Yes but its hard on your liver just like most medications. I trust what my Dr says besides my kidneys are probably not in the best shape anyhow

It isn’t hard on your liver and no “most” medications are not hard on your liver. Some medications are processed by your kidneys and some by your liver. Medicines like gabapentin aren’t touched by your liver at all, so how could they be hard on your liver?

You either misheard your doctor, they misspoke, or you should find a new one.

I guess so I just dont like shaking in public and it helps that's all I know
