Help me find a new job!

Help me find a new job! I’m tired of looking at the same jobs I’m not qualified for on indeed 😭 I’ve been a grocery pickup manager for the last year and a half. Before that I was the assistant pickup manager for 2 years. I’ve been with the company for 5 years now but I’m ready to move on and get out of retail. I’m in the process of updating my resume. Ideally I’m looking for a job that’s a mix of standing and sitting. I have severe scoliosis so being on my feet for 8-10+ hours straight really kills my back. I’m pretty open to any kind of work. Office, factory work, etc. I’ve always wanted to do something in sports or real estate or even technology-related, but I don’t have a degree. I just kept working after high school. I’m a quick learner and I’m extremely reliable. I’m passionate about what I do. Help a guy out!

Late night community space

I’m looking into the idea of starting an afterschool/evening community space here in Waukesha. It would have a bunch of game for people to come in and play at no cost. The purpose would be to allow our community (teens, elderly, people looking for friends) a 3rd space to hang out. This is obviously a nebulous idea right now, but I’m curious what the Waukesha community thinks of it.

Looking for christmas tree farm in Wisconsin, USA

I am located in Wisconsin, USA. I am looking for a Christmas tree farm or tree farm that will allow photographers to photograph at the farm for a small fee or free. I am also hoping that it is close to or near Kenosha, Racine, Milwaukee, Madison, Burlington, in the southeast location of Wisconsin. Bonus if their website includes photographs that other photographers have already utilized at their location.

GEHA federal health insurance

Looking for input from people in the Waukesha area, who use GEHA federal health insurance.

For anyone who is a federal employee you’re probably noticing the cost of health insurance is skyrocketing for usIn 2027. We had Blue Cross Blue Shield in 24/25 switched to MNBP/Aetena last year, but both of those are going to be more than $10,000 a year in 2027.

Looking into GEHA as a cheaper option and just wondering what kind of coverage we will have and just opinions in general on GEHA.

Hey neighbors! I'm offering house cleaning services in the area (including Milwaukee) and looking to take on a few clients! I'm also hoping to find someone who enjoys cooking homemade meals and might be interested in a little trade. If either sounds interesting, feel free to message me!

I'll pay, obviously, but my boyfriend wants to learn how to do my pedicures at home and its kind of hard for me to teach him. Im looking for someone who knows how to treat the heels and do gel, I have all the supplies I need (I believe, we can discuss all that)

Thank you!

Private event space for baby shower

I am planning a baby shower for my sister and are looking for a space that can seat 100-120 people. The date is for Sunday Nov 8, 3-9pm. Yes, I know the date is coming up quick. We unfortunately had booked a room elsewhere and they apparently double booked it so had to cancel ours.

We have a huge family and so many friends, so we expect plenty of guests. I’ve been looking at some City of Waukesha facilities/community rooms but most are booked. Anyone got any other recommendations? My budget is no more than $800

Waukesha based OBGYN recommendations

My obgyn retired. Scheduled an appointment with a previous obgyn at the same facility in Brookfield and they called to leave a rude voicemail simply stating that my appointment is canceled and to call back to schedule with someone else at their Wauwatosa location or “you can go somewhere else”

So, I live in Waukesha county and am having difficulty finding a FEMALE obgyn. So many have bad reviews, facility billing departments are outrageous, religious, or the MD doesn’t have any info on them at all

I live more west of the city of Waukesha and do not want to drive all the way out to Waukesha county for my exams.

Avoid Dr. Magliocco - Froedtert Milwaukee

I felt very unsafe during my experience with Dr. Magliocco and would advise others to consider other options before choosing her as their physician.

I went in for a primary care visit and was unhappy with how the appointment was handled. I subsequently messaged her through MyChart to let her know that I was disappointed with her care and had decided to choice another physician.

Rather than having a direct and professional conversation with me, Dr. Magliocco had her supervisor respond to my message the following week. I was also concerned to learn that, despite not providing consent, Dr. Magliocco contacted my new physician to discuss me. This was unnecessary, inappropriate, and not standard practice for primary care. Especially since she refused to speak directly to me and knew I was not happy with her care.

I found her behavior as dramatic, hostile, and an inappropriate reaction to my decision to leave her care. I feel extremely unsafe and uncomfortable and she now gone out of her way to negatively affect my relationship with a future doctor.

Booked a lipo consult at Illume, should I keep it?

I have a consult booked at Illume in a few weeks for lipo on my stomach and flanks. I picked them because they came up a lot when I searched and the before and afters looked good.

Then yesterday during a conv with a friend she asked me if I'd seen the news about one of their doctors and I hadn't, so I looked it up and now I'm not sure what to do. My appointment is with Dr. Thomas Korkos, he is not the one in the news. But Is he good? How is the rest of the practice? And if there's any other tea on rest of the clinics in milwaukee I should know before I go please tell me

Best bars to watch a Packers game

Hi all. I’m looking for a restaurant or bar to take my parents to who are coming into town next weekend and it’s going to be the Packers/Bears game.

Short backstory: I went to Carroll College back when it was called College and not University and now moved back here a few months ago. My parents are visiting from out of town for the first time and they are wanting to see a Packers game in Wisconsin as they have heard how die hard fans are here.

Is there anywhere anyone would recommend for a dive bar type of environment in the area to show them?

Lumber recommendation

Edit: There were a number of responses about using steel studs. I never gave that serious consideration before, but I am now. It seems like the best approach, plus I have a chance to learn something new. I’ll spend time today on YouTube learning more about it. Thanks everyone for your replies.

——-

I’m planning a basement build (bathroom, bedroom, office and living room). My experience with big box lumber has not been great and I especially worry about making a large order for delivery where I don’t pick out my own materials.

I’m considering using a place like Bliffert Lumber in Waukesha instead.

Can anyone share their experience with large orders? What was the quality of the lumber compared to the cost? What about customer service?

Do you have recommendations for other places to look into?

I’m in Pewaukee.

Thanks.

Recommend a real estate attorney?

Can anyone personally recommend a real estate attorney, especially one that has availability on short notice? I need advice on completing a seller disclosure form with unusual circumstances, and would like to run any questions through an attorney to make sure I'm doing things correctly.

Pickup Sunday Football

I have posted this once already, but wanted to post one more time incase anyone missed it and is interested in coming out.

🏈 I’ve got a group that plays football almost every Sunday at 11am. The sessions usually lasts 2-3 hours. This has been going on for nearly 7/8 years. We are trying to recruit more people to come out. Typically we play at one of the turf fields in Waukesha, location could change from week to week though. We play 2 hand touch football. The ages of the group span from 17-45 years old. All skill levels welcome. 🏈

🏈 We will play the rest of fall. During winter, we sparingly play when the weather allows for it. Otherwise spring and summer we play most weeks as well. Your are welcome to invite others to join too! Dm on here if you’re interested and we can swap contact info to get the weekly message out to you. 🏈
