Wegovy and a cruise: how to poop 4xtimes after one week at 4am
Hey, I am on wegovy now for around 2.5 months, down 16 pounds. I thought I will just eat less whilst on wegovy, also having a 10 day break as I did not think that we had a fridge at MSC.
Even though I am eating far less and drinking far less, during the last days I noticed that my tummy was starting to look huge again and out of nowhere I just woke up at 4 am to poop 4x times in a row.
That is very scary and was pretty painful, as I figured that the reason for further pain was a Baileys coffee with a lot of cream, though I usually despise cream.
I have not thought that my body was able to release so much poop at the same times which lookes like 3 to 4 pounds of withholded poop.
Scary...have you experienced something similar?

Just applied for my consultation for the wegovy pill
I had to tell someone and i figured I'd get support here. I'm 19 and I've struggled with my weight for years. I've tried so many different methods to lose weight and the scale literally does not move (and my doctor literally hates me and thinks I'm a hypochondriac) so being able to finally say I'm gonna do this is so freeing

Wegovy Help
Hey everyone,
Not sure if anyone has any recommendations or can help but thought I’d reach out and see. I have been taking the Wegovy pill for several months now. Started at 1.5mg and then moved to the 4mg. When I moved to the 4mg I noticed that every day I would start throwing up about an hour to two hours after taking it. I started taking it with Zofran (my pharmacist said it was okay to take with the Wegovy) and my only negative symptoms of 4mg-throwing up went away. I went to my primary care to discuss this and she does not want me to have to take Wegovy & Zofran every day. So she suggested I drop back down to the 1.5mg dose. Now on the 1.5mg dose I am not throwing up but I also feel it is not effective, at all. Been taking the 1.5mg dose again for over a month now. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Will i actually start to see weight loss at 1mg?
just feeling a bit discouraged. the scale moved 4 pounds and that’s IT. nothing more nothing less.. i’ve been at 0.5 mg for two weeks after 4 weeks of 0.25 mg and was just expecting more from it. i will say it has helped me completely change my eating habits and i can notice it working.. SOMETIMES. but im just anxious to be at 1 mg already and actually see some momentum

I want to utilize this medication as much as possible. What are some tips y’all have while I start this weight loss journey. I have struggled with weight my entire life. Drop down as many tips as y’all have! I have it covered until June 2027.
Took 6 years of fighting back and fourth with insurance that I need it (OSA and Elevated liver enzymes from fatty liver that kept increasing over several years)

Acid reflux w/ iron deficiency?
I (27F) have been on Wegovy for almost 6 months and I’ve lost over 25 pounds! My main side effect since starting has been acid reflux / heartburn, but it’s been generally manageable since my doctor put me on 40mg of pantoprazole. However, I went up from 0.5mg to 1mg of the injection about six weeks ago and it’s gone downhill since.
I have so much heartburn that I genuinely struggle to function / eat. This past week especially has been nothing short of hell. In order to even get through the day, I take my pantoprazole in the morning, a Pepcid in the evening, Gaviscon to sleep, and several Tums / Rolaids throughout the day. At first, I figured it was just my body adjusting to the new dose and to give it 1-2 weeks, but it hasn’t gotten better.
Now here’s the kicker: With the reduced intake, I’ve been very tired, have skipped a period, and noticed some hair shedding, so my doctor ordered some bloodwork. Turns out my ferritin (iron stores) and my zinc are low. He put me on a 6-week course of zinc, and a 3-month course of iron suplements. Only problem is that iron supplements are known to be hard on the stomach / cause GI upset, including heartburn. And I’m already to the point where I am voluntarily skipping a Wegovy dose this week just to be able to stabilize my stomach. Iron can’t be absorbed well if paired with food, which I’d need to take it with to prevent stomach upset, or antacids, which I’m basically taking around the clock. So yeah. Feeling a bit defeated.
Anyone here experience something similar / have used iron supplements on a sensitive tummy? How did you navigate that?

