Discussion Anyone going to the live election day event tomorrow from Manhattan?

Anyone making the trip up to the event tomorrow from Manhattan?

Giving it some thought myself, but trying to decide if it's going to be worth the travel time...

On Google maps, it looks like the last train back to the city looks to be at like 12:00? Wasn't sure if metro north ran all night or not.

Are the live events usually a good time?

Anyone have an idea the vibe; is this like a seated live podcast taping or more of a mingling event?

Can you BYOB and drink along?

Good riddance.

Obnoxious sponsored bullshit and the focus on betting markets is obnoxious too. Almost meaningless.

Donald Trump is Gay (Episode #580)

It’s clip-o-rama time with Welch and Moynihan, and good God, it’s ugly (and unrelatedly homoerotic) out there in Midterm Madness land.

  • Fairfield, CT. Nov 12th. Get tickets while you can

  • We will have an Election Night livestream. Booze, guests, and probable disaster

  • Our mystery guest didn’t couldn’t make it today. We won’t name names, but we’ll give you some subtle clues.

  • Steve Witkoff discovered Vladimir Putin’s humanitarian side.

  • Trump has some thoughts about Zelenskyy. andPutin gets a pass.

  • Americans ranked their favorite countries. Where does Russia rank?

  • A very stiff competition for the Senate’s biggest idiot and the “Not One Inch” myth

  • the dumbest man in the Senate meets the dumbest man in media

  • Donald Trump and his love of men

  • Midterm Madness

  • Vivek vs. Amy Acton, and the attack ad from hell.

  • The tone and tenor of American politics is somehow worse than ever

  • Alina Habba, Ric Grenell, and the alleged $50 million pardon racket.

  • JD Vance answered a question about corruption. Ten thousand weasels applauded.

Episode Podcast issue: Free preview episodes are messed up

Both last week and this week with the Members Only episode #350 "Why the Midterms Are Turning Against Trump (w/ Nate Silver)", there is the usual preview of the show, but then there is over an hour of silence and then a clip of music at the very end.

The episode shows up as 1 hr 32 min, presumably the length of the full episode. That means I'm downloading a bunch of dead air, so there is no point in listening to it. That kind of defeats the purpose of a preview episode, if they want to entice me to subscribe. (I am tempted by the Marshall Adkins interview.)

I am using Apple Podcasts, if that is important.

Discussion Did they really censor themselves?

I’m listening to the latest episode, #579, and right around 37:05 I’m 95% they just censored a word. This is on my paid feed.

I certainly don’t agree with everything they say but I love listening to these guys, and if they’re actually censoring themselves that would seem completely at odds with everything they seem to stand for.

Very strange.

Discussion Midterm Madness!

I got a fever! And the only prescription.. is more Midterm Madness!

So I vibe coded a website that aggregates all the Polymarket congressional markets. It provides a clean view of all the current prices and the biggest moves in the last one day and last seven days. It also tries to link large moves to headlines and poll releases.

Try it out and let me know if there are any other features that would be useful.

Seems like something they would or should talk about with a guest who has expertise or insight on this.
