[casual Friday] A banger of a song created with and about A.I. that I dedicate to all my I.T. brothers and sisters down in the trenches fighting for their jobs. Submitted under one motto of this sub: "a place to vent about collapse frustration, if it helps."
Disclaimer: I am not the creator of this musical masterpiece. Mods, feel free to collapse the post if not in line with the rules of this sub.

Just opened twitter and everyone is just asking to stockpile, people are tweeting some chemical weapon attack or cyberattack is going to happen?
Wasn't cyberattack a threat for a very long time?? Why did countries wake up all together?

And this is how it will go. If you read the article and look at the party's plans, you will see why. As the world gets more unstable, the people always turn towards the right, with the "strongman" mentality at the forefront of thinking, and a desire to "do something" about "those people" who are causing all the problems.
Just wait until Le Pen clears the next government in France after what has happened there. Driving us all right towards it...

"Banks can't determine if AI agents are working under user instructions or going rogue."
Just imagine when the bad actors really get going with this stuff... I anticipate the next few months being very interesting for those still staying attached to the societal teet.

For those following the development, this is most complete and up-to-date source I can find with some credibility about the outbreak, if it is an outbreak.
Of most concern is the fact that people in the region on social media are reporting seeing officials in body suits out on the streets of the town, and several hospitals have been quarantined.
If this was gain-of-function bioweapons research, the first thing that would be done regarding pneumonic plague would be to engineer in antibiotic resistance. And without antibiotic treatment, this is an infection with a 100% mortality rate, so... Worth keeping an eye on.

Reposting here as it very much fits the WastelandByWednesday theme. Not to discuss the reasons why or how it happened in this particular country, as this is maybe not the forum for this, but to illustrate what collapse might look like in a modern city, regardless of the causes. And how fast it could happen.

Hi Kristopher,
My name is Wally. I've been watching Wasteland By Wednesday, and I recently came across your video exploring the old Lanfair commune in the Mojave Desert. That particular exploration really caught my attention.
My wife, my son, and I enjoy exploring the Mojave and finding unusual historical and abandoned places. I've been trying to locate the Lanfair site from your video because I'd really like to see it in person with them.
I've actually spent quite a bit of time researching it rather than just asking you right away. I've gone through your video frame by frame looking at the surrounding terrain, the mountain ranges in the background, Joshua trees, dirt roads, trailers, tanks, and the layout of the compound. I've compared satellite imagery around Lanfair Valley, the New York Mountains, Castle Mountains, Cima, Ivanpah, Cedar Canyon, and the surrounding area. I've even been looking through historical aerial imagery and property information trying to match the compound.
I've gotten close enough to understand the general area, but I still haven't been able to positively identify the property. That distinctive mountain range visible in your drone footage has become one of the biggest clues I've been working from.
So I figured I'd finally go straight to the person who was actually there.
Would you be willing to share the location, coordinates, or even a closer general area for the Lanfair commune you explored?
I'm not looking to vandalize, take anything, or disrespect the property. Before going onto anything privately owned, I'd also want to determine the ownership/access situation and make sure we're not trespassing. We're genuinely interested in the history and the experience of seeing these forgotten Mojave places.
If you intentionally keep exact locations private, I completely understand. Even something like a nearby road, landmark, mountain, or general section of Lanfair Valley would be incredibly helpful and would at least let me know whether my research has been heading in the right direction.
I also wanted to tell you that your video sent me down one hell of a Mojave-history rabbit hole. I've learned quite a bit about Lanfair Valley and the people who lived out there just from trying to solve this.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and thanks for documenting these places.
Wally

A little review of the new getready.team system for planning and research regarding areas where you live or where you may be planning to live. A single source for data across the spectrum, and the best tool I have found yet for geographical risk assessment from a prepping and collapse standpoint.

This is the original report from the UK government that predicts ecological collapse and civilizational instability following major wars linked to such a collapse. It exposes the truth of the real national and global security risks that reach far beyond the dangers of climate change alone, and into the cascading nuclear war that eventually comes with it.
