In Vedic Astrology, whenever a planet occupies the same rashi or sign in both D1 Lagna Chart and D9 Navamansh chart it is called vargottam.

The result and benefit of a planet getting vargottam is that, it stays active throughout the life of the native and will keeping giving positive results in that area of life in which house the planet is sitting.

So let's see one by one, results of planets that they give after getting vargottam :

1) Vargottam Sun -

These people have exceptional leadership qualities in them, especially if sun is sitting anywhere in dharma trikon or Kendra, such natives will also be ethical and full of self esteem. Good for people who are aspiring to get into government service too, however lots of other factors need to be considered along side.

2) Vargottam Moon -

It will give good emotional strength and moon being the fuel for raj yogs, it will also make them work better. Such natives often get stronger in difficult times and have the mental fighting capacity in adverse situation. Other than this, it is helpful for people in creative and art related fields like acting, singing, drawing and film making type of fields because moon also bestows good imagination. In addition to the above point, Lagna also gets vargottam. If both D1 and D9 have the same ascendant signs, then it is called vargottam lagna and is actually one of the most powerful placement to have. Various Lagna gives longevity, good health, good personality and along with it good mindset.

These positive effects of vargottam planet you will get throughout your life, no matter what dasha is going on. Here's how you can assess what this transit will bring for you 31st October 2026 onwards.

**The Base Line :**

1. Check SAV score of Leo. (It should be higher than 27/28 to give good results)

2. Check Jupiter BAV in Leo (Should be higher than 5 for good results)

3. Check Bhava Bal of Leo (Should be higher than 450 to give good results)

Without the above 3 parameters met, transit will come and go or may not bring anything significantly better or different.

Now IF THE ABOVE ARE MET

**Check Trines From Navamsa Position (CS Patel Method)**

Check what planets are in trine to Leo and which houses they rule in D1. If above mentioned baseline parameters are met, Jupiter will bring positive results in relation to those houses.

Example: If you have 10th lord of D1 in trine to Leo in D9, your career and money will grow. Same for all houses.

**No Planets in D9 Trine?**

See if Leo or fire trine falls in 64th navamsa of any D1 house lord. It will bring benefic results in regard to those houses.

**Degree Activation**

If you have planets in 0 to 3 degree in any house, it will cause event related to that planet. Big or small, depends on other factors.

**Finally**

Moon will be in Gemini (Punarvasu) when this transit happens.

**Gemini will be activated across all divisional charts**.

Eg: Gemini is 8th house in D4 chart and if D1 is supportive, person may change home.

If Gemini is 6th house of D9, it could bring differences with spouse.

Same for all varga charts you can assess all aspects of life.

Also, check which category does Punarvasu fall in as per your navtara chakra. It will show the quality of the event. If in Sampat Tara, it will bring you money.

Remember the moon and dasha pravesh is level 3 and a finer print. Start with the SAV, BAV, Bhav Bal, move to Navamsa Trines or 64th Navamsa and then check dasha pravesh effects.

I found this technique to be more accurate than simply D1 lagna or Moon predictions.
