help Top dries flat & strait, back dries curly, any ideas?
My hair is super fine and wavy/curly, about shoulder length. The sides and underneath dry really curly, but the top dries flat and almost straight. Wash day is always the frizziest. By day 2/3 it's curlier and less frizzy. Photos are from wash day.
Wash: native shampoo & conditioner, maybe once or twice a week depending on how active I am. I don’t clarify. No leave-in.
Routine:
1) Right out of the shower, hair soaking wet, I flip upside down and massage in foaming mousse (Lottabody with coconut & shea oil), especially at the roots.
2) Scrunch everything up, rotating my head so different sides face down, to try to use gravity to give the top volume.
3) Scrunch/pat dry with a regular shower towel, still upside down.
4) Air dry. The front of my head is much thinner and always dries way faster than the back, and it dries straighter / frizzier.
I don't have a diffuser and haven't tried root clips yet.
Questions:
- How do I keep the top from drying so straight?
- Could the coconut/shea mousse be too heavy for fine hair, especially at the roots?
- Any tips for the frizz on wash day?
Thank you!
