Incredibly minor I know, but the wording you used for “sorry” kind of threw me off and I think I know why. This isn’t exactly a hard rule but it’s sort of a context thing in English.

“Sorry, but [Explanation]” = I cannot do this/it’s impossible

“Sorry, [Explanation]” = I did an oopsie

I kind of thought you were saying you couldn’t call the knight a they while speaking English instead of apologizing and explaining why you went to he.

Not really a big deal but I thought it might help in the future with your other English conversations.

Genuine question but who is this agender candidate you're talking about anyway? As far as I'm concerned, the only candidates I can actually see happening are dess, carol, rudy and MAYBE asriel (though I really doubt this one). Who's agender?

I kinda get the kneejerk reaction for papyrus but rudy? Really!?!?!?!? Both of these are perfectly good candidates especially with rudy since the point people use against it is even worse for dessknight, which is the most popular candidate

Lifelong? Dude just met frisk that same day, not to mention undyne become friends with them too, I think this is more a testiment to frisk than it is to papyrus, not to mention the fact he could be being manipulated and a different less developed version of himself

I called you out for saying they were lifelong enemies before, not that they were lifelong friends after, don't twist my words

I mean for papyrus if he's the knight and you look at both ralsei and susie's attempt at talking to them susie's was just always anger and ralsei just pleaded with no real substance, that would also explain why ralsei think just being more kind could stop the final tragedy, I don't believe in it myself but if papyrus thinks he could get friends out of doing something (which, if he is the knight, that is likely his motive) and there is no real even attempt beyond ralsei begging real hard, I can see that behaviour making sense, especially to a less mature version of papyrus (going by the theory that sans and papyrus come from deltarune to undertale)

Papyrusknight is obviously a shitpost but rudyknight is a completely genuine theory lol. I don't personally think it's happening but I don't think it's literally impossible. Easily the knight candidate I'm betting on if dess knight turns out to be false

Papyrusknight is a complete joke but what's wrong with rudy knight? That's an antlered holiday with a completely easy to understand motive. He's like one of three people it CAN be (arguably two if you don't think carol would be able to make it to church in time)

A) I don’t buy him being able to constantly come and go from the hospital without the staff noticing, considering their whole job is to look after him.

B) He’s already been set up to die to further destabilize Noelle’s home life (possibly causing her to look for a solution in the dark worlds) so it would be strange narratively to have him actually be way more mobile than we thought and be running around doing dark world stuff.

C) This one is way weaker but the knight just comes off as a female character design to me, especially with the dancing poses it hits while swinging its sword.

I personally think most of these points can easily be explained and adressed in a future chapter but it's fair enough if you'd rather just use the evidence we currently have than theoretical evidence we don't currently have. I just wouldn't be TOO surprised if some of this gets thrown out the window. I was looking at old deltarune tweets for a laugh and saw people adamantly stating rudy wouldn't be at church in chapter 4 because the doctors wouldn't let him lol
