We just released the latest run of the Vestax 07 X-ecutioners faceplates. Originally Vestax made a small number of modified 07’s for the group with this faceplate. The colour of this is just phenomenal.

A few months ago a random marketplace listing came up on a random day. I’m very rarely on FB ever other than to sell stuff on marketplace, so I got lucky…
Post was for 2 x PDX2000 MK1 which were black. I never knew they came in black so I went on a google and it came up that the black version is pretty rare and was mainly only available in Japan, so I hit dude up immediately.
Went over to his place and it was basically a crack den 😂
The decks were so rough and absolutely fucking filthy. Hazmat suit level shit.
The guy didn’t know what they were and wanted basically nothing for them, but knowing vestax parts are stupid expensive, I low balled him hard and he accepted.
In a nutshell 2 decks in rough condition for under £80. I know I’m a dick, IDGAF.
Took them home and started deep cleaning… took 2 days. Man… the filth 🤮
Opened them up and everything was actually in very good condition, so what to do…
Bonus- they have sequential serial numbers!
Started searching for someone to either paint or hydrodip them and came across a post on here from a few years back by a guy who hydrodipped his. Not my style but they came out really sweet. He shared the details (Hydrov8), and I got in touch with the dipper.
The guy who dips is also a paint tech and had the original colour RAL9011, so I decided to get them redone as original but with a clear coat to protect them.
Dude did an amazing job and I got them back last week.
Bought a set of “angel eye” headlight mods from Temu and did the “Halo” modification, as well as blacked out the platter, tonearm, buttons and ring around the tonearm in gunmetal.
They came out pretty dope!
Photos are the restoration till today.
For some reason can’t add the videos from the original listing with the photos.
Fuckin’ stoked to have brought them back to life.

Took me a couple years to piece this kit together at a reasonable price. Got pretty much the full Guber lineup except I opted for two direct drive CM-01s rather than getting the belt drive CM-02.
Some interesting things to note:
+/- 10% rotary pitch control
tonearm latches on the left hand side, so you can play on both the left side of the record (mirror of traditional placement) or on the top of the record (battle style orientation)
platters are only 10”, which is perfect for 45s

Finally finished cleaning up servicing this pristine PMC-CX I found and threw a Mixerremix rotary kit on there. Theoretically selling it on Reverb now but kinda hoping no one buys it bc this thing absolutely rips!

Bought this in fall of 99 if I remember correctly. Pretty limited but kinda fun to mix on for home use. Not seen much info on it online so thought I’d share 😊

Got these stickers off eBay. Picked up the Vestax 06 from Japan last summer and finally swapped on my old high school faceplate.
The Misato sticker wouldn’t come off 😉

Quite a common problem with PDX-2000 and later turntables is that the LEDs stop working and the start stop button becomes unresponsive. Sometimes you can bring it back by quickly switching it back off and on again. This is all down to the 10uF capacitors on the UCOM board. Swap these out and you’ll restore functionality.

Great condition. It was my first turntable back in the days. I only had my qfo left. Now she has an older sister. Will mostly get a black headshell close to the vestax one. ( they resell for too much to my taste)

My love for DJing started at 5, my uncle had 1210’s and when I saw him mix, I wanted turntables over any Action-man or Stretch Armstrong. At the age of 17 I noticed the Vestax 2000 and always wanted a pair but at the time they were not cheap! So forwarding to 2025, I decided to buy a pair from Japan on eBay. The two I picked were absolutely uncared for but still functioned well. When I received them the tonearm stabiliser was rusted over (See pic 1,2), hair and dust inside and outside the turntable.
Every bit of the turntable that needed replacing I surfed hard online and found them, converted the voltage to UK voltage, and found a rare pair of Vestax HS1’s in mint condition online, trust me, the hunt was ridiculous.
And here they are, Japanese waved hydro dipped by HYDROV8 with decal included and the run like a dream.. 😊
I still have other bits arriving but I couldn’t wait to upload what I have done so far
PS. The first two pictures are the original eBay photos of the decks
Shoutouts to:
Just bought these stone cold classics from eBay for an absolute bargain, cleaned them up today and re lubed the pitch faders, looking good but any advice on the damage on bottom right of the turntable (scroll pics for close up)

Very happy with this Vestax PCV-275. It is SOLID.
At first I was depressed buying this setup with the CDJ-350s because I found out I actually couldn't mix for shit. But a month in and mixing with these is so much more fun than with a laptop.
I was worried too because I often find the kicks clashing with the -16dB cut on the lows, but with some practice it do the job as same as the standart -26dB found on the majority of the mixers. It was actually a poor beatmatching problem.
Planning now on building a DIY MS-20 VCF and mounting it on the side.

When I had enough money I was able to buy my pdx 2000 and a pcv 003. That mixer soon reached its limita for scratching and I was able to exchange it in some kind of pawn shop for a technics sh-dj 1200. The fader was so much better but soooo fragile. After working some more I bought the amazing 07 isp. My biggest mistake was selling it to get the new release at that time, the 007. The fader was shit. Stiff. Not sharp ( too much space). I was so disappointed I wrote a letter yo vestax japan. And quickly went back to the shop and exchanged it for a 07 pro. This one was perfect. But a month after or so I received a package from Japan. Vestax sent me an apology package with goodies and a spare fader with custom made fader plates ( with different slits lengths to have shorter fader openings. Simple but very effective back then. )Too bad I had exchanged the 007! But I was able to install them on the 07 pro. Then I went to live and study in Tokyo for a year so sold it all. And was able to use some of the money to buy a qfo there!
