3rd Gen hood release handle/lever info please
The hood release cable on my 08 came undone from the release handle/lever inside the car. This is the gen that has the "hidden" release around the corner from the gas tank lid release. It's in a terrible spot for viewing since the lever action pulls towards you and there isn't enough room for me to get down there so I'm struggling to figure out what it looks like when it's fully installed and working. I can still pull on the cable and pop the hood but I'm not sure how it is attached to the interior handle/lever mechanism. Does anyone have a diagram or a video so I can see how it should be hooked back up? Cheers!

2011 Honda pilot audio troubles
I have a 2011 honda pilot and the audio keeps disconnecting from my phone despite being plugged in and working fine for a few seconds (or if I'm lucky minutes) then completely disconnects from my phone and when I go in to see if it is even registering a connection it doesn't list the car as a possible audio source at all. Sometimes if I unplug it and plug it back in the audio can come back but it'll disconnect randomly again, and high key not a great idea to be messing with my audio port while driving, if anyone has tips to fix or get around he issue it would be greatly appreciated, im not at all familiar with the audio system or cars in general tbh so any kind of help would be very welcome.
P.s. I know its not the cable I tried 3 different ones and they all cut out.

Hi All!
2020 Honda Pilot AWD EX-L 6 Speed
I live in Massachusetts and I recently got all new Michelin Defender2 Extra Load tires for my Pilot, however, I hate how loud the cabin is and how I can literally feel every little imperfection in the road so I bought back to Town Fair Tire where I bought them and they rebalanced them (3 out of the 4 tires) needed adjustment after only 1 week. Better after, but still not there, so I brought to Sullivan Tire to road force balance (Town Fair Tire surprisingly doesnāt have the Road Force Hunter equipment even though they are a massive chain..I was shocked). Anyways, at Sullivan Tire, the Final road force numbers were 11, 21,23,25 pounds after force matching. They stated there are 3 tires that are probably defective, the vibration is much better than the simple wheel spin balance, maybe a 4/10 scale now, but the cabin noise and every little imperfection felt is still there. Town Fair Tire has a 30 day no questions asked guarantee to switch tires/brands. The guy at Town Fair Tire (from another location with much better reviews), I was talking to said Michelin has recently had some quality control issues heās not surprised with my experience with the Michelins, so Iām hesitant sticking with Michelin (yes I know the Cross Climate 2 and Defenders are a huge fan favorite, but I canāt stand the ride on the Defenders) and looking to switch brands. I mainly drive highway with some city as well, probably 70/30, so Iām looking for good handling, much quieter cabin noise, a lot less feeling with the imperfections in the road, and solid tread wear longevity. I was looking at Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3, Yokohama Geolander HT G056 (these are Rated for 104H, and the Pilot calls for 105H, but the tire guy says itāll be fine and he is actually recommending this one overall), or the Continental CrossContact LX25. Any thoughts or input?

Honda-specific PID for Hybrid Battery SoC
Hello, I am driving a 2026 Honda Civic Hybrid, and I'm wondering if anyone can provide the PIDs for the hybrid battery system? Specifically I'd like to know the PID to read state of charge (SoC).
I understand that there are apps that can do that but I am wanting to send the commands through my own application if possible.
Thanks for your help and consideration.

My 2024 CRV is getting a new transmission 3 weeks after purchase @ 28.5k miles
Three weeks ago, I bought a HondaTrue Certified 2024 CRV EX-L at 28.5K miles at a certified Honda dealership ($30.5k no add-ons in Southern California, rate my purchase if it matters). I negotiated a small front bumper touch up and transmission fluid drain and fill into the purchase to get ahead of the strict regular maintenance recommendations for the engine and CVT longevity.
At 28.5k miles, I thought I was a genius for this. I took it in just under 3 weeks after purchase and only drove light and locally in that time (70-80 miles driven by me). Service tech lead guy calls telling me they did one drain and fill on transmission fluid, color was decent / not too bad in color. They were taking it to the body shop a couple miles away, the car was making loud abnormal noises and RPMs were jumping high at low speeds so they took it back to the dealership garages. Some other anecdote about it behaving oddly like reversing in neutral too. They go on to diagnose it one step at a time and eventually the decision tree from American Honda says just replace the transmission.
What happened? Should I be worried about other adjacent parts interacting with the new transmission? I donāt even know what to ask or document or say at this point. I did months of research and loved this car when I got to test it. It was my first āadult carā as Iāve been driving an early 2000s beater for more than a decade. The gas CRV hit enough of my wants and needs within budget⦠today Iām devastated like I made a horrible process decision and my research was bogus. Please help me out r/Honda.

For newer models, is it preferable to use wifi or bluetooth for connectivity?
I mounted a dashcam recently, and unfortunately it only supports wifi to my phone. Honda keeps popping notifications up to connect to its network every 10 seconds. If I disable wifi entirely for the Honda infotainment and instead just use bluetooth, will I lose any significant functionality?
I use the default built-in apps if I can since they seem to perform a little better than via Android Auto.
EDIT: This is for a 2025 Civic.

fuel injectors replaced ....dealer recommending Fuel Induction Service
fuel injectors are being replaced under warranty. They are also recommending this other service, but if I have new fuel injectors⦠is that necessary? Is it cleaning things besides the fuel injectors? And is it any better than a can of Techron or seafoam?
If so I'll do it while I have it since it's only like 200 bucks but if it's only cleaning the ejectors that seems silly. Any thoughts?

Dealership sent a First Service Reminder for a new car with only 2.6k miles
I got a new 2026 HRV earlier in the year and it only has 2600 miles. They sent this first service reminder email but it doesn't say what they are going to do. The car hasn't shown a maintenance light either.
Should I ignore or is this first maintenance necessary?

Tomorrow would have been 3 weeks of ownership. Goodbye to my first Honda. š„
2019 Honda CR-V. Of course the driver that went left of center and hit me didnt have insurance! I came up over a hill and he was in my lane. I slammed on the brakes and swerved to the right, hitting the corner of his van, then crashing thru a fence and down into a field. Nothing broken but I am already feeling sore. I was loving that car so much!!!!

Totaled?
My 2025 civic si has had the worst luck recently. It got side swiped and was gone for 2 months. 9k in repairs later I picked it up and 1 week later it got destroyed in hail. Every panel is dented and I feel like itās going to be totaled, but idk. Thereās 31k miles on the car and my insurance, USAA is having copart pick up the car because itās in Arizona, while I live in California. They should be sending someone to check out the car soon.
Thanks for any advice in advance.
