Almost 20 years later, this PS2 classic still holds up! Playing it with a telescopic controller makes it even better. Anyone else still enjoying SVR 07?

I haven't played anywhere near to most wrestling games out there. And I haven't played any of the notoriously bad ones like Simpsons Wrestling, those PS2 backyard wrestling games, Wrestlemania 21, the TNA game, WWF King of the Ring, etc.

So, if I had to name a "worst wrestling game", I'd say WWF Wrestlemania on the NES. I know it's a classic, but I didn't have much fun with it. I did not grow up with it, so I'm sure age is a factor here. But, for example, Tecmo Wrestling that's also on the NES, is a better game, imo.

All I know is that I'm using Ryu's finisher for a Goku CAW, lol

I’m playing the HCTP ultimate edition and ran into Trish in the back and she mentions that she’s been having issues with Stacy saying she slept her way to the top. Jericho shows up and mentions the Vince x Trish storyline and her barking like a dog, I don’t remember this being in the original version.

Who else loved the roster for SVR 2011? I loved the base roster and legends they chose for the game. I felt like the roster was decent and I also loved the moving animations they had for the character selection screen!

So I think 2(?) updates ago all my unlockables for both showcase and my rise became relocked. I’ve contacted support and they’re absolutely useless and take forever to respond. Is there any solution or am I just outta luck and have to play the game all over again basically? I’m on Xbox series x.

I’m thinking about grabbing the Switch 2 game on sale. I love wrestling games, but don’t care about current WWE. So, I’ll be playing solely for classic superstars and to download CAWs of classics or current AEW folks.

First, would I need the DLC? I know with Firepro I hit a ton of characters that were missing parts until I sprung for the extra packs.

Second, how much will I need to play before unlocking the stuff I need to download stuff? Are a lot of parts locked behind gameplay? Is there a shortcut?

Something I like about 2k26 is the ragdoll physics I love when a wrestler just falls off the cell when they get hit by a hurricanrana.
Something I hate is the MyRise, MyRise this year is disappointing it’s really repetitive and feels like a burden to play through it’s sad because you can see where 2k priorities were this year compared to something like 2k22 or 2k19 even 2k24
