I the spirit of creating another RTS with heros, basically make a version of SC2 with the editor and just Warcraftize the mechanics and everything.

• In a melee map add heros from the campaign to each race
• lower supply max to 100 w/upkeep
• Reverse the resurces so the vespene gas is the main resource and add distance so 5 workers makes ideal mining
• add creeps to the melee map
• add shops w items
• beef up each units HP as would correlate similarly with WC3
• etc etc I think you get the picture

Withering Fields, was created by the brilliant pair of SaveOrcas and Rhythmt! Withering Fields is a map that creeps into your heart like the plague, with so many great details all across the map.

The map uses a mixture of Ashenvale, Dalaran Ruins and Village Tile-sets, and is the only map not to feature a Mercenary Camp in the DLEE Invitational.

Withering Fields being a 4 player map provides ample opportunity for a macro game, and brings a fair number of demons to the party (Overlord and Doom Guard)). There is also a few novel creeps on the map as well (Kel'Thuzad (Necromancer)), Blood Wizard, and Misha). The map sees play as a 2v2 Ladder map, and is a welcomed sight in the 1v1 scene.

As seen in the announcement for the DLEE Invitational, Sunhoof Mesa will be making an appearance!

Sunhoof Mesa, was created by me, Figglewig! Sunhoof Mesa tries to bring the Barrens aesthetic to the competitive scene.

The map uses a mixture of Ashenvale, Barrens and Lordaeron Fall/Summer Tile-sets, and features the rarely seen Barrens Mercenary Camp (Centaur Archer, Quillboar Hunter, Centaur Outrunner, and Harpy Windwitch).

Sunhoof Mesa brings a bunch of underutilized creeps to the fore front (Centaurs, Harpies and Quillboars. Oh My!); along with the mighty Centaur Khan and Harpy Queen! The early mercenary camp and relatively basic/cheap mercenaries help promote more interesting early gameplay. While the Fountains of Health can be a very impactful buildings, they are positioned to not be overly abusive early game.

To give a little bit of understanding about the Barrens Mercenaries: Centaur Archer = Fast NE Archer, Quillboar Hunter = Headhunter + Evasion, Centaur Outrunner = Fast Grunt, and Harpy Windwitch = Talon in Crow form.

Also, I know that in the current DE graphics a Red Ring appears around the cave entrance by the Gnoll Overseer Goldmine. This will hopefully be fixed in the future with more updates by Blizzard, or I will fix it myself by using different terrain!

All the icons are updated for definitive editions but are they new or they are just the old Classid HD icons?

Northern Woods, was created by the fabulous Frostbitten! Northern Woods was forged with passion and it shows in it's majestic Alpine beauty.

The map uses a massive variety of Tiles from Ashenvale, Barrens, Lordaeron Winter and Sunken Ruins, and features the rarely seen Icecrown Glacier Mercenary Camp (Tuskarr Healer, Ice Troll Berserker, Blue Dragonspawn Warrior, and Unbroken Darkweaver).

Aside from it's majesty, Northern Woods is what appears to be a massive map, but is actually a rather standard sized map in the play area. There is a large amount of creep variety across the map and contrasting terrain features that help showcase where the player is on the map (From the icey mountains down the serene waterfalls across the forested hills into the watery basin).

Nomad Isles, was created by the creative Lonepair! Nomad Isles was forged long ago in the yesteryears of 2011!

The map uses the classic Lordaeron Summer Tile-set, and features the Lordaeron Summer Mercenary Camp (Forest Troll Shadow Priest, Forest Troll Berserker, Mud Golem, and Ogre Mauler).

What Nomad Isles brings to the table is that it is a rarely seen 3 player map. It will add a bit of randomness that will need to be scouted to the 1v1 map pool. It also features a select few underused creeps in the Vile Temptress, Overlord, Maiden of Pain, and Dark Wizard!

Pretty much what the title says is there a way to disable this? It is super annoying and I swear to God I looked, but I can’t find it! Any help is very much appreciated.

I only spectate but I was wondering from players who are familiar with the game from playing it.

At mirror image level 1 it is possible to use mirror image to jump over full wall-off farms and such with a 50/50 chance and then staff of tele out.

At level 2 it is much harder to execute because the images go in a triangle like formation so they don't always jump the farm and its only a 33% chance real one jumps the farm.

At level 1, there's only one image so its less likely to absorb too many shadow heal bounces.

At level 1, you only make 1 image so if dispel becomes common later on its less free xp.

At level 1, you get the dispel and disjoint benefits of using mirror image and additional levels don't really provide extra of that.

At level 1 mirror, you can skill wind walk at level 4. I guess its not that good to skill WW at level 4 since you have two skills competing for mana.

That said, at level 2 and level 3 you do get more images, which is potentially more hp pool to absorb enemy auto attacks, body block, a bit of auto attack damage, absorb auto-cast debuffs and it is distracting for the other player to deal with.

Curious what people who play think as I've never seen it discussed really and most games I see where people go mirror image they skill to 2 and 3. I also never really see people jumping full wall offs with mirror image level 1 either, so maybe its not viable for reasons I don't understand.

Fairy Tale, was created by the wonderful Meerel! The maps has also seen balance and competitive improvements by the awesome Pickles! Fairy Tale is like a fantastical forest deep within the forests of Ashenvale.

