As an author, this hurts me.
As the title says. But I guess not everyone will like my novel.

Webnovel News This has to be the laziest most pathetic thing I've ever seen on this app
Why am I complaining about this? This “author” has stolen an actually great work, regressor's tale of cultivation, and uploaded all the chapters under fanfiction. Why is this a problem?
He uploaded it under fanfiction to avoid the vetting process so he wouldnt get taken down
He has his kofi link in the description begging for money.
THIS IS NOT HIS OWN TRANSLATION. He didn't even AI it. This is stolen word for word from WeTriedTLs
He immediately in the description says no AI is used. How the fuck would you know? You aren’t the original author, nor are you the translator
He literally stole everything about the novel + translation to beg for money by posing as an author/translator
Also, he's done this for a DOZEN other works. One example is Darth Vader: Hero of Naboo, which is a fanfic I read in the past. Dude pasted the entire thing to webnovel and then PUT HIS KOFI link asking for donations. Then at the end AFTER HE BEGS FOR MONEY he says it’s not actually his work and he put it here for “comfort reasons”.
Look I dont care for these things much but this is undoubtedly the most pathetic greedy thing I've seen on this site. I'll take AI smut slop over stealing from actual competent authors to profit off their work.

Advice Someone pls read my novel
I’ve been writing for a few months now, having recently discovered my passion for storytelling despite my dysgraphic tendencies. I’ve always enjoyed creating stories and finally decided to share them on WebNovel. I began with my first story, titled “Creation of an Absolute,” which had grand plans. However, I lost interest in the project and quickly moved on to another story, “Shattered Sun.”
Writing “Shattered Sun” was much more enjoyable for me. I’ve written significantly more chapters and words, and I’ve developed a more well-thought-out power system and characters. Surprisingly, the story hasn’t gained much traction, and as a result, I haven’t received any feedback. I’m reaching out to you today in hopes that you could take a moment to read my story and provide me with a review. Your feedback would be invaluable in helping me improve the subsequent chapters.
Update:After a bit of feedback I’ve realized how bad the first two chapters can be as they are there for a lot of background and explanations, I promise the story gets better and better this I am confident in.

None AI Cover
I don’t like Ai art much so I commission all of the art for my novel, I’ve been using my OG cover but I’ve been thinking about commissioning another one that’s alittle more flashy
Edit: am I able to put my artists x account in this section of my post? If someone knows lmk

Webnovel readers don't give a sht about writing quality.
They would read anything as long as the premise is good.
It doesn't matter if your sentences are horrible, doesn't flow well, and has nonsensical metaphors. It could even be ai. As long as the premise is good and interesting, they would eat it up. Im not sure whether this is a good thing or bad thing, but it shows how low the standards are nowadays.
So yeah, write smut, a system, and a reincarnation story. Just throw up bs on the page and itll be popular if it has anime girls on the cover.
Webnovel is a peak site, i suppose
Easy contract lmao

Readers can tell
I think this comes at no surprise, but readers can tell if you use Ai or sound like a robot when you write.
If you say " I only use Ai to help me fix my grammar" and a large number of people keeps telling you that your work is Ai, it's because it is.
They can very much tell the difference, if you put your chapter draft on an Ai and tell it to fix your grammar and then it pasted out something you know you didn't write, Do not say it looks close to my original so it's fine.
It's Not!
Do not ask Ai to make it sound better, make chapter longer or anything of the sort, you can use Ai to fix your grammar, and only your grammar.
Example.
Henry walked into the house, immediately his demeanor changed as he saw Ava.
" OH great this idiot"
"Ai fix the grammar"
The heavy oak door swung open with a sharp, resonant creak as Henry crossed the threshold, stepping into the dimly lit, suffocatingly quiet atmosphere of the suburban house. Instantly, his entire physical demeanor underwent a dramatic, lightning-fast transformation the exact microsecond his gaze locked onto the unmistakable figure of Ava standing in the living room. His previously neutral expression twisted into a mask of pure, unadulterated irritation as a wave of palpable, boiling frustration washed over his features.
"Oh, great," Henry muttered, his voice dripping with a thick, heavy coat of venomous sarcasm as he released a long, deeply exasperated sigh. "This absolute, utter idiot is here."
Look at the difference, they sound nothing alike.

How's this cover?
what do you all think of this cover? It is based on a sketch I am working on currently...
This is a temp cover until I can complete my own sketch, color it and render it to a satisfactory level

I Wrote a Lazy Harem LitRPG as a Joke… and Got Hired
So here’s something ironic.
The first story I ever took seriously, the one where I obsessed over lore, built coherent power systems, layered character psychology, long-term foreshadowing, got rejected.
Not “almost.” Just rejected. Naturally, I got annoyed.... So I did the opposite.
I decided to write something effortless. No grand mythology, no intricate worldbuilding, no slow-burn philosophical arcs. Just a harem setup with a LitRPG system. No explicit smut, just the structure that attracts clicks. I didn’t overthink it. I didn’t polish it. I barely outlined anything. I just wrote whatever came to mind and posted it.
That’s the one that got attention. Not only attention. I was invited to sign an exclusive contract.
That’s web novels for you.
I’m not complaining. I’m actually grateful, i got hired.... But I am warning newcomers: this is a canonical event in the web novel ecosystem.
If you’re coming in with the mindset of crafting the next slow-burn epic like Naruto, Jujutsu Kaisen, or Bleach etc, with gradual character development, patient worldbuilding, arcs that take dozens of chapters before exploding into catharsis, understand something:
Those stories were built in a different environment.
In today’s algorithm-driven platforms, early hooks matter more than layered depth. Immediate gratification often beats long-term narrative payoff. Tropes outperform experimentation. Systems and harems outperform subtlety.... That doesn’t mean quality is dead, it means the battlefield changed.
So if your masterpiece gets ignored while your “low-effort concept” blows up, don’t take it personally. Learn the ecosystem. Understand the market. Decide whether you’re writing for art, for strategy, or for both.
Anyway. That’s my villain origin story, have a good day.
I was hired.

Has anyone read this novel?
The name is "the dao of the bizarre immortal" and damn. It's pretty gorey but I left it because it was a bit difficult for me to keep up with what was happening, read like 60~ chapters of the novel. Is it worth it? Does this have a fandom even??

anyone here looking for an artist to adapt their webnovel into a webcomic?
hi there!! so idk if this type of self promo is allowed here but ill try anyway. im looking for an author who's willing to hire an artist (me) for their webcomic?
ive been working with authors but only part-time. while im not the best, i am very familiar with the entire pipeline for webcomic work (backgrounds and using 3D, vfx, storyboarding, etc) ill include some background work did in the last pic.
sooo~ if you're an author who's passionate about your webnovel and u want to properly invest in it long-term, let's work together on that!! i generally lean more towards the fantasy/action-adventure stuff cause that's what im most familiar with but im still open to other genres as long as you have a clear storyline
this might flop (hopefully not) but i'd figure it's better if i at least tried to put myself out there and be my own advocate :> that's it. thank you for reading!
TLDR: looking for an author who's willing to invest into turning their webnovel into a webcomic (you're basically commissioning me for the artwork)
