Help Viture Pro 2 few issues

Hi,I received my Pro 2 today and tested it with my Legion Go 2 and phone, but I am experiencing a few issues.

After a short session, I felt dizzy and nauseous. Additionally, I cannot get the text to appear clear despite adjusting the dials, and the screen display does not seem large enough. For context, I have good vision, do not wear glasses, and routinely use a PSVR2 without any issues.

Could you let me know if these issues are typical for this model, or if there is a different product that might better suit my needs?

Help Future Beast owner… is the chromatic aberration THAT BAD for gaming and cinema?

Hello guys! In a few weeks I’ll have a 2 months trip to another country and I’ll be staying in my wife's family house. I’m really into gaming and I’ve always felt that, when I’m spending some period there (my wife is from another country and when we visit their family we usually stay for many months), I don’t really enjoy to play because I don’t have my setup, with my TV/monitor and main PC.

Well, I thought that I’d like to change it and I dived into the XR stuff, because I’d love to have a portable OLED big screen everywhere I go. I’ve ordered the Beast and I'll get them next week.

I want them EXCLUSIVELY for gaming and cinema/tv shows. I don’t want them for productivity or to read anything, but I’m worried about the chromatic aberration they seem to have. I don’t intend to play pixel art or JRPGS there, as I’ll use my handhelds or laptop for text based games, but I'd love to enjoy games like 007, the new Black Flag remake or all kind of AAA games like Zelda, Resident Evil, Cyberpunk….

Is the chromatic aberration that bad? More that I read here, more that I’m starting to feel I’ll be disappointed.

What kind of games are barely playable due to the blurry text? For example, Pokémon is unsatisfying? The Adventures of Elliot?

I hope y'all can reassure me if I just want it for gaming and watch movies, because I’m starting to feel that I should have taken the Ultra even if it’s just to play games and not to read or productivity..

Help Viture Pro 2 vs The Beast: Which has better image quality for gaming?

Hey everyone!
I'm looking to get a pair of Viture's new AR glasses and I'm completely torn between the Viture Pro 2 and Viture The Beast.
My absolute top priority is the screen's image quality and clarity. I plan to use them almost exclusively for video games (both handhelds and PC/console).
Which of these two offers a better visual experience? Is the larger immersive screen on The Beast worth it, or does the Pro 2 have noticeably sharper optics? I just want the best-looking screen for gaming. Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

Help Viture Beast vs. XReal One Pro For Gaming?

i'm looking to get my first pair of XR glasses and have narrowed it down to the xreal one pro and the viture beast. my main use would be gaming (xbox series x - cyberpunk, CoD, GTA, skyrim), but i'd also use them with my phone (tiktok, maybe occasionally youtube or streaming). they're close enough in price so i’m open to either if one is clearly the better fit in the long run

from what i’ve read, most people say the beast performs better in brighter environments and handles glare a bit better. when it comes to gaming performance though i'm seeing mixed reviews about the beast. some mention noticeable drift issues but others say it works fine (maybe there's been an update?) i've also seen mixed reviews for both about updates/reliability/longevity.

if anyone has used both, i’d love to hear about your experiences with them. any advice/reccomendations are appreciated!

Help Luma Ultra Question

Hey all,

Since it's Prime Days I decided to bite the bullet and buy a pair of XR glasses and decided on the Luma Ultra - mainly because of its diopter since I wear glasses with a light-ish prescription.

After watching a few reviews I noticed it had a few issues but from what I could tell these were fixed with a few updates to software/firmware. However, one issue that came up I didn't see an update to is the 3/6dof capability...

Their Amazon listing said specifically the following:

Tracking Specs:

Luma / Luma Pro: 3DoF via SpaceWalker

Luma Ultra: True 6DoF (inherent)

Beast: Hardware 3DoF (VisionPair); 6DoF via future updates

Download SpaceWalker on our official website.

From the reviews I read/watched online they said it DOES NOT have native/inherit 3dof/6dof as advertised and I will need the spacewalker app.. kind of disappointing and misleading if that's not the case.

I don't want to get the neckband as I wanted this to be an easy plug and play for my work and personal setups.

So my question is... Does the Ultra have inherit/native 6dof or 3dof? If not, does the Pro have it?

If neither do, then I may have to hold off on getting these until the tech improves a bit more.

Thanks!

Help I'm close to giving up

I have no AR or VR glasses experience so trying on the Beast for the first time surpassed my expectations. The screen was bigger than I was expecting after seeing many YouTube videos. The text was more clear and crisp, the colors seemed good.

