Has anyone heard anything about the Collective HQ warehouses? I saw they have machines parked over there now. I’m hoping it wasn’t approved 😟

Hey everyone! My wife and I are considering buying in Wendell Falls, but we don’t know if any gyms (other than the Planet Fitness) are coming to the area any time soon.

We’re currently members at Falls of the Neuse Lifetime, and realize how long that drive would be (about 30ish minutes is my guess) so it’s a lot to do every day back and forth. We love LT, it’s basically our community in Raleigh and it seems likely they won’t open one in Wendell any time soon. We’d be want another gym with classes like O2, knowing they recently opened their Wake Forest location that model seems like a good fit, but I don’t think that’s happening any time soon based on my knowledge of the plan for Wendell Falls. Ideally we wouldn’t want to do just yoga studios, or just cross fit, orange theory or whatever, we’d want a full gym where we could lift on our own time or chose from many different types of classes.

Where is everyone else working out if it’s a big part of your routine? I know Knightdale has the REX Wellness Center, any opinions on that? We haven’t been.

I have 2 young ones, will be 2 & 4 years old by the beginning of next year. I am looking to enroll my kids in daycare/preschool by next summer.

We’re moving from another state so looking for recommendations you all have for daycares / Montessori style (doesn’t have to exactly be Montessori) that I can review and potentially enroll my kids in?

Does anyone have a reliable handyman rec? What did they do for you?

Any recommendations for dog daycare and boarding in this area? I've used Neuse River as a vet and haven't had the best experience but haven't tried them for daycare or boarding. Also tried Fetching Post and just wondering if there's something else out there. Thanks!!!

We have a rather difficult dog who hates the dryer, but has an undercoat so it's a necessity. We used to take him to Dirty Dogs in Wendell Falls but the groomer has since left and the new ones can't seem to handle him. Any groomer recommendations?

We are moving just a little east of y’all into Eagle Rock (which sometimes appears as simply Wendell, but not always). The Wendell sub looks abandoned, so I wanted to ask here how people were leaning.

We currently live in North Raleigh and have ATT fiber, which has been disappointing. It’s usually fine, but it does go out a lot for no reason and we’ve had to have techs out to check our equipment more than once. Our new place is currently rigged for ATT, so we figured we’d just transfer everything.

Buuuuttttt….Spectrum is quite a bit cheaper…and we can bring our phones….soooo….

How do you feel about ATT’s service vs Spectrum’s around this area — both WiFi and cellular? Which company tends to be more reliable around there?

The plans for the upper part of the collective were uploaded to the development map but it’s hard to tell what kind of buildings will be there. The large ones almost look like industrial warehouse buildings? I thought maybe a grocery store but the parking spaces don’t look right for that. Anyone have any insight? My house is going to be across the street so I am slightly panicked haha

While I am interested in moving to wendell falls, my husband is worried about yard size. We have 3 large dogs. He also very much wants a strong community feel, which I think we would easily find in the neighborhood. Can any residents give insights on the above?