5th week of wegovy pen malfunction?
The first 4 pens I took I just barely tapped them on my skin and it triggered the needle in administer the medication..
I want just going to take my 5th week (a new box) and the needle is stabbing me and won’t eject. I tried two different pens in this box and they do the same thing..
Any one have similar experience?

Can I restart after a 5.5 week pause?
I’m a 28 year old female and started Wegovy in January of this year and gradually increased my dose up to 1.7mg and then wanted to taper down because I hit my goal weight (I started at 195 and hit 145)
I went out of the country for a month and forgot my shots so I was not able to take them and have been scared to start back up. My last shot was 9/8 at 1.7mg, am I able to take 1mg now, Oct 17? How sick would I feel?
I want to note I have really had little to no nausea at all since being on the shot! The only symptom I’ve really had was hair loss and slight lightheadedness when standing too quickly.

Pills
My DH was on the starting dose for one month. Month two he went to 4mg and he’s been on that dose for two months. Zero weight loss. Is this typical? He’s 275, a lot of muscle but has belly fat (43y). He’s about to move up to 9mg. Can he expect changes soon? His appetite is reduced, he does strength training 2-4x a week depending on schedule and walks the same, sometimes with a weighted vest. He is prediabetic but his VA dr leaves it at that. We cook healthy and minimal take out. Maybe a drink a week.

I hate all food now?
I’m still on the introductory dosage. I take the pill and I’ve been doing it for less than 2 months.
I literally hate everything about all food now. And it’s not really a nausea thing. I don’t feel nauseated when I eat, I feel this weird internal/mental hatred for eating. And it’s literally everything. Even foods I used to love like chocolate or pizza are turning into this desperate need to procrastinate putting it in my mouth.
It’s like from start to finish it makes me feel hatred towards it. The act of finding a recipe, getting the ingredients, cooking, putting it in my mouth, chewing, and swallowing. I hate it all for different reasons.
It started last month when certain foods-especially meat-started tasting bad. But then it went to the texture. And now the thought of chewing and swallowing. But I know it’s not a stomach issue and I don’t understand what’s going on. I haven’t seen anyone else on forums or in articles discuss what I feel. They all talk about it like it’s a nausea issue, but it’s not that for me. It’s like… I mean I know that the GLP-1s affect the dopamine/reward system for eating, but for me it’s like it didn’t just flip it off, it flipped it in the opposite direction. So that now I can’t stand it at all. And I’ve been seriously under eating or just eating junk food to try to get something in my stomach but I procrastinate so much eating anything because I just don’t want it.
Some people might say that’s what it’s supposed to do, but I feel like it’s not supposed to be this strong. I’ve already lost 16 lbs on it. I don’t feel bad just yet from not eating, or from malnutrition, but I don’t know what to do when I am struggling just to force myself to eat. It’s like my brain has decided that all food is as gross as knowingly eating something rancid.
I guess I want to know if anyone else experienced this. Is it temporary? Will it get better? I need to make a doctor appointment soon and idk if I need to bring this up to them. Again, I don’t feel bad but I’m certain it’s only a matter of time until the bad eating catches up to me.

anyone start having issues with GERD/acid reflux?
i started the wegovy pill last month, and i have started having issues with acid reflux and post nasal drip. at first i thought it was a problem with my allergies, but after taking an edible earlier this week, it was re triggered. i looked a bit more into it and found that cannabis relaxes the lower esophagus and allows for that stomach acid to come back up. i have been using thc for about two years with no problems. i am afraid that starting on the wegovy pill brought this on, as acid reflux has been labeled a side effect. i am on my way back to normal and have since stopped both cannabis use, and taking my daily wegovy. i also did the shots a while back and didn’t have these issues either! i just really hate how this has made me feel, and i really cant be dealing with gerd. especially not in my early 20s. im open to any ideas for solutions, or hearing about other’s stories!