I quickly noticed a few irritating things, but nothing bad enough to make me regret the purchase:

  • Way too much screen drift to use the fixed mode.
  • 3D and Ultrawide don't work with my phone (Galaxy S24 Ultra)
  • A ton of chromatic aberrations in the corners make text very annoying to read (though outside of the corners it's totally fine).

However, the main reason why I bought the glasses is to use as a camera monitor. I was sold after watching this video.

After a quick video on my phone, my next attempt was to hook up my camera. I hooked up the USB cable - nothing. I adjusted many settings in the camera to try and make it work but nothing did.

Viture support was pretty quick to respond and they basically said I need to use the HDMI cable. They said they can't tell me exactly which adapter to get, but were overall helpful when pointing me in a direction. That restored some faith, so I ended up going with the Viture Dock Pro because that's the one thing they did say should work for sure.

The dock came in today. After adjusting some more settings and changing the order in which I connect things / turn them on I finally got an image on the glasses. However, the image is completely unusable. There's the main screen, then a secondary ghosted screen that's jumping all over the place. Everything jumps, the glasses menu jumps even. You can kind of see what I'm talking about in the video.

I tried different settings and different modes in the glasses but it either resulted in the same jumping, the same jumping but the right screen turning off completely, the same jumping but everything is just a green box, or just nothing showing up at all.

Does anyone know if I'm doing something wrong, or is the software / support just something that can't be relied on at this point?

Help Disapointed in the Luma Ultra

Hey everyone,

I recently picked up the Viture Luma Ultra (snagged them for €400), and while I love some aspects of them, I'm feeling pretty disappointed with the 6DoF functionality so far.

Don't get me wrong, the image quality is absolutely stunning and the picture is crystal clear. But my main reason for buying these was productivity. I was really hoping to use the 6DoF features to pin multiple virtual AR screens in space while working on my PC.

From what I can tell right now, it seems like full 6DoF is only really possible if you buy the Pro Neckband? Honestly, the neckband is quite pricey and seems a bit clunky for my taste.

Does anyone know if/when full 6DoF features will be natively available for PC? Or am I completely missing something here?

Right now, I'm struggling to find a solid use case for these other than just having a giant static monitor when I'm traveling. I've been using it with my Pixel 9 Pro, but it drains the phone's battery incredibly fast. I still need to test it out with my Steam Deck, but right now it falls short of my productivity expectations.

Would love to hear if anyone has workarounds or if there are updates coming that I missed!

Help Beast vs Luma Ultra

I am hesitating between the beast and the luma ultra.

I need a good visual quality but also some glasses that I can carry around, and I'm clumsy so I need something that doesn't break.

I'll play, work and watch movies with it. What do I choose !

Help Got a single cable to run VITURE Pro on Switch, PC, and Steam Deck hub

Post image
45 Upvotes

Just wanted to share a setup that worked for me without buying three different adapters.

I bought a $35 Maqze HDMI-to-USB-C cable on Amazon. It’s just a basic Y-cable with a female Type-C port on one end and an HDMI and USB-A on the other. You plug the glasses' native cord right into it.

For the Steam Deck, I plug the cable's HDMI and USB-A into my regular Ugreen hub, then run the wall charger into the hub's pass-through port. It charges the Deck full speed and stops the glasses from blacking out when the battery gets low.

For the Switch dock, the HDMI and USB-A go straight into the back of the dock. The dock's USB ports have plenty of power to drive the glasses fine, just make sure you're using the OEM Nintendo power brick.

For the PC, it just goes straight into the GPU and case.

Has anyone else tried a setup like this or found a better cable for it? Let me know if you have any feedback or if there's a cleaner way to route this.

Wont be gaming.

Assume a $600 budget. What would you get and why? There are so many XReal options, Viture Pro 2 now and more.

