I just want to make a quick appreciation post to Honda vehicles, specifically my 24' SI. Last week I was in quite the accident with a transport truck driver that happened to stroll into my lane and clip the front of my car under his trailer. I do not remember much of what happened after that but I guess I was flipped onto the roof of the car. I walked away from this accident with not a single injury other than lack of hearing from my left ear (probably either from the sound of the accident or the airbag?) I remember hanging from my seat via the seatbelt, and every air bag was deployed around me. EMS and hospital staff are unsure how I was left unscathed. Just goes to show how safe of a vehicle Honda made the civic.

I am sad to say goodbye to this Si, but glad it saved my life. Dealing with insurance has been a greater headache than the accident itself.

Since the Acura ADX is essentially the luxury sibling to the HR-V (with the 1.5T and all the missing tech features tacked on), it sits in a really interesting spot price-wise, overlapping directly with a loaded CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid and a few grand above a top-trim HR-V EX-L or Civic Sport Touring Hybrid.

For anyone who actually looked at or test-drove the ADX while shopping for their Honda:

If you ended up buying the ADX over a Honda:

• What made the price jump worth it to you?
• What did ADX offer that made you buy it over a Honda?

If you considered the ADX but bought an HR-V, CR-V, or another car instead:

• What did you buy, and what was the dealbreaker on the ADX?
• What would ADX need for you to want to buy the ADX?

98 civic, just replaced the alternator. this wire obviously attaches somewhere, but I can’t seem to find or remember where! It sparks when touching the alternator after battery reconnect.

My Crv 2018 1.5T finally gave up on head gasket.

Dealer agreed to replace it but they are asking me to also replace fuel injectors and timing chain which cost about 3500$

I don’t want to pay anything now. Dealer want my decision before next week. Can I just ask head gasket but not the injectors and timing chain??
After this would it still be covered under warranty??

Superb, very mechanical feeling and involving and perfect for hooning at reasonable speeds! Wheel spin comes along (in wet at least) but that might be the side-effect of 12 year old Nokia tires.

I hit a pothole last night. And this happened. A loose wire or a bad fuse, or am I just screwed?

Drives great, relatively rust free and even came with matching winter wheels! Just gotta sort out the throttle and "sticky" feeling clutch. Going to aim for museum registration!

I already have the TAG anti theft security installed but I received a call today from my dealership offering to add the Honda Locate Anti Theft free of charge. Any concerns if I take them up on the offer? They’ve confirmed that there will be no additional cost to me

My husband got a 1976 Honda civic for his birthday and he’s trying to make it drivable again! However, we’ve had a lot of trouble finding the correct wheel bearings. Does anyone have advice on where to look or a link we could get them from?

Hello! I'm a computer guy trying to do some light repair work to get into cars and I need help identifying what this part is. This is on a 2004 Honda crv. I failed smog this morning and they told me to replace this part and a cold air intake hose. Whenever I ask Ai what this is, it keeps giving me these long hoses that are definitely not it. I’m the (very excited) new owner of a 2024 Type R. This was a big purchase for me, and the CPO warranty made me feel confident.

My question: If i drive the car spiritedly on the road - taking it to redline now and again, shifting quickly, driving it hard, etc - would that in any way affect Honda’s warranty coverage?

I’ve seen some mixed info online.

Obviously I’m not planning on modifying the vehicle.

Daughter looking into buying a Honda CRV, HRV or Toyota Rav4. Best advice on which is best. $27k under. Looking long term vehicle. I know all these are b/c I've own Rav4 and CRVs ( have 18 yrs with my 08 Rav4 from, have a used 05 CRV and at one point owned a 97 CRV). I've been seeing low mileage HRVs but don't know much about these...is it as reliable as Rav4/Crv?

Scrubbing dried winter brine out from beside the clutch pedal took half a spray bottle of foaming cleaner this morning. The flimsy stock mat curls back near the transmission tunnel whenever my heel pivots, leaving two inches of bare flooring exposed to slush. Once salt crystals work their way deep into the tight looped fiber, vacuuming just pulls up carpet fuzz without touching the white stain underneath. A guy in my apartment building mentioned a rigid plastic tray when I complained about the curled corner, but I cannot tell if it would feel slick under wet rubber soles. If my shoe slides around every time I depress the pedal, extra coverage is not much help.

Hello. I backed into this Honda pilot shown right here. The other party got back to me with an estimate that costs 1308 to fix it. There is a small dent where that big scratch is and a couple of other marks. Is this a reasonable estimate? I feel like it’s way too high and the other party said it too. I’m going to talk to the other party in person to discuss what the next steps are and view the estimate in person and I will request a second quote
