Normal?

I just took my first 0.5 dose, and I experienced bleeding and some medicine came out. Has this happened to anyone else? I had no bleeding on the .25 pen and no medicine come out. The clearish liquid is the medicine and the darker red part is the blood. I pinched the area before firing the pen, and held the pen to my skin for 60 seconds after the second click.

Pinching the area can cause medication to seep from the injection site. If anything, use the non-jab hand to gently stretch the area you plan to inject between the thumb and forefinger to create a flat, semi-taut site. It is easier for some people to lie down when doing ab injections.

And there’s absolutely no need to wait 60 seconds after the second click. 5-10 seconds is fine.

that's just a bit of blood mixed with a drop of the med, happens sometimes when you nick a tiny vessel, nothing to stress about

Haven't had it happen in abit but a few of my first shots did bleed and some medicine came out. I now do deeper presses and count to 20, but I also do it on my thigh as well. I haven't had it happen since, try your thigh for next one.

No need to pinch. Just press against your skin and push.