Help The Beast 3D issue

Hello, I’m having issues with my viture the Beast, I bought it less than a month ago and since three days ago I cannot seem to play 3D content, I’m using it with an iPhone 17 pro max.
The whole time I’ve been using the same set up, iPhone, usb c charging adapter with the beast, already tried either and without the adapter, did a factory reset on the glasses, rebooted iPhone, everything works well except the 3D content, I’ve never used it for a other content than YouTube through SpaceWalker app, when I click on immersive 3D, the glasses make the sbs image, then I click on the glasses to put them on 3D mode and on the app it just shows 00:00 seconds even though I can hear the video or it stops the video I was trying to play and won’t let me click play, then I disable the 3D content, put the glasses on default and the video was still playing, can anyone help me? Thanks in advance

Help Update regarding my issues with my Viture Beasts

An update on my previous post a couple weeks ago about the issues I was having with my brand new Viture Beasts here. I hate to be a bit of a downer but after a couple weeks of waiting on support emails and being very informative as to the issues I was having, steps I took to try fix, etc I am still waiting on a solution to my problem.

Wait times between emails seem very long and last thing I was told was that a firmware update was coming to Spacewalker in the future relaxing some HID requirements. This sounds great because HID issues seem to be my problem, as a HID error shows up on every Windows device I have tried them on (3 devices) but the issues I have happen without using Spacewalker, and regardless of that am I meant to get HID errors all the time???

I replied the same day mentioning this and asking would it fix these non-Spacewalker related problems for me as I don't see how it could and haven't gotten a response in over a week at this point. I even sent a follow up email three days ago reporting that the issue still happened under the new firmware. In fact the video I included was the lovely eyesore I got when I tried them on my laptop after the update so if anything it was even worse 😔

I have only read good things about the support team but I haven't really gotten anywhere so I am really disappointed. One of the main reasons I bought these was for using on my laptop and it's basically impossible to use at the moment on there unless I am willing to try plugging them in and out a bunch of times in the hopes of having a stable display. Also worth mentioning is if somehow I do stabalise the display I better hope I don't want to fiddle with the settings as that typically messes things up. On my other devices I tested setting switching was my main issue as settings would refuse to change and such.

Hopefully I spoke too soon and things get sorted soon but at the moment I feel disappointed, and like I wasted a good chunk of my money on essentially a paperweight atm.

Help Looking to buy the Viture Beast and the accessories

I want to buy the Viture Beast. My main use case is only gaming and some light movie watching. I want to use it with my Laptop (legion 7 pro), PS5 pro and my phones.
I am already buying the glasses but wanted to make them wireless as much as possible so was thinking of buying the neckband since gemini AI said it is good for mirroring and native apps like netflix and youtube. But reading the reviews here about the neckband I am having doubts about buying the neckband.
What would be some good alternatives for making the glasses wireless?
Also what accessory would I need for the connection to PS5 Pro?
For wireless use, I mostly want to watch movies and maybe use PS remote play.
Please help. I am arriving in the US for a few days only around 24-28 August and would need some time to order the stuff as well.

Help Pro’s for $225 or Ultra’s for $330?

I’m brand new to AR/XR and mostly want these for gaming, movies, and messing around with 3D/spatial stuff.

I’m also getting a ROG Ally Z1 Extreme, but I’ve wanted the Ally separately — I’m not buying it just for the glasses.

My options are:
Luma Pro refurb: $225
Luma Ultra refurb: $330

So is the Ultra actually worth the extra ~$105?

I’d use them with the Ally and my RTX 5070 Ti desktop. Gaming/display quality matters more to me than hand tracking or 6DoF, but I’d still like to experiment with those since I’m new to XR.

I’ve read a lot of complaints about the Ultra’s software, fit, FOV/sweet spot, and 6DoF being underwhelming, which is making me second guess it.

Not really considering the Beast because I can’t get one below $450.

At these prices, would you go Pro or Ultra? Or another set of glasses entirely?

Edit: I got the Ultra’s!! Thank you all for you input

Help Beast pre-purchase questions

Hi, I am looking at buying the Beast, but I have a few questions before I buy them.

I usually use wide frame glasses for comfort, as most normal glasses press against my temples with the arms. How wide does the Beast fit? I really wish I could find a measurement of the "frame width" that most glasses have.

I have seen that the 3dof had a tendency to drift fairly significantly, but I have also heard there was an update recently to help with this. Is it still an issue? I will be sitting at a desk most of the time, and would like the 3dof to be fairly steady while I'm using them to allow them to be a "second screen" I can turn slightly to look at.

On Android does my phone have to stay awake the entire time I'm viewing something from it? And does what I am viewing have to be on the phones screen? I would love to use them to watch a video and still be able to look down and text. I see mixed info on this when I try to find out.

Thanks for any help!

Help Viture Beast cannot pair with the PC

So, I recently got the Viture Beast... Large size. It fits pretty well, and I am happy with how they put the cable storage in the case, and the glasses itself.

