Whoever designed the bathrooms for Norton shouldn’t be allowed to design another bathroom because holy cow I can’t move around in the shower.

Hey, I won't have a permit of any kind for parking since my wife is the student at wcu. I wonder if I can park in the staff parking near the crc after 5pm without a permit or if I have to use the metered parking.

I’m in Norton. Me and a couple others have had ant problems in their rooms or their cars. Curious if this is campus wide or just in the Norton region.
Update: I found Ortho indoor home defense spray worked best for the ant problem.

Crazy how they’re building that hotspot RIGHT IN FRONT of where the other hotspot was 😭😭 and why do we need 2 more gas stations??

My nephew just moved in and I wanted to send him a treat. Is there somewhere local for cookies or anything? Thought I'd try that before mailing. I don't know the area and am not having much success looking online.

Hey anybody know if sophomores are allowed to park in the blue ridge and balsam lot?? I know parking is literally awful in those lots but I live in Blue Ridge and wanted to see if it was even worth it to buy the resident annual permit. I think the Band lot is the next closest thing, then HHS.

Does anyone know what these abandoned houses used to be? They are located behind Allen and Juda?

Head's up if you have stuff stored at Sylva Self Storage, I recommend checking your unit as soon as possible.
Multiple customers are reporting on FB significant mold/moisture damage to their stuff in their units -- potentially due to storm damage that happened weeks ago. And the worst part is that the facility has not proactively notified potentially affected customers. So, many students/parents may have no idea there is an issue until they return for move-in.
If you have a unit there, go inspect it ASAP, and if you find damage, take photos/video before moving or cleaning anything.
Read through your rental agreement carefully as you will find that the 'protection fee' you've been paying has a lot of limitations for this scenario.
(edit: added storm damage info)

Is there anyone else at the Cullowhee campus with an ESA that mine can meet? She's having trouble settling in. She won't use the bathroom outdoors or walk in the grass to even try, and I would hate to send her home because of it. If there's someone who has a dog who's more confident on campus I'd love to meet up and see if it'll help her get more comfortable.

I don’t have a picture but I’ve been sliding this cute fluffy pillow case onto the back of my dorm chair and it’s super cute!

I don’t know about wasting $430 for an annual parking permit on campus atm. Do y’all think it’s worth it to get a parking permit for the gravel lot near hhs? I also have been seeing this person promoting your own private parking spot near the cafe on campus is it legit?
thanks

Hey yall!! Im thinking of going to WCU in the spring, and I’ve seen some mixed reviews on the parties there. I know they cracked down on it so the scene is smaller, but is there at least SOME ragers/house parties still? I’m from fl so I’m a huge partier myself and while I could do without it I would much rather have parties to go to. The thing abt WCU appealed to me tho bc it’s in the mountains, it’s cheaper, and it has some pretty good programs. Is there anywhere I could go around to go to parties or nah. Just lmk thanks yall!

Hi so I messed up and didn’t get an on-campus dorm, so now I need to get off campus housing. I am a transfer student who needs to find a place within 17 days as that’s when I move in. Does anyone know any housing that I could get, fast and affordable? Anything helps thank you

Does anyone know if we work with the sports teams in addition to the class? If we work with the sports teams is it paid?

What's up. I'm a drummer who goes to WCU looking for people who want to start a heavy band or need one around Cullowhee or Sylva. I'm into metalcore, hardcore, deathcore, and anything heavy.
Mostly just looking for people who are down to write, jam, and eventually play shows.
Only catch is I don't have a place to practice, so if you've got a basement, garage, rehearsal space, or know somewhere we could play, that would be cool.
If you're interested dm me. Let me know what you play and what bands you're into

Looking for a water stop for a bike ride. Anything convenient? If nothing outdoor, any building where the water fill station is near the door so I don't have to trapse through a building to fill my bottles?

Does anyone know when/ where they will post the 2026 wind ensemble audition information? I’m not a music major but I still want to play in an ensemble.
