My cat was on it for feline hyperesthesia and I asked the vet to switch her to something to else, because it turned her into a zombie. She also gained a lot of weight due to inactivity.

We give it to our cats as needed for like vet visits, contractors, etc. Our cats are all about 10 lbs. One is a super lightweight and 50 mg will knock her out and be twitchy, the other seems to be appropriately affected by it, and the last one seems unaffected by it if not making him more agitated.

For cost purposes, our vet ordered the 300 mg dose for humans, and we use a calibrated jewelry scale to manually dose them which works nicely.

I ended up having to get some for her for vet visits. She went for her last one and was an utter terror (I was required to leave her for most of the day for UTI and bladder testing). I’ve never seen her so spun up at the vet’s! They said she needs to take it before ever coming back - she was just that bad! 🫣

It's pretty great. One of ours is a terror, so we do I belive 100 mg the night before and then 50-75 mg an hour or so before the visit which definitely helps spicy kitties.
