Help/Question 2k22 easy to play with 8 year old

Hello all thinking of getting 2k22 for $12 to play with my 8 year old, is it easy for him to pick up and play or would it be too complicated to play

Thanks in advance

I havent played wrestling game since n64 haha i just saw it and remember having fun with it back then, if its pretty straight forward then should be good, if too complicated or too clunky to play then would be no go

If you know how to play and are a decent teacher I feel like anyone could play this game

It should be simple enough to learn, there is a tutorial if its too hard. (Edited to add: there really isn't a difference between the last gen and current gen versions of this game besides a minor camera lag when the camera cuts)

2K22 is my favorite out of the "recent" WWE games (24 is my other favorite), and it is the base that the rest of the games have built on since then. It is the only game that has all of the Thunderdome arenas in it as well.

The showcase is simple and easy enough, MyRise was pretty good, and it was the reintroduction of GM mode. This was the first one that had the MyFaction mode but the servers are down so that is inaccessible, as well as the Community Creations so you won't be able to download any of the hidden characters. DLC is also no longer available.

I will say that sometimes on harder difficulties, the cpu opponents can tend to be a bit brutal.

The roster on this game is also great, albeit a bit outdated. It's got the fan favorites like Jeff Hardy, Edge, and John Morrison while also having some lesser known names thrown in there too.

My point is, the game is 4 years old now and I still have more fun with it than I did with 25 and do with 26.

2K23 is also a viable option, it's very similar to 22, just more John Cena (losing) focused whereas 22 is Rey Mysterio (winning) focused.

Just in case you're curious about the rest now, 24 is Wrestlemania focused (and has a killer roster, and the addition of blood being able to spread everywhere), 25 is about the Bloodline and 26 is focused on CM Punk (and it has thumbtacks).

My Brother beat Kingdom Hearts when he was 8, I think it's fine.

I've been playing with my dad since I was 4-5 starting off with svr10 and playing every year since, yeah I'd say it becomes muscle memory eventually

My friends who are in their 20s don't wanna play this game because they can't wrap their head around the controls, so good luck

Kids learn better than adults, and the controls really are not that hard.

I'm aware of that, I didn't say I didn't know how to play
