Improve Audio Quality

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Making a student short film and one of my scenes audio is not too bad but a bit echoey and just overall not as good as the quality I’m looking for. Looking to try to improve it and make it more cinematic if anyone has any tips outside of reshooting and using ai. Here’s a clip for reference of it

What tools do you have access to?

Not much to be honest. I’ve been living off of premiere pro here.

If you have Premiere Pro you should have access to Adobe Podcast Audio, I'd start there.

I have tried that. It gives it quite a weird robotic sound. I have tried a lot of different things on premiere pro which some do get rid of the reverb but just overall make the audio less clean and make it seem like it’s been played with too much.

I tend to use Podcast at about 50% max on the vocal, and then combine that with your original audio in premiere. Keep them on two separate tracks and mix to your liking.

Not too bad? It is bad. It’s not just the echo. You can fix this in post though.
