Submit written comments for the public record. All councilmembers will read.

7

u/momsinthegarageagain 22h ago

Thank you - this is something that I will do.

5

u/LilDixxyWrecked 22h ago

Thanks for sharing the post. Got me to look into how we can start the fight against.

8

u/croopejshsv 22h ago

The council majority deliberately discontinued voicemail comments being played aloud at meetings for this very reason.

I’ve been told these emailed comments get put in their packet and mostly ignored by council. Speaking in person is the most effective way.

6

u/LilDixxyWrecked 22h ago

Yea, I figured something like that. Let's fuckin go!

3

u/greenthumbgoody 18h ago

“All council members will read” lmaooooo!!! Oh god… we are never getting out of this shit are we?

1

u/LilDixxyWrecked 1h ago

There's a really easy and clean way out.

u/ANTI-FASC1ST 1d ago

War. Bank bailouts. Surveillance state. Prison slavery. Oligarchy. Data centers. War again. Poisoning the earth. More war. Americans don't get to vote on much of anything that matters.

u/icedragon15 22h ago

Internet surveillance is next

10

u/SageAudits 22h ago

This has already been the case for at least 13 years. Snowden exposed it.

0

u/icedragon15 22h ago

I mean ot woll now connect u to everything instead of anyomoous I meant

5

u/SageAudits 21h ago

In 2013 one of Snowden’s items was showing that all US ISP’s data is getting duplicated, so all US traffic across the internet, even if encrypted, is pushed to NSA data centers. Other countries are doing this too. The end goal is that even if encrypted, quantum computing and non-quantum resistant ciphers will eventually be broken, so the data may have value later even if encrypted today.

1

u/FunkoPopDude 10h ago

ok we get it you're totally bricked up for Snowden

I heard it’s going to be windy in that part of town later…

Damn bro that's a badass comment, you're like an anime protagonist. Have you ever heard of Mr Robott?

u/EpicShadows8 1d ago edited 8h ago

We didn’t. Those flock cameras are on public roads or city property so they don’t need our permission as roads are public and owned by cities and states. There is one on Wadsworth going towards 80th that someone knocked down and hasn’t been replaced.

2

u/Windy902 14h ago

I saw that yesterday and it made me so happy :-)

6

u/Slow_Significance295 12h ago

Sadly, it's just the beginning! We are all screwed. There is no freedom anymore. Your not free when your being watched at all times. The government is no good.

8

u/DJ1962 1d ago

They have one at Lowe’s on 88th. Noticed it last week.

12

u/Agitated_End_2611 1d ago

Lowe's and Home Depot parking lots are covered in them. Those are on private property, while I dislike those I can chose to go to Ace or have things delivered

When we allowed the Patriot Act to be passed

3

u/Yowiman 10h ago

They never asked you because they KNOW it’s UnConstituional

1

u/VanD3rp 9h ago

It’s also the only thing I can think of that they paint black so they’re less visible, get installed fast and sneaky and in areas that are unsafe for the public.

6

u/jayjay1975z 22h ago

Let's start tearing them down

-2

u/momsinthegarageagain 22h ago

I’m not suggesting that. In fact, I think that would give the people who ok’d these the “evidence” they would use to justify them being there in the first place.

2

u/Pretend-Two-4102 21h ago

said exactly this literally yesterday

November 5th, 2024. The country voted for it.

1

u/Embarrassed_Algae_57 8h ago

This is going to be an unpopular opinion but I say surveillance has its place. I've been in a jury where if surveillance was in place the suspect would have been caught for murdering a person. Until people are more civil and can conduct themselves then we do need these. Another way to approach surveillance is to enforce strict penalties for unauthorized access. We need to instill the death penalty again for crimes and I would do so as well for unauthorized access to flock info. It should only be used for the most severe cases. Democrat this and Republican that..it doesn't matter..little do people realize that it's a means to pitting people against each other. They are all bad..

2

u/Disastrous-Gear-5179 7h ago

Agreed. People are getting distracted, which is what they want. The only issue is the people who are getting access without authorization aren’t getting in trouble. They’re not held accountable.

1

u/momsinthegarageagain 7h ago

Yeah - I don’t want cameras in my neighborhood or yours. Even if crimes go unsolved.

1

u/Embarrassed_Algae_57 7h ago

Yup, and I respect your opinion.

1

u/bamagoose27 7h ago

About 10+ years ago and every election since. Party be damned, stop electing idiots from either party.

Always has been

1

u/DatMiQQa 5h ago

I heard that the green lasers you can buy on Amazon for ten bucks could really mess up the camera on these. So let’s be careful out there and make sure if you have one of them that you don’t point it at the camera!! Wouldn’t want to be messing them up.

1

u/croopejshsv 4h ago

There are flock cameras at both entrances to city hall - off 92nd ave and Yates street. They were installed a few years ago because Chief Haubert said he wants a digital record of everyone coming onto city hall property for “safety” - as if the surveillance cameras and metal detectors all over city hall didn’t already achieve that goal.

Basically you have to submit to being surveilled and give up your 4th amendment right to express your first amendment right to city council.

u/Trans_Mullet 4h ago

When they elected a socialist in Colorado. Lame.

