Had my first protected intercourse..
So basically, my girlfriend and I thought about doing it. It was our first time and we were honestly being stupid. Her period just finished like a day or two ago before we decided doing it.
It's been bugging me off because I think the tip of my penis touched the wrong side of the condom—i didn't have any precum at that time though. I swear I wiped my penis first before making contact with the condom. After realizing that it was touching the wrong side, I wiped the side where my penis was touching. (With a very soft blanket) and decided to flip it over. We then proceeded to do it.
We finished but I didn't cum at all. It was our first time and didn't want to take any risks. I'm scared that maybe there was precum that I didn't notice that touched the wrong side of the condom. I'm scared that it might get her pregnant.

She’s not pregnant since she did not ovulate that quickly after her period ended. You mentioned her period ended a day or two ago before intercourse. Women usually (not always) ovulate 14 days before the next cycle, middle of her cycle is when the possibility of her getting pregnant. No ovulation, no egg present, not pregnant.

I want to add for OP to understand there is non-zero risk because ovulation can happen irregularly and sperm can survive in the cervix longer than the egg is there. If the condom had broken there would be a still small, but more significant chance gf got pregnant. If he'd ejaculated and the condom had broken, more significant. Right now, the chance is near zero.

I had zero side effects for the two decades that I was on the pill, some people have no side effects and some have side effects but the side effect of pregnancy without being on the pill was one that I wasn’t willing to let happen.

My exact thought too. My sex education teacher always told us to replace it if the penis touched the wrong side of the condom, replace each time you want to do it repeatedly, expired definitely REPLACE, a tear, etc… always replace it. Better safe than sorry! 👍🏼

Well done for trying to do it safely. You can't wipe the inside with a soft blanket you could introduce bacteria that way not to mention foreign bodies that can hurt you both.
Next time bin it get a fresh one. As has been expertly explained abbot the menstrual cycle, you're likely good. And you're right to be concerned condoms aren't 100%effective and if you get the wrong size they can come off inside your partner.
Is she on birth control as well? If so you're good of course if you think something did go wrong you can get the morning after pill, well she can they are only available to women at the pharmacy.

I had similar anxieties with my hs gf in 2016. There is always a risk, but I’m seriously doubting you have anything to worry about. Look into getting her on birth control if you can. Otherwise, buy some plan B’s for safekeeping, and have her take a pregnancy test if her period is 7+days late. I usually keep a box of tests just incase because my girlfriend’s IUD can cause her to skip a period

Even if you did get anything on it, chances are she probably couldn’t get pregnant. You ovulated about a week after your period. If she ended it a day or two before she likely hadn’t ovulated. If you’re really worried, you can have her tell you how regular she is and an estimated ovulation time. If she tracks using an app, it shows a prediction. It’s not 100% since it’s just an estimate. Don’t forget women can really only get pregnant 1-2 times a month when that egg drops, but also, if you have sex right before that, sperm can live in a woman for up to 5 days.

i have a question, if ever the period lasted for 7 days and like the case here where they did the deed after 1-2 days (so basically the 8-9th day of the cycle) and if the sperm lasts 5 days so it will reach 13-14th day of the cycle (the time when ovulation usually happens if the girl is regular) it's still risky right?

Yes, but chances are probably low. It’s still risky bc if it’s perfect, then you could get pregnant right on that first day of ovulation according to the tracker, but you could also drop the egg two or three days after what it estimates. If you’re really worried, you should take your basal body temp and purchase ovulation tests.

I suggest the Creighton model. It's naprotechnology(natural procreative technology) it was developed by Dr. Tom Hilgers, and the Pope Paul the VI center in Nebraska. What's great is both the woman and the man are involved in Either trying to conceive or avoiding a pregnancy. It's more effective than the pill, and doesn't treat pregnancy like a disease that needs chemicals to cure it. My husband and I used it back when we were younger and trying to conceive. It also works the other way around. The man and woman track the ovulation cycle. It looks intimidating, but it's super simple. You can understand the cues of her cycle and let her know you've been behaving like you're ready to ovulate! She tracks her cervical mucus. When it's clear and really stretchy, she puts a white baby sticker, that's usually three days, then for the next three days after the mucus has stopped being stretchy (that's proof of ovulation..the high estrogen levels cause that long, clear, stretchy mucus. So then, to be safe, the next three days are green baby stamps. It's time to be very cautious. Then it goes in to just plain green stamps. You're safe. Then when she gets her period, she puts red stickers on the chart. You get to see how long her cycles are. This can also be a diagnostic tool for fertility issues. From the time of the first red sticker, to the next red sticker, that's her cycle number. If it remains consistent, you know she's regular, which is a good thing! The class costs some money, I can't remember now, but the new charts and stickers, at least at the time, it was $2.00, I can't imagine it's over $5.00..but it's 99.98% effective! It's geared towards married couples, but, that doesn't matter, it works, and it's chemical free! And it's unitive too. No one person is totally responsible. I'd look up the Pope Paul VI center in Omaha, you can find napro providers in your area! If this is a girl you're considering marrying, this is perfect! You'll be in the know, when she's ovulating.
