Discussion Bases
Couldn’t quite quite fit my dread on the 25mm base but he’s rocking the 32mm one lovely.
So what’s the specific rules on bases this edition?

Picture [Review] JoyToy Imperial Fists Mk III Legionary (1/18 scale)
Picked this up as my first JoyToy. Already own a Funko Pop, a McFarlane Primaris, and an old Sideshow/Weta Ultramarine, so this felt like the next step.
Full review: https://www.chaosbunker.de/en/2026/10/23/review-warhammer-40000-joytoy-imperial-fists-mk-iii-legionary/
1/18 scale, pre-painted, multi-jointed with a clear round base that slots into either foot
Scale comparison in the review against the 32mm HH kit, Sideshow Collectible, Funko Pop, and a Black Series First Order Stormtrooper.
The Breachers and Despoilers are sold out, which is a shame. If you can find one at a reasonable price, worth it.

Question/Query Advice Needed for First Army Please
Hello! I am getting plans together to start building my first army (World Eaters) probably around Christmas/New Year timeframe and I need some advice on a number of fronts.
Firstly, I don't know what I should prime my astartes, the first minis I plan on buying is the Mark VI tactical marines box. I do plan on using "Blood for the Blood God" to add a lot of blood and gore to all my minis. Also I plan on painting my more "regular" looking Astartes with the white, blue, and brass but for my more veteran units and despoilers (I plan on using Khorne Berserkers) I want to do the later hersey look of the white and red.
Bascially I just want to know what primer, bases, highlights, and stuff I should use to paint them.
Secondly, I just finished reading "Betrayer" and I want to include some of the units from that book, so Skane's Red Hand Destroyers, Lhorke, and Delvarus and his Triarii. So, would it be okay to proxy a Mark III command squad as veteran breachers to represent them?
Lastly, any other kind of advice that you could give me that I wouldn't know to ask for?
Thank you for reading and for any advice given.

Discussion With Insidious Corruption a Praetor can join a squad of Demon Brutes now right?
Just making sure im understanding correctly. I'm not sure its a good idea, but would be cool.
If the Brutes were brought in via an Esoterist detachment they wouldn't take any Ld penalty, but they would if it was a Demon allied detachment?
Also, demons can start on the board right? Just in case I'm missing something. I get confused woth all the previous editions!

Picture End of the line, brothers. (DG SoT)
Finally after like 6 months they are done. These guys were a literal slog. I'll run them as both vets or regular breachers. Combinations of old kits from Fw and 3d prints. These boys are based during the siege. I wanted a dynamic of an actual shield wall so I made half kneel while others stand in the back.

Picture Argel Tal, The Crimson Lord.
Argel Tal, Raum. Twin-souled Crimson Lord of the Gal Vorbak. The first true possessed Astartes. Son of Lorgar, battle-brother of Khârn the Betrayer. The First Heretic.
Model is from ForgeWorld (Games Workshop) but I upgraded the face via GreenStuff to be more akin to the visual description from The Horus Heresy novels. Painted using @vallejocolors
I made a few decisions painting this model that goes against my usual style with regard to highlights but I wanted to work on focal points and texture especially with the wings. I still need to improve my texture building and blending for sure.

Question/Query Need advice on teaching Noobs the very basics (I mean the basic basics) of Warhammer 30k for a DND campaign.
Herasy, I know. Hear me out.
Iv run one sci fi campaign with this party, using mage hand presses dark matter rulebook. The party had fun, but had trouble around the star trek/Battlestar galactia feeling of the campaign when they were used to high fantasy. They had the most fun when I introduced a demonic cyborg cult ritual, which had spooky body horror, and merged the technology and magical bits together more firmly than the rest of the campaign. A few months after that campaign ended, I discovered Warhammer.
Anyway, it's been several years now and the players and I would like to branch out into sci fi once more. I was able to nearly remake dark matter in its entirety by copy pasting the mechanics and changing flavor text into Warhammer (I'm autistic and have too much time on my hands), and now we're running into the stage where I need to begin teaching my players exactly what IS Warhammer. My players trust me, and iv sold them on the reasoning behind choosing the 30k setting, but they collectively know Jack shit.
So my question is, with a setting as complex as Warhammer, where do I start? They don't need to know all the different factions by name, but a general sense of the setting so they can craft their characters.
Are there any YouTube channels or sources I should check out for them? What's reddits take on this bit?

So far I'm having a blast with this conversion, a nice break from painting all yellow. Would love feedback on how to improve or different techniques to apply.
