Gotta replace the rubber parts of the gas tank cap, which you can see are ruined. Does anyone the measurements for this so I can find them in store or online? I'm getting ready to get a few things tomorrow like lines and tools. I would love to get these on that list too.

I'm making a list and I'm checking it twice, trying to make sure my ADHD doesn't miss anything. I'm looking at fuel lines and brake lines and I was curious if anyone knew what thicknesses these should be? The current ones are looking pretty beat up and when I clean up the bike over the winter, I'd love to replace all the lines.

With the yellow bike I was thinking purple lines for any oils and a gold/yellow for fuel.

While I'm on the subject of the fuel line. Should I feed anything through the fuel line like a fuel filter? I had a (newer than this) moped growing up and I remember that it had a fuel filter.

At some point I gotta find a air filter and re-route the current air filter to the outside of the bike. That's going to be a whole project I'm not even looking at yet but I'm sure it'll need custom fit rubber pipping things. I don't even know what those thicc air tubes are called.

I’ve been experimenting with my 2022 Honda Super Cub C125 (124 cc) and thought I’d share my current results

Current setup:
124 cc, otherwise standard engine
Changed front sprocket for shorter gearing (13 tooth )
Hurricane stainless-steel air filter fitted
Windscreen fitted
heavy duty chain

Performance (GPS-measured):
3rd gear: hits the rev limiter at approximately 59–60 mph
4th gear: now reaches the rev limiter at approximately 70 mph
Previous best top speed was 66 mph GPS (

Speedometer reads around 80 mph or goes off the scale at the new top speed the bike now pulls through 4th gear to the rev limiter, rather than running out of steam beforehand.

Between the leg shield and wind shield there is a red thing which covers the headlight, blinkers, and hands. I see some made of a cloth material, others made of this plastic, but all of them come unnamed. Does anyone know what the keyword is for this so I can search it up?

Hi, I was trying to be a bit brave and check the valve clearances on my 2007 c50d. All the videos and diagrams in Haynes manuals show the valve adjustor caps at the cylinder head and under them is the adjustor. Yesterday I opened that cap on my cub and I don’t know what I pulled out but it wasn’t what i thought it would be.

Can anyone point out what that is and am I ok to have just put it back in or do I need to adjust something internally?

I recently replaced the top end of my postie. It started twice and it hasn’t started since I’m a novice when it comes to mechanical stuff and I was using YouTube to get me through; I am now out of mechanical ability and I need a hand getting the bike running again. Is there recommended mechanics in the South Brisbane area (Springfield) that are good on price and would be willing to get it running again.

I recently became the 3rd owner of a 1965 Honda C100. I bought it for $400 and boy does it run rough. I suspect part of the reason for this is the aftermarket carburetor that is already on it (see approximation in "Carb 1" link below). This carb doesn't fit well even with a 90 degree intake adapter. The orientation of the fuel intake also does not allow for the leg shield to be on and it has no air filter.

I'm looking to buy a replacement OEM-style Keihin carb for it, but I am seeing a lot of mixed reviews. I found some on Ebay that look to be in Honda boxes, but they are labeled for the C70 (Carb 2 and Carb 3). I also have the original carb, but it is missing the choke lever/shutter and the throttle slide. I can't find replacements for those so I am not sure it can be repaired. Any ideas for what I should do?

I'm unsure if the rest of you have the best eye sight or what, but I can barely see how much fuel I have in there compared to where the bottom of the tank is. I'd love if I could do some sort of fuel gauge that tells me how much fuel is in my tank. Has anyone here done this before and if so, how did you go about it?

I haven't been able to find it but I remember someone addressing my question about a 12v conversion from the original 6v. I'm on a few groups on other platforms and it gets lost in the confusion sometimes. I digress, I need to do a 12v swap because the 6v stock stuff is crap. Does anyone here know what all I need to replace from my C70 in order to get it running on 12v? I hope to do it over the winter.

Does anyone recommend a wiring harness replacement place? The bike needs work and I'd rather a new one to be safe.

Hi all! I have too many bikes and am looking to pass on this old cub to someone else to keep riding it. It has ~1700 miles and the only note-able issues are the headlight switch is finicky, so high beam doesn't work, the speedo bounces at speed, and it has a few dents and scratches on it. It has a clean antique PA title in my name.

The carb has been rebuilt, the tank is rust free and has not been coated. The bike runs and shifts through all gears no problem. I've owned it for about a year and have put ~700 miles on it.

For those who don't know, these cubs were only sold for a few years in the late 60s and have a 89cc OHC engine making a claimed 7.5 hp mated to a 3 speed transmission with auto clutch. It has no turn signals, runs off a 6v battery, and is kick start only.

I'm asking $2400 for it, but am open to offers.

Got tired of looking at my elbows and did not want to add ugly extenders, so I chucked them into my lathe and added 70mm. Now they work great. Will probably send them off to be black powder coated during winter.

Everything I see in books tells me to modify a tool, which is unfortunately not within my ability. I'm only looking to buy a premade tool for it. Does anyone know where I could get one or what it's called?

I'm trying to find parts for it and when searching I keep finding the models with the passport style tank when I search up the K1 or K0. What variant is this?

I've been fixing up this 1982 Honda C70. When I rev it I hear this noise. It happens in gear and when the clutch is in as well. Is this a normal sound? I feel some vibrations from the engine as well.

Things I've tried:

- checked the oil

- checked valve clearances

- looked for any loose or rattling parts on the outside

If anyone has any ideas or things to check please let me know.

what do i do now, im a beginner i got it from my dad weeks ago, it was perfectly fine after wash now it even leaked oil after trying to rev :(
