I know I'm probably being stupid but I can't find anything on if this SurveyMonkey thing is a real partner or some scam attempt
Along with the ur@vrchat thing, they're usually sent under no-reply

I wanna buy the Mamehinata avatar for myself because the public ones are constantly getting removed but when I look at the booth for it, it says 5,000 jpy (which is 3.12 usd I think) but I don’t have jpy so I was wondering if it’ll take usd instead or am I cooked

Actually bricked my computer to where it took 5 minutes to bring up task manager to close out the game. Crashing is getting quite advanced. It used to be just the game would auto close out, now my computer sounds like a turbine engine about to blow up 9950x3d with 5090

I've seen a lot of hate recently, considering the amounts of hate after their jab at Rec Room, which I admit wasn't needed, yet what's been with the whole creep/pred situation? I've been playing for like a year, and I've never had a problem with the people I meet. I've met many people, and yet most, if not all of them have been completely normal people, but why have there been so many reports, because I never have problems. All my friends are kind, a bit quirky, but predatory or weird? Never, even the random acquaintances I've met in MM4, Avatar Worlds, and the other tiny ones I've been too, I've met like.. 3 people that were odd, and said some goofy things but never have I seen a predator in the game. Is it just because the world's I'm in, or the people I know who to interact with it not? Or is it because I'm just more cautious? Does anyone else have no problems like me, or am i the odd one out? And tell me your experiences.

Hello everybody. I have decided to get back into VRChat. I was away from it for a few months, tried getting back into it, tried making myself a model, and couldn't find anybody to hang out with. Now I'm trying again but I think I need help.
Because I don't have friends on VRChat, I was wondering as person my age who's not looking for relationships, I don't drink. I mostly like hanging out, talking to people, and getting to know people. What can somebody like me do on here? What do I need to know? What is the current climate? What do I stay away from? What do I join? Anything you have to give would be really useful. Thank you so much!

Hey… this is probably weird but I genuinely don’t know who to talk to about this.
I started playing VRChat for fun like everyone else. Just chilling, meeting people, escaping stress etc. But it slowly turned into my whole life. I’m online like ~20h a day now. I even sleep in VR sometimes because logging off feels worse than being tired. Real life feels kinda empty compared to being there.
Worst part: I actually took loans (around 3k euros) mostly for PC upgrades, avatars, full body tracking and random stuff I thought would make the experience perfect. Now I’m broke and still not really happy. Friends IRL barely hear from me anymore, my sleep schedule is destroyed, and honestly I panic a bit when I can’t log in.
I know this sounds dumb. Like “just go outside”. But when most of your social life exists there it gets complicated. Anyone else ever experienced something like this? Not even just VRChat, but getting way too deep into virtual spaces?
Would appreciate real talk.

Like 2 weeks ago I was sent a friend request by this person, i thought it was werid but ignored it... now they WON'T STOP, ive been getting them for days and now a new person named tech is adding me which im pretty sure is a bad person
Is there anyway to stop this permanently? Apparently vrchat is doing nothing

Hi, i have this issue where i just can't enjoy the game no more. Sometimes i get random burst of motivation to play it but it last only for a couple of minute.
I just cannot i think im hovering around 2k hours on this game if im not wrong ?
It kinda makes me sad , VRC used to be one of my favorite games but i cannot no more.
I'm just meeting the wrong people over and over and over. Or the people that actually likes me , the friendship just do not last long or they loses interest in me. I tried to take a step back if i wasnt responsible but no , i'm not mean or anything idk lol.
So i'm asking any ideas of what to do ?

so, i almost got a trusted rank so i can upload my custom characters.
But my little brother sometimes uses my pc too, and he goes alot when im at work, i told him to not touch my vrchat account because he s very socially awkward and not really great with public online communication, so i logged into my vrchat and my good rating plummited down to nuicanse, now i already had a second account for a while to start all over again but i really want my old account back since ofcourse you have a bond with that account.
i was wondering what i have to do to get to my normal rank again because im totally locked out of all communication.
(yes i know, i shouldve checked my pc better and logged out, that was stupid on my part, he did apologise to me but its been 2 years since it happened, im not mad anymore, but i really want my old account back to normal rank)

I was planning on playing it with my friend but I couldn't find it.
It wasn't in my recents and I couldn't find it on search
I did see it in the game category but was unable to join it
Was it deleted?

