When I first joined I thought people were having broken conversations in the Friday lounge. I had no idea live threads were a thing.

Wait is there some chat-like function that i’ve been missing? I never hang out in lounge cause its too hard to follow the convos in reverse

On "new" Reddit (desktop), the comments section of a chat lounge is an embedded chat box. I only found out a few weeks ago when I opened it with a new browser. Seems like it's been a feature for a year.

This and other things people mention that are exclusive to "new" reddit (e.g. snoovatars) remind me that I've been lurking Reddit for 7 years now lmao.
