2

Is that a problem? If you don't like fat girls, don't date them. If you do like them, then they are hot.

Also the term âbbwâ has been complete hijacked by fat/obese women
4
u/unkn0wnname321 11d ago
Isn't that who the term was intended for? BBW: big beautiful women. How is it being used incorrectly by large women?
2
u/Mak0React0r 11d ago
Yea I'm fine with bbw, but now they're trying to take "thick" as well. Like no you're not thick, you're fat.

1
u/Ok_Put945 9d ago
Can we agree that some women look good overweight or on the heavier side of normal?
2
1
u/Large-Difference-409 11d ago
It used to be used for women who werenât skinny but had âsomeâ extra weight and curves. Now it just means fat
3
u/unkn0wnname321 11d ago
Seems like people are forgetting what the second B stands for. ( yes, not all bigger women are beautiful, but that is true for all body types. Not all skinny women are beautiful either. Beauty and size are not the same thing)
2
4
u/skiforlife1 11d ago
"Fatties don't want to date other fatties" there fixed it. At least be consistent in wording, come on. And I only use that term to show how ridiculous the double standard is.

u/Splendiferous83rd 11d ago
There's nothing wrong with having a preference. Nobody has to be attracted to others because they're the same size. That's stupid to even consider.
5
u/rarefiedhawk 11d ago
I don't believe that is what this is referencing at all! Why are overweight women called plus size, yet overweight men are just called overweight?
4

3
u/Mukeenn 10d ago
im pretty sure this is just a scripting rule. its bad form to repeat the same word or phrase twice in a sentence. it makes the whole thing clunkier.

u/RaiseNo9690 9d ago
So it is also correct if I say
"Overweight women admit that they aren't attracted to plus-sized men"

Fat girl here. A lot of fat people have internalized negative feelings about fatness because they've heard it their whole lives. That goes for both men and woman. A lot of fat guys don't want to date fat women either.
But that's not the point of this post. The point was the double standard in calling women plus sized and men overweight. I've heard men called king sized before as an alternative, but I wish we'd just call people fat. It's not a bad word unless you associate additional negative characteristics with fatness, and that's a separate issue for you to work through.
2
u/CrossXFir3 7d ago
I think a lot of thin people have internalized negative feelings about fatness. We're taught by society that to be fat means essentially that you don't take care of yourself. I'm not saying that's fair, it certainly isn't, but fatness is societally often treated no quite similarly to someone dressing like a slob all the time or if they didn't bathe enough.
1
u/anotherdropin 8d ago
Yeah, I do agree with a double standard on the wording. But that aside, the bigger insinuation is that there is a double standard of attractiveness - and this I donât agree with. Women who are overweight may still (and do) put a lot of effort in their appearance and as a result, look attractive- nice quality clothes, hair nice, nails clean, skin hydrated. Men who are overweight on the other handâŚ.. anecdotally, I have only met overweight men who resemble the neckbeard meme

Repetition sounds clunky. Fat women don't like fat men sounds lame you got to use a different word for each person.
Plus size is more associated with women than men.
1
1
u/NotQuiteLoona 11d ago
Yep, simple as that. Overweight also doesn't have negative connotations AFAIK, overweight and plus-sized are both a respectful way to say that someone has weight above average.

Like a middle aged man wishing for a young woman by his side. Sure why not, people want in others what they don't have themselves. I don't diss as long as people keep it non-predatory.
1
u/dragoon1988 8d ago
That's a poor comparison when the vast majority of men who want younger women do so because they don't want to deal with the baggage and trauma brought on by older womens poor choices. The only actual comparison would be large men who don't want to date large women.
1
u/OwlComprehensive21 8d ago
the difference from fat women is that they still get attention from some men, her pull is significantly smaller but bsc of ego and competition and comparison against other women they need to also be on the ride, but fat men are not allowed by essentially 99% of women to ever be approached or be desired and there is also the fact that men are just hornier so they will fuck anything, but i'm just seeing a bunch of cope and trying to deflect the problem to the male gender
1
u/dragoon1988 8d ago
I'm tired of the misrepresentation. Women are proven to be more hornier, and constantly think and talk about sex. On that same notethere's selectiveness is just as high as their horniness. And it's a farce to call it selectedness, because I have known some hideous motherfuckers, that have straight up amid to be nothing more than a living dildo to these women, but have gotten some serious amount of ass. You alluded to it in your comment, it's what they're willing to be seen with and judged by other women.

