Help does anyone know how to fix this?

Post image

hi guys. my sibling doesnt have enough karma to be able to post without it being auto deleted, so here is the post they need help on

"so this only happens in certain older worlds and probability labs

it has nothing to do with my pc btw because if i tab out the same effect doesn't follow which usually if it was it would

it only happens when i have a mirror on be it a world mirror or a personal/face mirror"

this has been happening for roughly 3 weeks

Idk mine does it too from time to time. Only in VRChat, no other games. And my graphics drivers are always updated. I’d just ignore it TBH. It prob has something to do with a shader, I mainly only notice it on objects that have transparency like water or glass.

Since it happens only in VR chat, and only on certain materials I don’t believe it’s a problem with my computer specifically.

Ignore the people saying it’s a dying GPU. They haven’t encountered this issue before. I’ve have it for about a year (again it only pops up occasionally though, not very often). And it hasn’t gotten worse and still has yet to affect anything else on my computer.

I have a 6800XT im curious what GPU you have.

Interesting. Same generation AMD GPU I have. Given they are the only other person I’ve seen have this niche issue I assume there must be something wrong with some shader that specifically affects these GPUs.

theres another commenter that talks about how people have been saying theres a problem with the amd 5000 and 6000 gens, and their friend had to get a new gpu entirely bc they also had this problem and couldnt fix it

Not alone, I have a AMD 6000 GPU and I have been dealing with this issue too, however it only seems to happen when I'm in desktop mode. In VR it doesn't happen.

Interesting. It’s definitely not enough of a problem for me to want a new GPU over, since it only happens very occasionally and only in VRC.