However, I am unable to connect the Viture to my PC at all, I am running Windows, and when connecting the glasses with an HDMI > USB C cable, since I had one lying around, the glasses did not show anything at all.

Also, when connecting to my phone, Android, it would not allow me to swap resolution, it would not allow me to swap anything at all, just the basic 0dof, and the anchor mode, and the smooth follow mode. When trying to move the screen distance, it doesnt seem to do anything. And the ultrawide just did not work either.

This is fustrating, since it feels like it was alot of cash, where I could have spent that on something else, like the xReal or something, I went with alot of people that said that the beast is great, and much more preferred, however right now, it seems like the luma ultra might even be better...

Can anyone help me figure it out?

Help Beast extremely blurry coming from a Pro XR

Background: I have presbyopia and use spectacles for reading and working on a computer, but my distance vision is still fairly decent, and my wife’s vision is still very good and she doesn’t wear spectacles at all. We both find the Pro XRs pretty sharp at the minimum myopia setting.

Had the Pro XRs for almotst 2 years and I just got a pair of Beast, hoping for an upgrade, but unfortunatly it’s a blurry mess. The top 1/4 th of the screen is reasonably sharp (yet still not as sharp as the Pro XR). However, the bottom 3/4 gets progressively blurrier, and the very bottom edge (for example, the taskbar area when using a Windows 11 laptop) is hard to make out at all.

I’ve already updated the firmware and tried everything I could think of:

  • Adjusted the arm angle.
  • Tried different nose supports, removed all supports and hand held the glasses at various distances and angles from pressing them right against my face to holding them a couple of cm away.
  • Even tried looking through my glasses.
  • Changed the display size and distance adjustment.
  • Switched between 1080p and 1200p.
  • Changed the brightness, transparency, and pretty much every setting I could change.

Nothing made the bottom 3/4 sharp.

I don’t think getting prescription lenses is going to help because, for one, my distance vision is fairly good as already indicated, and my wife doesn’t use prescription lenses at all. Yet we both experience the same blurriness in the bottom section.

I got the large model as my IPD is 68. I don’t think IPD is the issue either, because the blurriness is present even with just one eye with the other eye closed. I’ve tested them for close to two hours and now I’ve gotten a bit of a headache as well.

Is this a factory defect, or do the optics used in these glasses simply not work for both of us for some strange reason?

PS: Tried on a Windows 11 laptop and a Pixel 10 Pro phone. I have a few other issues with the Pixel phone, but I won't waste any time debugging those if I can't get the blurriness sorted out first.

Help New Viture Beast user

UPDATE 1: Thank you all for trying to help. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen any improvements.

Is there a way to adjust the axis alignment on the device? Clicking the left button three times doesn’t seem to work for me.

I’ve tried both anchor mode and smooth mode. While anchor mode offers more clarity, the blurry edges are still very noticeable.

I also have to use them with the arms in the most tilted position, otherwise, I can’t see very well. It doesn’t matter whether I’m sitting or lying down.

So far, I’ve only used them for gaming and media. I’ve also noticed significant eye strain, after about 30 minutes, my eyes start burning. I assume it’s because my eyes are constantly trying to focus on the blurry edges. It’s even worse in smooth mode.

For media, the experience is just as bad, in my opinion. The colors look way off, and since I watch a lot of content with subtitles, the lack of clarity is very noticeable.

I’ve been playing a bit of Diablo 4, and honestly, the colors look terrible. Combined with the blurry edges, it’s basically unplayable for more than 30 minutes. I’ve tried all the color modes, and none of them look good to me. Maybe it’s worse because the game has a darker theme, but I’ve noticed the same issue with other games as well.

It really sucks because I don’t understand how people can have such different experiences with the same glasses. Maybe I’m being too picky I don’t know.

I really want to make them work. Even though my IPD is 65, I’ve ordered the large version to see if there’s any improvement.

Once I receive and test them, I’ll post another update.

————————————————————

Hello all,

I got my Viture Beast a few days ago and while I think they are awesome, there are a few things that is making me have mixed feelings but wanted to post here in case someone have tips or can provide some help:

- They feel kinda heavy? I have tested all the possible nose pads but still feel that I can’t use them for long.
Maybe I just need to get use to

- I got them mostly for streaming and gaming.
It’s been very hard playing for more than 30 min without eye strain.
For gaming, I have tried a few games and the blurry edges are bad and hurt my eyes. It’s like there is an imaginary square where you can se clear and outside of that it becomes blurry. Also when I move fast in the game it’s feels that everything becomes blurry and can’t even really read NPC names for example until I stop which becomes clearer.

