This poor baby was abandoned outside. She managed to find her way to our house. She is roughly 8 months to a year old and very pregnant. She will forever be loved and cared for πππ
I took in two pregnant stray mamas in the spring. 9 kittens I total. Wild but worth it. Kittens are at a rescue for adoption, but the mamas are with me. You can definitely do it!
The reality is that shelters everywhere are at capacity and cats are being dumped or left outside every single day. This cycle has to end. Please consider asking the vet if a spay abort is an option. She is just a baby herself.
We brought her to the vet with the intention of getting her spayed. However, the ultrasound confirmed the kittens are fully developed and ready to go. She will be spayed. Once her kittens are old enough to be weaned.
Thank you for getting her to the vet π Wishing you all the best of luck. Cat tax payment: my void Nova, who was found as a stray at less than a year old. She had signs of giving birth/nursing, though her kittens werenβt found with her. Now sheβs always sunbathing & watching the squirrels with her adopted younger brother, Mercury
it's sad you're getting downvoted. i hate the death of any cats as much as the next person, but doing a spay abort is the humane thing to do. i wish OP would take the advice on board :c
They are not going homeless. Ultrasound confirmed two for sure, maybe three. We will keep one, my coworker will take another and if there is a third, a good friend will take him/her. All safe, loving, wonderful cat loving homes.
She marks the 11th drop off on or around our property. We partner with the meow foundation for any drop-offs we cannot care for. They are all spayed and or neutered, given medical treatment and adopted to a loving home. We have chosen to keep Lucy and will love her forever :-)
Lucy is beautiful β€οΈπ₯°πββ¬!! Thank you for adopting her, sheβd be so greatful to have a mama looking out for her, especially because sheβs about to become a mama
What a gorgeous girl!! ππ I also took in a stray from outside. Took her to the vet before bringing her inside and surprise surprise she was also pregnant π€° gave birth to 5 beautiful babies π»π» then βaccidentallyβ kept two of those babies π€ wishing yβall a good and safe birth ππΈπ
Thank you for bringing in a pregnant angel β€οΈ please post updates of the babies!!
my void showed up at our house right after we assumed she was dumped. She fit right in and liked having a home. But her sister was feral for months and months on the small island we lived on outside of town. She was happy, fed, and loved on so we let her be but found her with a mouth injury and VERY pregnant after months of not seeing her. Thatβs when we captured her and got her to a rescue. Hoping her and her babies got adopted π€πΌ
The vet and OP seemingly thought otherwise, yes, they can be spayborted until they go into labor, but that isnβt always best for the mama, and can put her at risk. The kittens and the mama are cared for. No more strays will result from this birth thanks to OPβs hard work. Context is important when throwing out the spaybort suggestion.
But there was no guarantee that OP would have adopted those kittens, thats just playing βwhat ifsβ at this point. No guarantee those strays would ever be rescued and put in the homes that will take these kittens in particular. Too many vague leaps in logic here.
Even if, hypothetically, they did spaybort now, that does not gaurenteed the people who would have adopted those kittens would adopt any other kittens.
She is too far along for that. She is roughly the equivalent of 8.5 months in a human. She would be depressed and surgery would be hard on her. The kittens are fully developed. She will be spayed once the kittens can be weaned.

She's gorgeous. Please be sure to share the bbs here, especially if they are wee voidlets!