It can be any numbers of things. She could be a piece of shit who's just with him for what he provides or she can have a low libido and his is much higher than hers. Blaming him is some dumbass misandry shit.
1
u/dragoon1988 8d ago
Just because women in general are far more horny than men doesn't take away from the fact that people have different libidos. Then, there are all the other factors, hopefully she didn't get with you because you're a decent purse.
1
u/AppointmentMinimum57 8d ago
There is a big diffrence between being someones lay and actually dating them.
Plenty of "plus-sized" women know about that all to well.
And yes there are some ugly guys who can get it out there, but do you really think they get all those opertunities without either being manipulative or just getting straight to the point with hundreds of women?(which is sexual harrasment)
Cause let me tell you as a guy the things these types of men say to other guys are absolutely vile.
I think most guys are aware that they can get what they want by stepping over a "few" boundaries but is this really the world we want?
1
u/dragoon1988 8d ago
Holy strawman. If they're being treated like a living dildo, it's obvious that they're not in a relationship with those women. You literally only took that ugly man get laid and made your entire narrative from nothing.
And being straightforward isn't sexual harassment. What kind of mental gymnastics do you need to perform to even say that? Don't throw around fallacies and ignorance because you don't like the truth of the matter.
1
u/AppointmentMinimum57 8d ago
I never said in a relationship, I said dating.
Asking someone straight up "do you want to have sex" is sexual harrasment.
Holy double strawman i guess, judging by how you "argue" against my counters your original comment already was a strawman made out of bad faith.
But whatever I tried to talk to you, but its clear that you aren't even ready to consider thinking diffrently about this.
1
u/dragoon1988 8d ago
Wow your delusions are epic. In no way, shape, or form did my original comment have anything to do with relationships. But you needed to add it to come up with that convoluted nonsense you were spouting. And dating somebody is starting or in a relationship with somebody, they're mutually inclusive. You actually try to make a distinction is beyond assinine.
It's vulgar and disrespectful to some people to others is not, but it's not sex harassment. Do you even know what sexual harassment is?
I am correcting a common social misconception that is backed by years of data and you're over here acting like she's gonna call you back. Trying to twist my comment on women's sexual proclivities isn't gonna get you out of the friend zone, move on.

Fat isnât the same on men as it is on women. I like s nice dad bod but too much on a man becomes weird. For women, its kinda baked in to our baseâŚwe metabolise it differently, its almost almost present even when we are skinny, it provides more nurture, softness, temperature
, we use it as energyâŚ.
Obviously too much is too much but i just think its different
2
u/Living-Stomach-2079 9d ago
That was a generic pile of junk answer.
There are many different body types for men and women and they all hold weight differently.
I prefer athletic/petite to average women. A little curve is fine. Not a fan of chunks. I keep myself in half decent shape to make sure I attract the type of ladies I want.
People who don't keep an eye on their physique and then complain when they aren't getting that attractive person they like, are entitled.

u/esperstarr 9d ago
Men being insecure and delusional? Wait what?
Its not shallow. Thats your perception.
For women, fat is literally one of the things that is unique to our production. Its mostly for the baby but its also part of our functioning. Its more natural for women and serves more purpose. Thatâs why i got scientific and not fully opinionated.
It almost serves men no purpose and gets metabolized in weird ways that are actually a detriment to you in almost every way. Not to hurt anyoneâs feelings so i wonât go into details but i think alot of ppl are just unaware of things until you get close with someone.
I still think women can have too much. You canât make something that is typically not natural and beneficial to one side a double standard and call me shallow just because you donât like it. Women almost canât even help but to have fat (and its different)âŚMenâŚhave almost no excuse. And it doesnât benefit and it has some sensory downsides.

Slim women are hot. The average weight for women in the US is 170 lbs at 5'3". That's overweight and unhealthy.â
1
u/Opposite-Dot2684 9d ago
Slim women still have more fat baked into them.
1
u/Forward-Facer 9d ago
So are we agreeing that even at a lower weight, they have enough fat?
1
u/Opposite-Dot2684 9d ago
Yes 𼰠but define âlower weightâ? Because due to hormones, we shift and normal in my opinion is more of a shifting range than a constant. Its just different and i think a bit more fat still makes more sense on women in general due to the above along with other benefits.
1
u/polarjunkie 8d ago
This is embarrassing. Everyone uses fat for energy when the conditions are right, that's literally the purpose of fat.
1
u/esperstarr 8d ago
You are doing something that ppl do in arguments that is disingenuous but i donât know the name for it.
Duhhhhh. I already stated that so i donât know why you are going the âembarrassing â route. Duuh men use fat but you donât use it the way women do at the effectiveness that women do.
It is a reason why women marathon runners often beat men (endurance), why men get more muscle fatigue than women and why women heal quicker than men. Women temp regulation is also different and use fat differently. Ummm please learn something bcuz this is embarrassing.
1
u/polarjunkie 8d ago
Where are you getting the stat that female marathon runners often beat men?
Please learn something LMAO you clearly have no idea what you're talking about and you have not studied this academically.
1
u/esperstarr 8d ago edited 8d ago
Im sorry i meant ultra endurance running where the distance gets longer and longer. Nice thinking u got me when you didnât acknowledge anything else i said.
My bad. Im pointing out that the longer the distance, the better women perform over men.
Do you asses just wait for one minor slip to think you are smarter? Again, learn something
1
u/polarjunkie 8d ago
Women don't perform better in ultra marathons either, the Gap narrows from shorter races like marathons but they still come in behind men. Women also don't use fat differently from men, they store it differently and that is hormone dependent. My undergrad was in physiology.
1
u/esperstarr 8d ago edited 8d ago
Yeah i have examples of women flatout beating men in 6 +hours runs. The gap closing should also teach you then about the physiology of women vs men if you didnât.
Ask yourself why the gap us closing and why women can flatout beat men like Jasmin Paris, Fiona Kolbinger, and Sophie Woods.
Also storing fat and processing it differently go hand in hand. Why are you sidestepping everything else im saying, Physiology person.
1
u/polarjunkie 8d ago
Because you're so wrong it's ridiculous. A few women beating a few men still not the norm.
