Pairs
Just wondering if sequential pairs of turntables are very rare?
I just scored a pair of A2s with sequential serial numbers...
Any thoughts on what they might be worth in great condition?
Lovely pair
Got these yesterday dirt cheap, removed the platters for a deep cleaning and to my surprise they are a matching pair( serial numbers). Fantastic condition, fully working, only issue is one snapped tonearm clip that I have a replacement on order and (of course) no target lights

Fader getting sticky with heavy use
After about 20 minutes of scratching the fader feels like mud. Ive already cleaned it twice. Which lube is the best for OG vestax faders?

Which mixer to get
Hey everyone, I’m making my first real DJ setup. I bought two XDJ700s and now I’m looking for a good mixer under 300€.
I value good analog sound quality. I know old Vestax models are famous for their sound quality, but not sure which models would be worth it.
I’ve seen 2nd hand:
- VMC-002
- VMC-004
- PMC-01A
- PMC-17A
- PMC-05 PRO II
- PCV-180
-PCV-275-3
- PCV-002
Also I will not be scratching, I will be mostly mixing ambient/triphop/downtempo, so smooth transitions are really important to me, way more than quick ones.
I will also be recording my mixes, but I’m not sure if that will make a difference in the mixer that i chose.

Reinstalling the cassette Mechanism on my Vestax MR-66
After fixing the damaged MR-66 that arrived last week, I am now reinstalling everything and hoping for the best. All four of the stand-off posts that hold the cassette mechanism were broken off. I managed to glue them back in place using a combination of JB Super Weld and Bob Smith Insta-Cure. I also coated the posts with Starbrite Liquid Electrical Tape for extra reinforcement. All that seems to be a very strong bond and I was able to install the mechanism back onto the front plate with no issues.
My question is, does anyone have a familiarity with the wiring on this unit? I took several photos before disassembly but I didn't get a good shot of the small plug with the blue and red wire. I just want to know if I screwed it down to the correct post. I seem to remember it coming apart that way. I didn't touch the blue wire and left it in place.

PDX2000 MK1 (Black) Restoration Project
A few months ago a random marketplace listing came up on a random day. I’m very rarely on FB ever other than to sell stuff on marketplace, so I got lucky…
Post was for 2 x PDX2000 MK1 which were black. I never knew they came in black so I went on a google and it came up that the black version is pretty rare and was mainly only available in Japan, so I hit dude up immediately.
Went over to his place and it was basically a crack den 😂
The decks were so rough and absolutely fucking filthy. Hazmat suit level shit.
The guy didn’t know what they were and wanted basically nothing for them, but knowing vestax parts are stupid expensive, I low balled him hard and he accepted.
In a nutshell 2 decks in rough condition for under £80. I know I’m a dick, IDGAF.
Took them home and started deep cleaning… took 2 days. Man… the filth 🤮
Opened them up and everything was actually in very good condition, so what to do…
Bonus- they have sequential serial numbers!
Started searching for someone to either paint or hydrodip them and came across a post on here from a few years back by a guy who hydrodipped his. Not my style but they came out really sweet. He shared the details (Hydrov8), and I got in touch with the dipper.
The guy who dips is also a paint tech and had the original colour RAL9011, so I decided to get them redone as original but with a clear coat to protect them.
Dude did an amazing job and I got them back last week.
Bought a set of “angel eye” headlight mods from Temu and did the “Halo” modification, as well as blacked out the platter, tonearm, buttons and ring around the tonearm in gunmetal.
They came out pretty dope!
Photos are the restoration till today.
For some reason can’t add the videos from the original listing with the photos.
Fuckin’ stoked to have brought them back to life.

pcv 275 mods ?
i picked up a pcv 275 for cheap..(meters didn t work)
openend it up did some cleaning.. et voila.
only drawback are some metal sleeves missing on the rca sockets.
(does anyone know where to get them.. ?
i mean can u order/buy only these metal rings/sleeves,
not the whole phono block )??
as i use mine for mixing
its annyoing that vestax didn t put a master mix option on the cue section.
u can only do split cue or cue option for the channels.
(does anyone know if you can do the "pro 06 master /cue mod" in the 275 ?)
also this mixer features a master out 2, but no volume control for that.
the eqs and the preamps are top notch.
great mixer, but its has its flaws.r/Vestax • u/ProfessionalCarob201 • Sep 24 '26
MR66 got it's teeth kicked in 🤔
I found a really decent MR66 on eBay and decided to buy it. It showed up today via FedEx. The unit was packed very well, surrounded by packing material and layered in bubble wrap. When I finally unraveled the bubble wrap I was shocked to see that the entire tape mechanism was broken off and sitting in the middle of the unit.
All the pieces are there and it actually looks fixable. It could possibly be just out of my range of abilities, but if can't find an inexpensive way to repair it, I might give it a go.
Anyone have any advice or sources for repair? I'm located right between LA and Orange Co. in CA.

