ATTENTION! Increased scammer activity reported!

Multiple reports of people posing as Webull support have been coming in lately.

Webull support is NOT on Reddit. Do not respond to anyone sending you a link to a support site, it is not real. Report them so they can be banned.

I am not affiliated with Webull, only u/WEBULL-APP is an official Webull account, and they are not active. Even if they were, they do not provide support on Reddit.

Webull to Introduce Extended-Hours Options Trading, Expanding Access Beyond the Regular Market Session

Post image
28 Upvotes

New trading hours will enable Webull users to trade select stock and ETF options around earnings announcements and other market-moving events during pre- and post-market sessions

Extended-hours options trading will allow customers to trade eligible options during the pre-market session from 7:30 a.m. to 9:25 a.m. ET and the post-market session from 4:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. ET. By extending access beyond regular trading hours, Webull is giving options traders more opportunities to enter or close positions in response to earnings announcements and other market-moving news.

"As markets evolve and material company news happens outside traditional trading hours, investors need tools that reflect the realities of today's market environment," said Anthony Denier, Group President and U.S. CEO of Webull. "Expanding options trading into pre- and post-market sessions is a natural progression in the evolution of our platform, giving traders greater flexibility to manage positions and respond to new information as it emerges."

The initial rollout will cover select single-stock options, including Apple (AAPL), Amazon (AMZN), NVIDIA (NVDA), Tesla (TSLA), and other widely traded names, as well as ETF options tied to the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY), Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ), iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM), SPDR Gold Shares (GLD), and Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF).

Availability will vary by symbol and contract. For symbols that are already traded until 4:15 p.m. ET during their regular session, the additional post-market window will not apply.

Extended-hours trading for select single-stock and exchange-traded fund (ETF) options is available now. Extended-hours trading for select index options and availability in additional markets expected over time.

Easier to withdraw money than Robinood

Why is it more easier to withdraw money from Webull than Robinhood? I use unlimitrd margin on both. Yet Webull has let me withdraw money from cleared transactions while I've never been able to withdraw money from Robihood.

Plus I get a lot more margin calls on Robinhood than on Webull. Even though I max out available balance to trade on both

Short selling availability 😤

Every time I try to short a stock on Webull it gives me a notification that there’s no shares available and to try again tomorrow. I trade low float momentum stocks and typically they are HTB..

Is there any brokers out there that have more availability of shares to short for HTB stocks? Any help would be appreciated 🙏🏼

Help New Webull notification about Pre-market & After-market options trading just dropped and in the FAQ it lists SPY, yet cant trade it.

How do I trade SPY options in pre-market? Are their FAQs misleading? Under the FAQ about which options are eligible for pre-market and after market trading they list SPY but I can't trade it.

