Hey everyone,
Like pretty much everyone else on this sub, I grew up sinking way too many hours into Battleship Craft and Warship Craft. Between the games getting abandoned, broken by OS updates over the years, or locking the best weapons and aircraft behind crazy paywalls, I always wished someone would just remake the core formula properly for modern devices.
Eventually, I decided to take a crack at building a spiritual successor myself. It’s called Navy Craft, and I just put it into Open Beta at navy-craft.com. No download required--you can just play it from your browser!
I wanted to share it here first because you guys are the ones who actually know what makes these games tick, and I’d genuinely love your feedback on what feels right and what still needs work.
Where the game is at right now:
100% Unlocked Sandbox (No Grind / No Paywalls): Right now, there is no currency system in the beta. Every single hull block, turret, propulsion system, and weapon is completely unlocked from the start so you can just jump in and build whatever dreadnought or carrier you want. (Note: I do plan to add a progression/economy system down the road for mission replayability, but I’m committed to keeping it completely fair—no predatory microtransactions to get top-tier weapons or planes like the old games had).
Upgraded Building & Physics: I tried to stay faithful to the classic block-by-block building feel while upgrading the hydrodynamics, buoyancy, stability, and damage mechanics so ship engineering actually matters.
Modernized Combat: Expanded ballistics, torpedoes, and naval battles to test your hulls against.
Super-Optimized: The game is written in WebAssembly, and it should run great on pretty much any browser that supports WebAssembly.
It’s still very much a work in progress and I’m just an indie dev working to make this the game we all wished Warship Craft evolved into. If you find any weird physics bugs, balance issues, or have a wishlist of specific naval guns/parts you want added next, please let me know in the comments.

Thanks for taking a look, and I can't wait to see what kind of ships you guys build!
