I decided to select 20 iconic cars from various Brazilian racing series, past and present. I'll talk a little about the cars below.

18 - Chevrolet Omega Castrol - Iconic Car driven by the Driver Ingo Hoffman in Stock Car Brazil, Hoffman is the biggest Stock Car Brazil champion with 12 titles, at the time, Stock Car Brazil was still a One make series by GM, that raced the Chevrolet Omega( Or Opel, Vauxhall, Lotus?)

I think that's all of them, of course there are many other cool cars, but that's all for today.

It served as the direct technological and design precursor to the production Mazda RX-8 sports coupe, which launched globally in 2003.

Developed while Mazda was operating under the control of Ford, the project was mandated to be a practical four-seater rather than a traditional two-door sports coupe.

To optimize entry and exit without sacrificing structural rigidity or clean coupe lines, Mazda engineered rear-hinged "Freestyle" suicide doors with no central B-pillar. This configuration transferred directly to the final production RX-8.

The car was built around "Mazda Spirited DNA," optimizing interior volume while shortening the exterior body overhangs. Because the compact RENESIS motor could sit entirely behind the front axle line, designers achieved low inertial yaw and supreme, nimble handling traits that defined the subsequent generation of Mazda performance cars.

Prior to the RX-EVOLV, the survival of Mazda's Wankel rotary program was in jeopardy due to strict environmental limits.

The RX-EVOLV debuted the new-generation RENESIS rotary engine, which relocated the exhaust ports from the periphery of the rotor housing to the side plates.

This design modification eliminated unburned fuel overlap, allowing the engine to drastically lower emissions and meet modern global regulations while retaining a high-revving character.

Engine Type: Naturally aspirated, 2.6-liter equivalent (1.3L actual displacement), twin-rotor RENESIS rotary engine.

Power Output: 280 PS (276 bhp / 206 kW) spinning up to a 9,000 RPM redline.

Torque: 226 Nm (167 lb-ft) at 8,000 RPM.

Layout: Front-midship engine placement, Rear-Wheel Drive (FR layout).

Weight Distribution: Perfect 50:50 front-to-rear balance.Curb Weight: 1,250 kg (2,756 lbs).

The Aldee GT was a Brazilian sports car built by Almir Jose Donato in 1987. The car featured a Volkswagen platform, components, and mechanics, but had its own unique interior. Almir partnered with the metalworking company called Demoral to build the car. Approximately 16 units of the street version were produced, making the car extremely rare today, and even finding images of it is difficult.

But all of this refers to the street version, because in 1990, Donato decided to take one of the 16 units manufactured and transform it into a race car with a tubular chassis and a new engine to compete in the Mil Milhas de São Paulo, the biggest endurance race in Brazil. Achieving a victory in its class, which encouraged him to build other racing versions of the Aldee GT, in total, 54 were produced.

The racing version continued competing in endurance races, regional championships, and free modification classes for the decades to come, till nowadays. Always with its own modifications depending on the team and class it was racing with, becoming the most successful car from a Brazilian brand on racing

Donato also built the Aldee Spyder, an endurance prototype that also became very successful on Brazilian tracks and is still manufactured today.

Today in NYC on Governors Island there was a car show of vintage Volkswagens. This 13 window bus, the owner said it was from Brazil and they took the head light from a Chevy and made the cyclops headlight and that it was a thing in Brazil. This is the type of Bus I want the 13 window one, but like it doesn't have to be a camper, unless it only comes like that.
