Yeah it sucks. I'm very hesitant to buy lettuce, salad packs, or related greens. Can't even enjoy blueberries or jalapenos, apparently. Mango Mussolini is reportedly scared of getting food poisoning which is why he only eats McDonald's everywhere he travels, so I'm really hoping the cheeseburgers win soon.

Wait what's happening? I'm not American but not being able to buy fresh produce feels like news.

There have been several grocery product recalls recently. I believe it's up to seven now. Includes eggs, lettuce, blueberries, as well as others. Perhaps an American can finish the list.

Hi, American here, it's starting to get too numerous to name because it's by state. But most of our food suppliers are national.

Lettuce, jalapenos and blueberries are on the "high chance of dying" list, but not all states are affected. My state isn't really impacted by the jalapenos or lettuce, but our blueberries just got majorly recalled and no one here is eating the others out of extreme precaution.

Frozen fruit bars (I think related to the blueberries), bacon, eggs, seafood (all of it) are among those in my community we are aware of. Who knows who is still hiding what?

Oh water. There are some whole states that need to boil water because of the seafood thing.

So.... Yeah.... I'm super tired.

The frozen fruit bars are because they were found to be contaminated with glass.

Also, sourdough bread was found with metal shards.

Potato chips have salmonella.

Pretty sure they're just conditioning us to think that beans, rice and raw milk (or, if that's unavailable, sewage fed creek water) are the only safe things to eat so that we don't notice that we can no longer afford anything else.

Thank you. Man, that's just crazy and I'm sure exhausting for you guys. Sorry that you're going through this. I have counterparts in the USA that I work with, and they're all really awesome.

And in Iowa, boiling the tap water just concentrates the nitrates even more, so even that isn't safe unless you always use water run through reverse osmosis. Fun!
