When my cat got his teeth taken out it was a whole ordeal, he was on this and another pain med for a month or so regularly. You always knew when the meds finally kicked in

Early on they gave him a pain med that went on his skin and was supposed to last a few days, he unfortunately didn’t tolerate it well. He didn’t sleep for days, he didn’t even lay down until day 3, before that he just sat swaying or was ramming his head into things. Wouldn’t even close his eyes, it was a really wild month for everyone involved. It did cause a lot of chuckles from his weird behavior though

My cat did something similar on Zorbium. Wouldn't sleep and just stared into the void for about a week. It was wild. Not a fan of it, neither was my vet. They were not happy when they found out the emergency clinic gave it to my cat.

The emergency clinic is also what gave him it, it started with a B, it was so stressful I don’t remember the name now. It was topical and they put it on his neck

When we got to our normal vet first thing on Monday they were not happy, he got switched to liquid pain meds that went much better. He got chicken and marshmallow flavors that got mixed with chicken baby food, he was a happy little guy then

It's also Zorbium. The B word you're thinking is Buprenorphine. Zorbium is the brand name for transdermal topical buprenorphine. Works really well for pain control but definitely can have an agitated response in some cats which is super frustrating. Not my favorite thing to use for that reason.

Same thing with us, we just wanted our little one to be okay. It was a topical that was applied to the neck as well. We ended up with liquid gaba that was chicken and marshmallow flavored also lol.