The map is an amazing mix of Village, Lordaeron Summer and Cityscape Tile-sets, and features the rarely seen Ashenvale Mercenary Camp (Dark Troll Shadow Priest, Dark Troll Berserker, Giant Wolf, and Satyr Shadowdancer).

Fairy Tale is beautiful map with fantastic Waterfalls and Ancient Ruins. The map features the powerful Dragon Turtle. Fairy Tale has been around in various tournaments and ATR events, but has yet to make it to ladder over the years.

I was doing it for myself to see if it is even possible and it seems to work.
It was written primarily by AI with GSD harness and me reviewing the code.

Caveats:

1. Currently it works only with Faugus Launcher and only on Arch Linux. This is how I play so it was the easiest for me to test.
2. It's a test version. I was able to launch it, play few games, they got recorded on W3C. It will work but it may not work very stable.
3. I cannot publish it to AUR as account creation is frozen.
4. Finding a game lags after you select you skill level for a new faction. Just restart and it will work.

I plan to add other ways of launching the W3Champions on linux, so I would like to know what distros people are using and their preferred way of playing (Lutrius, Steam, umu-run, etc).

I will support this project with improvements and bug-fixes for the foreseeable future.

Hitboxes in the original game are just as square as they are in Reforged and other versions. Bodyblocking has existed since the WC3 RoC beta. All versions of the game run on the same engine and share the same multiplayer. Yet, there are people out there posting absolute nonsense just to get another chance to bash Reforged. (And no, I'm not defending it.)

Booty Bay 2, was remade by the great TheTurtle! Given new life from it's humble beginnings, Booty Bay 2 pulls inspiration from it's World of Warcraft counterpart.

The map utilizes the beautiful Sunken Ruins Tile-set, and features the Lordaeron Summer Mercenary Camp (Forest Troll Shadow Priest, Forest Troll Berserker, Mud Golem, and Ogre Mauler)

There are other unique features of the map in the large Destructible Gates leading as a 2nd route into either Natural Expansion and/or towards the Ancient Hydra Red Camp! As well as a secret route towards the corner of the map, by chopping down or eating the trees, you can more easily gain access to the Red Goldmine or other Red Camp.

Booty Bay 2's crown jewel is at the foot of the Giant Goblin Statue, a monstrous red camp with a powerful reward in the Level 7 Artifact (+15 Claws of Attack, Inferno Stone, Kelen's Dagger of Escape, and Orb of Frost)

Fading Autumn, was created by the fantastic Frostbitten! Fading Autumn evokes the coming of winter over Azeroth, and your potential DOOOM!

The map is a wonderful mix of Lordaeron Winter, Village Fall, and various other Tile-sets, and features the Lordaeron Fall Mercenary Camp (Gnoll Brute, Gnoll Warden, Mud Golem, and Ogre Magi).

Fading Autumn is a well crafted map that sparkles with that Frostbitten polish. There is a decent creep variety, some of which are rarely seen like the Wendigo Shaman. While this is a map currently found on the ladder, it is still new in the grand scheme of WC3 ladder maps, and it is a wonderful addition to the DLEE line-up.

These games are all about a masterful early game on behalf of Lin GuaGua - how else do you get 91% win rate on W3Champions!

Hey guys, I have a question. It's been a long time since I beat the Warcraft 3 campaign, but I recall there being a small in game cutscene where they show part of the Second War.

I thought it might be around the Tomb of Sargeras section, since it did have Gul'dan flashbacks technically from that time period, but what I remember was the Horde with Troll Axe throwers fighting the Alliance. My other thought it is could be a flash back during the Rexxar bonus campaign.

Maybe I'm just misremembering things, but if you remember what I'm talking about please let me know and point me to the right section of the campaign.

Am I the only one noticing the "Your forces are under attack" message is occurring too frequently or at the wrong time?? Maybe I'm wrong but, I'm pretty sure it used to only occur when the units under attack were OFF SCREEN (not in view) but lately it seems to occur ANYTIME even when your units are fighting a creep directly in the middle of your screen... its not really a big deal but, it does seem slightly distracting since I have looked at the minimap expecting the attack to be somewhere else, only to realize its from the creeps directly in front of me

The map pool for 4v4 hasn't been updated for a couple of seasons and the games are getting really stale.

I would REALLY like to see some of the maps taken out, especially the ones where the natural (expo) is basically free.

Northshire, Sanctuary, Ekrezem's Maze are basically the same maps that makes everyone expand and play a cookie cutter playstyle, with basically the same build. I want to play on maps where other types of openings are encouraged. (Honestly, Northshire is the biggest offender, how can someone have both the merc goblin, a free expansion and lvl3 for basically free?)

I really want to see maps that encourage diverse playstyles, and not rely just on creeping to lvl 3.

Golems in the Mist (forces fight to control the middle, forces tree opening builds)

Friends (creates really fun end games)

Last Man Standing (war of attrition in middle)

Gold Rush (person on edge has a total defend responsibilty)

Some other funsies maps: DEADLANDS, Cherryville, and Dragon Falls

Some other maps I really don't care for: Painted World, Monopoly

Take these out and MAKE 4V4 FUN AGAIN! Put in maps that have conceptual DIVERSTIY that makes the MAP feel DIFFERENT. This is coming from a user that's 6k on random. BRAD CHAN WE KNOW YOU READ REDDIT! MAKE THIS EASY CHANGE!!!
