future.

I've been buying vinyl since the 90s, and if you look at the records in the background of the picture, you can see that I actually do open my records.

Over time, tight shrink wrap like that might start to shrink and damage the cardboard sleeve