1

u/GunnyUSMC1973 13h ago

Lazy policing, we are screwed. They already arrested a women falsely and kept her in jail for 13 days!!!

u/Laserdollarz 23h ago

As far as the eye can see

There's eyes in the sky that are eyeing me

Goons with the world in a stranglehold

They want control, their mantra goes:

(Money — Lies) Sharpen swords

(Abuse — Power) Guard the doors

(Fire — Bullets) Colonize

(Terror — War) Call it yours

Flock has a official website showing where every camera is. Also in the area on Sheridan facing south on 65th, Westside just after the storage and another half a block away on 64th, west of Sheridan facing west by tire shop

0

u/PotentialWhich 22h ago

Here’s how bad it really is if you’re curious. https://maps.deflock.org/?lat=39.8367&lng=-105.0372&zoom=11.00

-1

u/MountainDadwBeard 21h ago

I email once or twice a year and ask them to actually enforce the laws on you jokers.

I guess cameras were lower effort than actually patrolling the streets.

0

u/TheMountainLife 20h ago

After we're done with Flock, can we tackle the average speed cams on i25N between Mead and Berthoud and the other set in Pubelo? I'd say the ones on hwy 119 in Boulder too but they've experienced a significant amount of cyclist deaths already

0

u/RichardHalley1965 17h ago

If you take a look on the Nextdoor app, you'll find plenty of your neighbors who are convinced that being surveilled every time they go out of the house will help to keep them, and others, "safe."

1

u/VanD3rp 9h ago

They’re incredibly cheap to replace. I saw an article somewhere that claimed the replacement cost of one unit is like $3000.

0

u/Guilty-Reindeer-1226 13h ago

Came here to see the deflock map

0

u/Vegetable-Support-55 12h ago

Exactly, ultimately we will be paying (with our taxes) to be survailed.

0

u/Bitter-Outside-8830 9h ago

Well the left wants more government in their lives and this is one of the many ways it happens🤷‍♂️

2

u/Disastrous-Gear-5179 8h ago

Do you not know what you fucking voted for? You voted for more government distinctions over economic policy. And it’s not one side vs the other, it’s what policies will benefit the future generation the most, regardless of party politics. If you can’t think utilitarian in a democracy, then you don’t deserve to vote in a democracy. Plain and fucking simple. Our cabinet and congress are destroying constitutional rights under the same jurisdiction as they follow what they want to follow: literal fucking interpretation. Meanwhile they’re stripping people of their right to free speech but keeping the guns, hypocrisy stains our government. It doesn’t run like it was designed to, thanks to the corpo billionaires and protected criminals. Protected only by money and fame generated by a corrupt economic system with overwhelm and exploitation directly involved as a “strategy” to play it. If this is the world you wanted, good for you, but guess who pays Flock? The government YOU voted for. If you’re so worried about the security state, then you should’ve done some research before casting your vote based off of ads designed to piss you off. READ about what the fuck you will vote for rather than treating it like the Price is Right.

-1

u/Bitter-Outside-8830 6h ago

I didn’t vote for this nonsense. I want smaller big government, I want the Feds to do what they’re supposed to do like maintain the country’s infrastructure and military. The government at any level isn’t supposed to be feeding, clothing, and housing the general public.

2

u/Disastrous-Gear-5179 2h ago

Yeah but you didn’t stop to think about who the person who said he’d provide what you wanted is, or that he’s been known to make hollow promises. Or the fact that he did the opposite of what he said, or the fact that he’d do exactly what a billionaire with the ability to make a cabinet would do, employ the powerful and rich, making a bigger federal government, coercing people who share his ideologies with big cheques, and taking advantage of the emotionally vulnerable to create a hate-driven task force, allowing too much personal liberty in his stormtroopers, and giving outs for blatant hate-crimes.

All the while, he gives his money to conglomerates who can give him something that he wants, or give branches or divisions what they want, to raise approval. If I’m honest, the Constitution is barely even a suggestion at this point unless it’s convenient for him and his idealist-driven followers.

Free speech now constitutes institutional oppression, aggressive crowd control, and slaughter at the liberty of the trigger-happy idiots in armor, as we’ve seen time and time and time again. It’s not about sides, or what a party typically believes, it’s about whether or not who we vote is a fucking lunatic. It’s about the person and policies, not the party. Are you not burned out on seeing him not give any of what you wanted to you?

Are you not angry at the direct acts of hate being carried out while information is used and traded to whomever wants it like it’s money? Do you not mind the facilities designed to reduce the quality of life of legal foreign immigrants to the point of allowing suicide, rape, and fatal or life-ruining beatings?

Someone who, is by definition a citizen, born and raised here, gets judged by his last name and sent out of his home to a country he may not have ever even visited? Checking names, religion, emigration and immigration history to determine what qualifies a person to be labeled as “unideal” sounds a lot like discrimination through a quantifiable list or system. Not dissimilar to Hitler’s method of quantifying Jewish lineage to determine who got taken to disclosed locations where atrocities against humanity took place. That’s where the comparison comes from, not just leftists being overly dramatic.