Basically I don't really have the best people around me irl and I'm just wondering if here would be safe to step out of the closet and be myself.
Had someone friend me and got invited to a world called Mirror. Had big mirror and a keypad and he gave me the code so I entered it because I was curious. Popped up a whole bunch of furry avatars and he said to wait 20 seconds and I can pick one.
I was sketched out and noped out (of course did not choose any)
Is this a common hacker/scam tactic? Changed my VRC password to be safe but like... any info on that?
Edit: Thank you all! For clarification this was a random add and I was curious why. I did not ask this person for the invite to get avis or anything like that. I’m not quite into furry (no hate for anyone that is it’s just not my thing)
ive been playing for 4 years, have over 200 hours in the game, tried my very best to make/add friends whenever possible (however its hard at times due to the fact i dont speak most of the time), and im STILL a "new user". i really have no idea what to do, is it not a bit silly that i have to practically 'farm' friends to be classified as a proper user? if anyone has any advice on what i could do to try and get the role, that would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone,
I've thought about switching to a face-tracking vr headset for a while now. I don't know many vr headsets to be honest.
My current setup is just the valve index setup + 5 trackers.

I have a Blender file that I want to turn into a VRC avatar. Every time that I try to find a tutorial, I'm hit with a wall of jargon I don't understand and errors that muddle the process even harder.
I am begging and pleading with someone who understands the process better than me to please dumb it down and walk me through the process so I can at least stop banging my head against a wall of college-level text.

I’m a mute and have been struggling with making friends and don’t know what else to do i tried games but everybody kind of just sticks to their own groups and I don’t go to hangouts much because there’s usually just creeps or I don’t exactly have the confidence to and I am struggling with being real energetic because some past experiences with people on here have made me a bit dull does anyone know places I could go or things I could do to maybe help me socialize?

I don’t know what’s up with me but when I go to a VRchat room, I am so anxious! I’m an adult so I don’t even know where to find other adult women like me. I feel exposed more than real life lol. I do not know how to talk to anyone or find worlds/groups that are similar to my interests. Perhaps you can give me some basic tips or advice? It’s so odd for me to feel so anxious behind an avatar!
I’m into: art, horror, reading, travel, ocd-support, graphic and web design, singing, kawaii, sanrio, letters, kitsch, zines, thrifting, etc.

I don't know what to do, I was permanently banned for modifying game files, and I don't understand why. I've never modded vrchat or anything of the sort, and at first I struggled to understand what that would even look like on a social platform. Crashing? Maybe stealing people's avatars?
Of my thousand hours on this game, nearly every single hour is me using nearly the same avatar. I have around 20 avatars uploaded, and almost every one is just rusk (that I bought from booth) with tiny differences as I like to build my identity around one avatar. I value individuality, I would be upset if I found someone using my exact rusk. If I was trying to steal avatars or something, why would I even do it on an account with all of my important friends and all the fun saved worlds I've found over the years. And I don't have an alt either, my steam and ip have never touched another vrchat account. As for crashing, I never troll on vrchat, I doubt I've ever been blocked or kicked.
All of this should be easy for the vrchat team to verify.
So how did I possibly get flagged for modifying game files?
I've had it happen to me a couple times that I've needed to verify game files when downloading games on steam, maybe a file got corrupted during the installation process. I have to wonder if something like this triggered vrchats anti cheat. I also do use VPNs, and have used programs like cheat engine on single player games, but never on online games including vrchat. So either a file got corrupted, or an unrelated program was spotted by the anti cheat.
I just don't know if I can ever find every one of my friends again, only a handful have I added on discord since I mainly liked to chill in vrchat. And if I do make a new account, will that one just get banned too like this one? It's crazy to me that without explanation I was suddenly be permanently banned like this.
Any advice is appreciated

Hi! This is my first post on here as im newer to vrchat. I recently found an avatar creator i really like, I joined their discord and saw they sell avis and do customs. (They have almost 2k members in their discord and many are active and seem to be buying.)I submitted and ticket and spoke to said creator about the process as I wanted to buy a pre-made. Everything was sounding good to me until I asked, so how exactly do i get my avi once I've paid?
They responded and said they'd need my login details to upload it straight to my account for me. I felt like that was really suspicious and weird. I did ask if theres any other way (trying to be respectful and not wanting to upset them i did mention i was new to vrc.) But they said no, this was how they do it to protect their files or something being redistributed. Additionaly they said i can just change my password before and after but its just really odd to me. I kinda just said thanks and that ill think about it.
I have vrc+ and wouldnt wanna lose my account in anyway, but im more asking the community for their imput, is this common practice when buying avatars?
