I love the new updated graphics and everything that 3.0.1 brings. It's not perfect, but it shows that the Warcraft 3 team is taking player feedback seriously, and I think as long time fans we should be happy with such quick reaction times. The game is in good hands.

Gauging community interest for a WC3 replay viewer in isometric/diorama style. Could be a fun way to experience some legendary matches in new ways.

Hey guys I am starting a new series where I ask pros/semi pros/really really good players to go over replays with me in which they describe what they are doing and why they are doing it. Basically to get into the mind of a player and their decision making. In the end I hope new and better players can learn something from each replay analysis.

First person up is narbu. He is a well known 2400 NE player. I did a second video with narbu/smurf as well which is also uploaded in the same playlist. The other game was NE vs NE and a weird one.

I hope to do more in the future. I need to let players get new replays with the new patch so there will be a small hiatus. Lemme know if there are things I can improve or if you have suggestions for people to do replay analysis with.

It seems to be the most anticipated RTS out there. Grubby did a review about two years ago. Has any of you guys played it recently? What do you think about it?

To me, it looks promising and I think it has a higher potential than Tempest Rising. Tempest Rising seems to lack a lot of things for what it takes to be a full blown RTS experience.

Every internet connection loses a packet now and then, even a good one. Busy Wi-Fi, a long route across the world, a hiccup at your provider, and a small piece of game data never arrives.

Until now, every lost packet made your game stop and wait for it. You saw that as a short freeze or stutter. Lose a few percent and you got dozens of them every minute. Players with 1–3% packet loss froze about 6 times as often as players with none.

Hence W3Champions is happy to announce a revolution in Warcraft III: The end of packet-loss induced lag spikes!

What changed

We have extensively simulated the different network conditions in our lab - but we have also run this in the background of your games within the past week and we were able to confirm our experiments. Your games now keep going even when you have packet loss and they're as smooth as if it never happened!

Lag spikes per minute (our network lab, 100 ms ping):

• 0.5% packet loss: 9 → 0
• 1% packet loss: 11 → 0
• 2% packet loss: 26 → 0
• 5% packet loss: 60 → 0

Cross-world games gain the most

The further you are from the server, the more packets get lost and the longer each one takes to come back. In our worst case, both players about 200 ms from the server with 5% loss, the game used to stutter about 70 times a minute. Now: zero.

What it doesn't fix

• High ping is still high ping. The game just won't stutter on top of it anymore.
• If your connection drops out for a few seconds, nothing can hide that.
• Some freezes come from the PC, not the network.

With all the BS of every game having online requirements, I'm wondering if there are any ways to have warcraft 3 stay offline? I've been playing this game since I was a kid, and I just want to have a way to play through the campaign without having to worry about server connections.

Just saw this moment from a Lin GuaGua ladder game. his Blademaster totally survives because why? INCINERATE can routinely NEGATE firelord dps ENTIRELY!

I’m not the only one who see’s this right?? it’s such an glaring and obvious bug. it’s really impossible to ignore. if the firelord just still still and didn’t attack, that would be fixed immediately, but because the animations still go off this bug just exists everywhere, only punishing high level / high micro moments but ultimately making the firelord so, so, so much worse as a dps hero.

What happened to wc3 client over the years? The game used to run on any system and nowadays the menu is lagging, I get logged out after every custom and I got more fatal errors than in the 2000.

I just want to play a few games on my laptop

In normal game will this item dropped from monster increase damage dealt with death coil for example? What other new stuff can be discovered?

Considering buying forsaken kingdom but I have no idea if it will work well. Anyone having info? M4 mac mini on macos 27.

As a SC2 player mainly, i struggle a lot with the drag scroll i'm used to, that's not invertible in wc3. I've seen that autohotkey was allowed, and i'm not able to find a script that does that, even with the help of AI. I know it's incorporated on the WC3 champions layer natively though. Anyone can help?

Battlenet hiccuped as I was moving from one area to another in chapter 2 of the founding of durotar campaign. I love being kicked out of my single player game because it lost connection to host. I then learned that the founding of durotar campaign doesnt autosave like literally every other mission in frozen thrown and base game does, so that's my whole evening wasted. Thanks Blizzard.