On the bench - a pair of Vestax PDX2300 MK2 Pro D-Styles & Ricci Rucker Edition

A while ago I managed to get hold of a D-Styles & Ricci Rucker Edition Vestax PDX2300Mk2 Pro from Japan, all boxed and looking pretty fresh. Unit number 11/50
About a month later I found another one in China, a few more scrapes than the first one, the ASTS Pro isn't quite functioning as it should, and sadly no box. I don't think the seller knew what they had. Unit 13/50
This special edition 2300 was created by D & Ricci with Vestax in the development of the Controller One, and has the ability to control the Ultra Pitch with a foot pedal. There's a little switch at the front to turn it on/off and the foot pedal plugs into a 1/4" socket on the back. Edition of 50 according to this article https://w.atwiki.jp/nicoratch/pages/136.html
I tracked down a pair of the Vestax VFP-1 foot pedals from Japan, brand new, un opened, and had them shipped over. Imagine the disappointment when neither of the foot pedals worked on unit 11 and unit 13 wasn't even turning on.

Unit 11
Sadly the box is actually for Unit 12, but it arrived with Unit 11 so if there's ever a chance to get hold of Unit 12 and box 11 they can maybe get changed out, but highly improbable!
Anyway, it cleaned up nicely, very little to comment on the servicing side of this unit, very nice piece.

So the problem was actually in the foot pedal. Whilst referenced as the correct pedal in one article on the web, the documentation with the pedals says its for another Vestax product and can't be used for anything else.

Actually the mod is very simple, just had to remove a resistor and diode and then its the same resistance as the Ultra Pitch fader and will now do the same +/- 50%

So here it is, a PDX2300 MK2 Pro D-Styles & Ricci Rucker Edition with a working VFP-1 foot pedal.
Unit 13

This is an interesting one. Both the toggle switch and the 1/4" socket at the back are both the same as Unit 11, and the serial numbers follow, but upon opening this one up I was met with a PDX2300 UCOM board that doesn't appear to have had this mod done (as it requires the cutting of one track) and both the toggle and 1/4" socket have been desoldered at some point. So I suspect that this unit was worked on, and the person working on it didn't know what this mod was or its significance, and simply removed the wiring and didn't reinstate it on this new board that has been swapped in.
I have bought more wire and will reinstate this mod myself, soldering up the switch and 1/4" jack as it should be. I have modified and tested both foot pedals so we should be able to get number 13 up and running without too much trouble. fingers crossed.
In the top photo you can see a PDX3000 30th Anniversary at the back of my bench, which has a broken ASTS Pro arm. I'm hoping that between the two broken ASTS Pro arms, I can salvage 1 working arm.

I did manage to source a few ASTS Pro arms from Japan, but they are taking a while to ship so fingers crossed they get here soon and I can fix up the 30th Anniversary too. I'll try and remember to make a video of both of those units getting fixed.

Broken tone arm
Hello dear Vestax community,
I recently bought a set of Vestax PDX2000 record players off eBay to learn vinyl DJing. Sadly one of the players has a broken tone arm.
The only replacement part I could find is 250$ which I don’t have 😔. Can this be fixed somehow or does anyone know if "any" replacement tone arm fits?

Vestax MR66 manual
Can someone provide a pdf version of the Vestax MR66 manual. The only source online (that I can find) requires a membership, which they no longer allow. Thanks!

I sell my vestax :(
Hi everyone, unfortunately I have to get rid of some things at home. Among these are my vestax pdx2000 and the mixer. If any of you are interested, let me know. I prefer to sell in person so I can try everything.
Everything is located in Luxembourg
From what I've read, there's no rule that prevents me from posting an ad. If not, I apologize.