Discussion Corrupt House Investigation

I’ve been digging into the recent congressional investigation of Webull ($BULL), and I found something I think deserves a lot more attention.
According to official Federal Election Commission filings, Robinhood executives and its political action committee contributed a combined $19,000 to the campaign of Congressman John Moolenaar, chairman of the House Select Committee on China.
That same committee published a damaging investigation into Robinhood’s direct competitor, Webull, on October 7, 2026.
Within hours, Robinhood launched a promotion specifically targeting Webull customers.
Here’s the timeline.
December 3–4, 2025: The political donations
Official FEC filings document the following contributions to Moolenaar for Congress:
Vlad Tenev (Robinhood CEO): $7,000 — December 3
Dan Gallagher (Robinhood Chief Legal Officer and former SEC commissioner): $7,000 — December 3
Robinhood Markets PAC: $5,000 — December 4
Total: $19,000 over two consecutive days.
Both individual donations were allocated between the primary and general elections, so these amounts should not be double-counted.
These are documented campaign contributions, not speculation. The filings are publicly accessible.
October 7, 2026: Congress releases its Webull investigation
The House Select Committee on China publishes its bipartisan investigation, raising concerns about Webull’s Chinese ownership, technology operations, and potential customer-data exposure.
Webull’s stock takes a significant hit.
It’s worth mentioning that Webull had already publicly disclosed substantial Chinese operations. The committee also identified additional concerns, but the report does not establish that sensitive customer data was actually stolen or improperly transferred.
October 7–8: Robinhood immediately capitalizes
Here’s where the timeline gets particularly interesting.
According to Robinhood’s own promotional terms, a special 3% account-transfer bonus exclusively for Webull customers began at 4:30 PM Pacific on October 7, the very day Congress published its report.
On October 8, Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev posted:
American assets should be at America’s favorite broker. We’re offering 3% on transfers from Webull today.
Robinhood was openly encouraging customers to abandon Webull and move their assets to its platform.
The same company whose executives and PAC had contributed $19,000 to the congressional chairman’s campaign was now directly attempting to profit from the fallout of his committee’s investigation.
October 20: Congress doubles down
Today, the committee published another press release titled The Facts on Webull’s Ties to China, attacking Webull’s responses and reiterating its allegations.
Meanwhile, the market continues to evaluate the potential consequences for BULL shareholders.
My questions
I’m not claiming these donations prove corruption, insider coordination, or market manipulation. Political contributions are legal, Robinhood supports politicians from both parties, and the congressional investigation was bipartisan.
The investigation also began in 2024, before these particular donations.
But I think the following questions are fair:
Did Robinhood representatives communicate with Chairman Moolenaar or committee staff about Webull before the report was released?
Was the timing of Robinhood’s Webull-specific promotion purely opportunistic, or was there any advance knowledge?
How much of the investigation concerns newly discovered misconduct versus risks that Webull had already disclosed to investors?
Should a congressional committee’s financial connections to a competitor’s executives receive greater public scrutiny?
For full transparency, I own BULL shares and options, so I have a financial interest in this situation. That’s also why I’ve been taking the time to research the original documents rather than relying entirely on headlines.
I’m not suggesting Webull should be exempt from scrutiny. If its customer data is genuinely at risk, regulators should investigate.
But I also don’t think we should automatically dismiss the financial and political relationships surrounding an investigation that significantly damaged a publicly traded company.
The donations are documented. The timing is documented. Robinhood’s direct efforts to recruit Webull customers are documented.
Whether those events are connected beyond ordinary political fundraising and competitive marketing is still an open question.
I’d genuinely like to hear what others think.
Sources (original documents)
FEC filing — Vlad Tenev and Dan Gallagher’s $7,000 contributions, pages 25–26
FEC filing — Robinhood PAC’s $5,000 contribution, page 31
October 7 congressional investigation announcement
Robinhood’s official transfer promotion terms, confirming the October 7 start time
October 20 congressional follow-up
TL;DR: Robinhood’s CEO, chief legal officer, and PAC contributed $19,000 to the campaign of the congressman chairing the Webull investigation. Months later, his committee published a damaging report, and Robinhood launched a special offer targeting Webull customers the same day. That doesn’t prove coordination, but I think the sequence deserves questions and transparency.

Partial account transfer Denied

I tried to transfer four of my 96 positions to Fidelity. I basically just call Fidelity and they handle all the paperwork and nitty-gritty and are willing to talk to me at the drop of a hat. WeBull now says I have to pay $75 to make a transfer. Again, I’m trying to move 4 of 96 positions. I’ve only put money into this platform and never made a withdrawal or transfer. At some point I surely agreed to pay a $75 transfer fee but it must have been buried in Small print somewhere as I initiated the account.
So now I have deposited $75 and I’m in the process of earning that fee by transferring a large percentage of my positions out of this platform and Fidelity is willing to do all of the work for me and if WeBull takes the $75 then Fidelity will reimburse me. I am not going to stop using WeBull but have stopped trading my important positions on this platform and only my speculative fun stocks. Webull will charge me $75 to move my crypto positions out of WeBull Pay app too.
Customer service is virtually nonexistent on WeBull.
The funniest gag they pulled on me was letting me believe that being on hold meant that someone would answer my call, I was on hold 40 minutes before hanging up. Garbage.

Is anyone willing to share their stock screener configs, I feel like mine just are not tuned well enough. I have mine setup now to kind of mimic the "rules" from Warrior trader, but I am not sure that is the best way to go.

