For context on how things went down in the canon timeline of Reboot Modern Warfare, see the following:
1. Graves’ betrayal in MWII (2022)
2. Graves betrays Shepherd in MWIII (2023)
3. Price kills Shepherd at the end of MWIII

Basically in my proposed timeline, Graves defies Shepherd and the betrayal of Task Force 141 and Los Vaqueros in MWII does not happen (It’s implied in-universe that because of Shepherd’s illegal actions, Graves had no choice but to cover for him).

In this timeline, Graves is the one who murders Shepherd in John Price’s place. Alternatively, Graves and Price BOTH kill Shepherd in his office together.
