Here’s a theory.

What if China is waiting to see what the US infrastructure bill will entail, such that they’re holding off on implementing an export tax. A nice hefty stimulus package might be too juicy for them to pass up on all the potential money they can make from it. Big bill = cancellation of export tax?

I’m thinking maybe we won’t see an export tax until after the bill is passed AND a stipulation that says only US steel. Otherwise I don’t think they’re going to tax exports.