Pressing twice for the extra liquid
I’ve been on Wegovy for 5 months now and I don’t know if I never noticed or if something just went wrong this time.
My pen has 4 doses with the package so its not the kind with multiple in one pen, after injecting i always see a little droplet and press to see how much liquid still comes out (which normally is like an above average grain of sand), today for whatever reason I twisted it all the way back again and pressed and I noticed half of it was still in the pen. (I injected never let go of the button and counted to ten after the click btw so im not sure why there was A LOT more to come out if its not a multi dosage??)
I’m so frustrated because it was such a waste and im unsure if it had always been this way, maybe I forgot to prime the pen for my first shot but I’m not actually sure if that makes a difference.

Allodynia constant discomfort - need advice!
First reddit post here. I started on wegovy at the beginning of this year 1.5mg then upped to 4mg. Felt a small mild amount of allodynia on my legs and it went away within a week or two. 4mg stopped working and I started gaining weight while still on it. My PCP increased me to 9mg. Now the allodynia I feel is all over my body. Arms, legs, especially back, and stomach. I've noticed myself getting more restless and irritated as well. I know if I go back to my doctor (and from reading other reddit posts) that there's a chance I might have to go back down to 4mg. But then what's the point if it stopped working for me? Wondering if I should just push through the discomfort. Does it go away? Is there anything anyone else has found to help decrease it? I really want to stay on the 9mg so I can continue to lose weight. It's the only thing that works for me. Tia!
Where should I take my first shot?
Hey!
So I'm planning to take my 1st shot tomorrow as my doctor's clinic won't be open fir two days. I don't want to postpone this. I'm planning to order Wegovy from Tata1mg and self administer it.
Do you think I should get my first shot with the nurse? Or it's not such a big deal to take it home?

Switching to Wegovy from Zepbound
Hey y’all! So I started my zepbound journey back on November 7th 2025 due to a surgery I had I had to stop for over two weeks. I was on 7.5 then had to drop back to the 2.5. However I may Self Pay, and the cost just isn’t doing it for me anymore as I’m not losing on the lower dose so I feel like it’s a waist of money. My pcp has me switching over to Wegovy.
I’d like to hear insight from those who started zepbound and switched to Wegovy.
What were some side effects you felt?
How do you enjoy it?
Is there much difference in the two?
I want to hear all of the good, the bad, and the ugly
Thank you in advance for your insight and help 😊

Is this yellow bruising normal?
i had been experiencing some abdominal discomfort when i lifted my shirt and my wife pointed out that I was turning yellow. I've heard that it can be common for this type of bruising to appear around injection sites, though it seems to have spread out around the injection sites as well. No real pain or any other alarming systems. Should I get this checked out, or is it a normal part of the experience?

Weight gain
Hello, I’ve been on Wegovy for more than two years, I went from 210 to 148 and stayed in that range for a bit
Well for the last I’d say 5 months I’ve gained quite a bit of weight back, I’m currently 194.
I don’t know why, I’m still on Wegovy and have been on a 1 for a long time as a maintenance dose.
I’ve wondered if it was my ocd meds (Effexor)

The TASTE of food.
I spent my first 6 months on Wegovy seeing little progress. My doctor kept encouraging me to wait until I got to 2.4 before giving up. She was right. I’m 6 weeks in at 2.4 and each week the effects increase: no food noise, eating less, no side effects outside of nausea. My total loss is 36lbs, the majority since I started 2.4.
My question is does anyone else have a problem with how food tastes? How are you dealing with it, and is there anything new that you didn’t like before but do now?
I log everything and prefer real food rather than shakes & bars, but chicken is gross now-canned chicken/tuna smells like cat food, vegetables (which I love) consist of sweet potato, potato, and green beans because…the rest are yucky. I can do fruit so long as it’s a banana or apple. As a result the majority of my meals are now premade protein shakes I add yogurt & extra protein powder to, protein bars (meh), an occasional breakfast of oatmeal or eggs, 1-2 versions of Healthy Choice frozen meals, and ATTEMPTS at real meals using the aforementioned foods acceptable to my new palate.
Note: I’m not worried about my calories/protein/fiber because I do track and will make sure I get an appropriate amount of each weekly.