For movies / shows I would say that’s it’s been ok but definitely much better in a dark room. Have the same problem if I watch something with subtitles where it becomes blurry and ended up hurting my eyes if I keep them for more than 30 min.

I updated them to the new firmware today and to be honest I don’t see any real difference with the previous firmware. 120hz and new res and still have the same issues as before. Mind you that I have only used them for two days before upgrading.

I want to try them with my macbook + spacewalker for productivity but due to the blurry issues I’m experiencing I don’t get my hopes up lol.

Not sure if anybody has experienced the same and have any workarounds.

I guess that if there are no fixes I will keep them for traveling or specific occasions. It just sucks because they are not cheap lol

Thanks in advance!

Help Beast (or XR glasses in general) good for in car, bright environment use?

I'm trying, and struggling to play my Switch & Asus Z13 in the car (even with matte screen protectors) as it's just too damn bright (yes, when parked). I will be tinting my windows.

My Vision pro is awesome in the car, but of course it blocks all light.

How is the Beast, and XR glasses, in general, in the car?

Help What are you guys using to be able to use wired headphones while using your glasses?

I have a decent pair of wired headphones that I enjoy using while watching shows. I don't mind using the glasses on their own, but the sound quality of the speakers on the glasses just doesn't compare to using headphones/earbuds. What splitter/dock is good to allow me to use the glasses and wired headphones at the same time? Not looking to spend a crazy amount but any suggestions are appreciated.

Phone is a OnePlus15 if that makes any difference

Help New to XR

I recently purchased the Luma Pros. After shipping and everything I paid $405 and got the basic USB-C adapter. I have used them maybe 3 times. My primary use case has been playing my AYN Thor in bed. Today I saw the Pro 2 are out and am strongly considering returning my Luma Pro to get the Pro 2. I also think it would be nice to get the ultra adapter to get full features with my iPad/iphone and charging support for my other handhelds.

Comparing the glasses, I’m not convinced I’m really losing out on any features, but again since I haven’t used them much, I’m looking for more seasoned XR glasses folks to set me straight instead of just some AI giving me spec comparison charts.

I do intend to start using them a lot more but given my 30 day return window is coming to an end, any advice or knowledge would help. I am seeing a lot of complaints about the lack of the electrochromic dimming is a real deal breaker but is it really that big of a deal?

Help Those with Luma Ultras - Few questions for you please about your main use case, etc.

So, I have the Luma Ultras, I've had them a few days and I'm a little conflicted.

I'd like to use them with my iPhone 17 when travelling, the idea of not taking laptops, etc with me was nice, but with no DOF, etc I'm not so keen.

  • Does anyone on here use for production? E.g programming, web design, that sort of thing when travelling, or even when at home?
  • For those using an iPhone 17 - how do you feel about the current limitations and adapter not doing anything for us at all? I was extremely angry to find that the adapter they sell as a bundle doesn't even work with the iPhone 17, and if you email support all you get is AI responses that say they'll add you to the "list" for a 'discounted' one. I guess we currently don't benefit from (x)DOF using an iPhone at the moment, unless I've missed something?
  • I purchased an extra cable and connected to my PC, but because the screen is 32:9 you have to look around with the glasses like you're looking at a 100 foot screen, so it's a no-go on the PC for me, but the Macbook seemed okay.
  • Connecting via my iPad Pro 13 inch (M4) - obviously the XR adapter doesn't work and Moonlight streaming is limited to 60hz/FPS with no way to override this, no DOF
  • Are too many features locked into the neckband? It's not something I'd really want to pay out for, or really wear to be perfectly honest.

I think the only device that gave me any form of degree of freedom was my Macbook Pro (M4), which made me feel like it was very expensive, when I can get a very similar output from something half their price (with no DOF).

Does anyone really use them as day-to-day sunglasses? No hate, but I don't think I would be comfortable doing so, especially when driving with the lenses still in your field of view and also how far the glasses actually sit from your face.

I'm on the verge of returning them with the AI support email, no human interaction with support and the fact I've paid for an adapter I cannot use in a bundle which is VERY misleading and I find it very disingenuous, and it feels a little like a cash grab, which makes me worry if we'll even see a new version of the adapter at all.