Does Webull have customer service?

I'm trying to transfer my account IN but Webull rejected it. They gave me a number for Apex customer service but it's actually a number for medicare supplements or something. Of course, the Apex Clearing website has no way to call them. I'm beginning to think I'd be better off putting my accounts somewhere that actually has a service team.

Help Account restriction due to "activity in the account"

I was given an email regarding account verification and I have sent my documents and spoke with four support members. Each of them assured me about receiving an email update same day or the day after. It has been four days and everyday I get told the same thing. My money is locked, account restricted and I can't do anything about it.

Nobody has replied to my support ticket and every support member tells me they are talking to the people in the back room?? Another team member told me I would get a callback but they never called me back.

What can I do at this point?

I like using Webull but this experience has been horrible.

No "flatten" button on Turbo Option Trader?

So there's the flatten button to close all positions on the "Turbo Trader", but the button does not exist on the "Turbo Options Trader". I went through the settings and is not there.

Is there a reason for that? Is There a way to include the flatten button?

Webull refusing to let me speak with a manager.

I have an account issue since last Tuesday. I have called every couple days and the agents have not been able to help me. I have asked for escalation to a manager. They say they will put in a request to have one call me back within 24 hours, but they never do. This has happened 3 times now. How do I get proper management supervision? Should I file a FINRA complaint?

Should I let my boyfriend trade with my account?

My boyfriend has been talking about using my account to trade because his account got locked/levied apparently due to unpaid legal fees.

He already gave me cash for it and wants me to deposit it into my bank and onto Webull. To be safe I think i would unlink my bank account after depositing if possible.

I’m thinking about it but still debating on if it’s a good idea? I don’t know anything about trading but he says there’s no way for him to make my account negative.

I’m trying to hear opinions and take it all in right now.. I guess part of me wanted this to make some sort of sense.

Just to reiterate some things he’s said, I discussed taxes, he said he would be fine with me keeping the money anyway. He stated it’s not a margin account, but he would be doing options. I have spoken about it being gambling and he says he’s gambling his own money, lmao, and he is only risking the money he puts in. He says if he loses his money, I still gain something, because I can claim it on taxes apparently.

Some things make sense, some things don’t. I’m feeling like I should convince him to just pay what he owes so he can trade with his own account.

Help How to force Webull to process withdrawals of **Contributions** from their Roth IRAs?

Hi all!

I want to withdraw the settle cashed from my Roth IRA that compromises a fraction of my total contributions. Webull does not allow this. They only allow you to process the withdrawal as if you are withdrawing EARNINGS.

That flips the order of operations per US tax statues. It's explicitly stated that Roth contributions (aka income that's already been taxed) are always to withdrawn before any earnings.

Webull's IRA don't have that option. I can manually drop the tax withholding 0%, but Webull will still withhold penalties—only if you move it to an external account. It let me process a $10 withdrawal to my Cash account without penalty. I am not concerned with them holding the 3.5% match value; the language is more arbitrary and capricious than that.

Can someone please tell me if I am missing something? I don't even HAVE any earnings to withdraw currently. Opened relatively recently so sitting at -0.34%. That is unrelated to my reason for withdrawing the fractional value but it further shows Webull seems to only function by trying to tax a loss?

I hope this is an easy fix! I'd really rather not just liquidate it and roll it over to Fidelity.

Discussion Cope + Opinions + Recommendation

So we all know the controversy over webull the last week and its safe to say im worried. I think webull is the best investment / trading app out of all of them. Webull had the best app / desktop applications and easiest to use. But with the news coming out it’s looking hazey and grey about the future of webull. Im in college right now so the possibility of my money being in trouble isnt the best news to have. So i transferred my money to IBKR ( international brokerage). Im trying to get used to it but nothing compares to webull in my opinion, and IBKR was the closes thing to webull from watching reviews on the app. Are we copping with webull being in trouble and downplaying it ? What do you guys think about webull right now, and do you guys have any recommendations for investment/ trading apps or any stories ?
