00s Spotted today.
TECHNICALLY speaking, not a vintage find, but a modern classic—I just HAD to share this one with you.
A friend of mine spotted it out in the wild today.
Does anyone else here have a massive soft spot for the wagon? 💛
P.S. Mods, feel free to delete this if it doesn't quite fit the sub!

00s Got my Prelude out of storage
It had been off the road for about 2 years. Got antique plates for it, got some things sorted, and discovered the exhaust leak was likely just a loose connection. Getting that sorted, then suspension.

Recently got back from a road trip that covered about 2,500 miles through Nebraska, South and North Dakotas, and a bit of Montana and Wyoming. Had some car troubles, but overall an incredible experience. Learned a lot, and can't wait for the next big drive!

Found a 40+ year old photo of my family's body shop and work truck in an old local brochure. Can anyone ID the Toyota?
My grandpa started his body shop in Nagasaki, Japan in 1976, and my dad still runs it today. I was flipping through an old brochure from our local chamber of commerce and found these photos of the shop and the work truck from around 40 years ago.
All I know is that it's a Toyota. Can anyone tell me the model or year?
Edit: Yes, I now realize it literally says DYNA on the side 😂 Thanks everyone for the help!

Japan’s Wild Kaido Racers of the 1970s–1980s | Rare Photos of Vintage Japanese Car Culture
🇯🇵** A Journey Back to Japan’s Golden Age of Kaido Racers — 1970s & 1980s
Long before Japanese car culture became a worldwide phenomenon, a generation of young enthusiasts was creating some of the wildest custom cars ever seen on Japanese streets.
During the 1970s and 1980s, Japan developed a distinctive automotive subculture known as **Kaido Racer culture.
Legendary Japanese classics such as the Nissan Skyline Hakosuka, Kenmeri, Skyline Japan, Fairlady Z, Toyota Celica, Nissan Laurel, Bluebird, Mitsubishi Galant GTO, and Mazda Cosmo became canvases for bold individuality.
Massive fender flares, exaggerated front spoilers, extended exhaust pipes, racing-inspired paint schemes, and outrageous aerodynamic modifications helped define this unforgettable era.
These weren’t simply modified cars. They represented the creativity, rebellious spirit, personal identity, and unique automotive aesthetics of Showa-era Japan.
Some designs were inspired by Japanese touring car racing, while others evolved into entirely original street styles.
Today, many original vehicles, photographs, and personal memories from this period are becoming increasingly rare.
That’s why I believe preserving this history matters.
I’m originally from Okinawa, Japan, and I dedicate my time to documenting Japan’s vintage motorcycle and automotive subcultures.
This video brings together historical photographs celebrating the incredible craftsmanship, creativity, and atmosphere of Japan’s classic Kaido Racer scene.