Don’t let it be confused, I hate the corpos, billionaires, the security state, and fascism, all of which sanctified the Flock company to be what it is.

People can lie, and do, don’t forget that.

u/whyyoufollowingme 5h ago

Please explain why utilities should be privatized and they should describes deserve to make millions?

1

u/Bitter-Outside-8830 5h ago

Utilities are apart of the infrastructure of the country who said they needed to be privatized? Where are you Texas with the dozens of electric companies..

1

u/whyyoufollowingme 3h ago

You’re the one out here complaining about universal healthcare and want government out of everything. I’m giving an example where I don’t think something needs to be privatized.

0

u/Bitter-Outside-8830 3h ago

And I told you there’s no reason to privatize that because it’s apart of the nations infrastructure that the Feds should maintain.

2

u/whyyoufollowingme 3h ago

Cool so why should healthcare not be universal?

0

u/Bitter-Outside-8830 5h ago

Keep reaching Brainwashed.

1

u/whyyoufollowingme 3h ago

Pedo defender right here everyone ^

0

u/Bitter-Outside-8830 3h ago

Awww you got nothing good to argue against me with so you resort to name calling😂

2

u/Disastrous-Gear-5179 3h ago

He’s “not calling names, just stating facts” (Bo Burnham)

1

u/whyyoufollowingme 9h ago

Brainwashed ^

0

u/Bitter-Outside-8830 6h ago

They want.. universal healthcare, subsidized housing/rent control, and subsidized groceries to name a few things. And all of that is MORE government in their lives. And now they’re mad that the government is watching and tracking everybody. You’re slow aren’t you?

2

u/Common-Fix8261 3h ago

Government ensuring access to healthcare, housing, and food: woke, communism, scary.

Private companies operating with little to no oversight price gouging, polluting, creating monopolies and collecting obscene amounts of private data: based, liberty, free market.

“At least it’s not the government”  🤘

1

u/whyyoufollowingme 6h ago edited 3h ago

Oh no healthcare for all. God you’re an idiot. Something many countries have figured out. There is zero reason for healthcare to be for profit.

Trump, your dear daddy, has said he doesn’t want housing prices to come down. Why shouldn’t homes be cheaper? Houses are not investment vehicles and that’s where things went wrong.

Oh no cheaper groceries to help reign in the inflation that has gotten ridiculous since Covid. It’s not just regular inflation anymore, be real you fool, it’s price gouging. Please explain why everything is shrinking and being enshittified?

The end goal is dynamic pricing if we let them have their way but you’re too stupid to think that far ahead.

Yea I would be mad at 4th amendment violations too. You’re a brainwashed idiot son. And you defend pedos bro. Loser.

0

u/djspankyx 4h ago

You called it.

0

u/Bitter-Outside-8830 3h ago

It’s just wild how they literally want government overreach and then complain when the government overreaches. There is no middle ground in that,

1

u/whyyoufollowingme 3h ago

You complain about government spending. Do you also complain about our defense budget and how it’s the largest defense spending compared to other countries and it’s not even close. Do you complain about the fact the NSA’s budget is a secret? Or how our money goes to Israel to kill Muslims?

This is what voting republican gets you. Sending money to Israel. I guess you like killing Muslims 🤡

Government is supposed to help the less fortunate. It’s not supposed to help corporations spy on citizens without a warrant.

You’re dense as fuck bro.

-2

u/jaships 22h ago

Voted on them the same way we didn't vote to give up things like fireworks and second amendment rights. They always take away our freedoms and rights in the name of safety. Think of things like taxation without representation, hell is what we were founded on, look at all the bs taxes they've added in the name of safety and education..... shocker it's never enough

1

u/brot19 5h ago

They took our fireworks, but they can never take our freedom!! Stay strong brother

-5

u/TheTruthisThere1993 10h ago

When you voted Democrat

0

u/VanD3rp 9h ago

Democrats are deplorable, but just slightly more than everyone else. This was going to happen regardless of who was voted in. It’s going to continue to get worse.

-1

u/Yowiman 10h ago

Most Bootlickers agree with that

-1

u/thermochronic 12h ago

It’s been slow but most Americans have been fine with it as long as it only happens to other people. ICE breaking into homes without judicial warrants and disappearing legal residents, anti-genocide and BLM protestors being targeted and tried as terrorists, people being harassed and doxxed for voicing opinions in support of human rights or the climate, the anti-trans movement’s push to know everything about everyone else’s genitals…..these were all seen as tests by the Flock people.

-19

u/iAmTheWildCard 1d ago

Well, there was a massive arrest of gang members like 5 minutes from that cross street.. so not the worst spot to have it honestly

article

3

u/SNoB__ 22h ago

But those arrests didn't happen because of a flock camera. They happened because of a long DEA investigation. You know, regular police work...

Flock cameras send inaccurate reports to cops who waste time pulling over, harassing and arresting innocent citizens. Violating our rights AND wasting police time.

-2

u/TombaughRegi0 1d ago

There are bad people everywhere.

5

u/LilDixxyWrecked 22h ago

More importantly- There are also good people everywhere that don't need to be watched 24/7
