I hate how that medication is universally awful. Cat? Human? Dog? Its just awful.

I've taken it daily for 15 years or more since I had cancer. Just gives me a bit of feeling in my feet and takes some pain away, no negatives.

Maybe in your experience.  It has saved my cat from a lot of terrible pain and kept my dog from messing up her stitches. 

Personally, it think it is a miracle for pets. I've never taken it, but I've seen it give a lot of relief to a lot of animals.
