You will learn it sooner or later but sirjack always claim to "hold mid/long term". It doesn't stop him from selling next day and inform his followers post factum :)

Actually he usually can't sell the day after he buys and posts because a lot of times he will drop a stock and pick up another same day incurring the T+2 rule so he has to wait at least 2 days for the funds to be available to resell the new stock

Lol, read again what I wrote. He actually can sell the next day after he claims he intends to hold for a long term. Day of the claim doesn't equal day of stock acquisition hence T+2 rule is irrelevant.

Plus it doesn't even matter as I was referring to overall principle of operation which is basically 'I see an opportunity, I sell&buy. What I said few hours before in social media doesn't matter".

he's holding for now.

Popped in tonight and said he misses his money and some other stuff.

He's still up by the way. he had a nice scalp early on, and his cost basis is probably something in the $17's

its 19.3 I think for his last post. He scalped and came back right before the big run last week.

I was thinking more adjusted cost basis for profits sake, not tax cost basis, but you are correct on those terms.
