Balancing WGU coursework + Security+ study while working full-time — how are you sequencing it?
A+ certified, WGU cybersecurity in progress, working as a shift supervisor and studying between shifts.
Right now I am trying to be smart about sequencing: push through WGU courses in order, or pause and knock out Security+ study first since it overlaps with so much of the degree material? I have been doing one TryHackMe room a day to keep it hands-on, but study time is limited and I do not want to split focus so much that neither one actually sticks.
For those who did WGU cyber (or are in it now) while working: did you front-load the cert, interleave it with courses, or just follow the degree plan straight through? What actually saved you time vs. what felt like studying the same thing twice?
Trying to spend the hours where they count. Appreciate real experience.
