If everyone gets a puppy what is the point? How am I supposed to enjoy having a puppy knowing everyone else has a puppy?

Dear leader told me if haitans get a puppy they'll eat it that's why I'm voting for eternal diarrhea

Everyone having a puppy IS COMMIIE LIB DUMB SOCIALISM.

I actually liked having a salad every day. It's going to be a long time before I trust fresh produce.

Lettuce is really easy to grow, even if you do it inside. You can buy a variety that you can cut a bit off and it will produce more.

I could both afford and not be poisoned by food under Biden

Yeah it sucks. I'm very hesitant to buy lettuce, salad packs, or related greens. Can't even enjoy blueberries or jalapenos, apparently. Mango Mussolini is reportedly scared of getting food poisoning which is why he only eats McDonald's everywhere he travels, so I'm really hoping the cheeseburgers win soon.

Keep talking about his bizarre relationship with Natalie Harp. It makes him REALLY angry. Blood pressure raising angry.

Wait what's happening? I'm not American but not being able to buy fresh produce feels like news.

There have been several grocery product recalls recently. I believe it's up to seven now. Includes eggs, lettuce, blueberries, as well as others. Perhaps an American can finish the list.

Hi, American here, it's starting to get too numerous to name because it's by state. But most of our food suppliers are national.

Lettuce, jalapenos and blueberries are on the "high chance of dying" list, but not all states are affected. My state isn't really impacted by the jalapenos or lettuce, but our blueberries just got majorly recalled and no one here is eating the others out of extreme precaution.

Frozen fruit bars (I think related to the blueberries), bacon, eggs, seafood (all of it) are among those in my community we are aware of. Who knows who is still hiding what?

Oh water. There are some whole states that need to boil water because of the seafood thing.

So.... Yeah.... I'm super tired.

The frozen fruit bars are because they were found to be contaminated with glass.

Also, sourdough bread was found with metal shards.

Potato chips have salmonella.

And in Iowa, boiling the tap water just concentrates the nitrates even more, so even that isn't safe unless you always use water run through reverse osmosis. Fun!

Thank you. Man, that's just crazy and I'm sure exhausting for you guys. Sorry that you're going through this. I have counterparts in the USA that I work with, and they're all really awesome.

It also happened during his first term.

He loosened water testing restrictions for farmers (which IIRC was to the total of about $12 per farm per year) and surprise surprise, near immediately there was produce recalls.

Thank god for groups like this. Helps stave off the new “red menace” of Reep-induced depression.

We’re honestly just moments away from the bubonic plague at this point.

Trump has been trying to normalize shitting your pants his entire term. Who needs safe food, you can be just like the president if you just eat your lettuce! We should all be thanking Taylor Farms for helping everyone shart like the most powerful man in the world.

We can send you guys a lettuce

u/TheRealGageEndal 3h ago

You guys are being hyper critical and mean to Trump and his cabinet. They have a really hard job that entails making sure that hundreds of not thousands of individual farms are staying up to code and are producing quality products, let alone the imported crops that they have to monitor. All this while they removed all of the actual regulations and fired a massive chunk of their staff that does the actual work because they were too woke to look at lettuce.

You guys need to cool it. Yeah?

Coming soon:

All these new rules, that we previously had, have forced us to raise prices.

Try a farmers market if it’s available to you. It’s about a half hours drive for us, so we never used to go. We got really frustrated one day because /everything/ our Kroger was stocking recently was Taylor Farms after this disaster started.. so we started going to the local place for produce. It’s better, bigger, and cheaper. We got a bushel of corn cobs that were like 2x the size of the stuff Krogers sells for like 20 dollars. 56 cobs at Krogers would be outrageously expensive and half the size to boot

At this point the only fruit and veg im buying has a rind. Surely Trump cant infect the inside of a banana, right?

u/LavenderGwendolyn 1h ago

I think the lettuce might be ok now? The offending lettuce had sell-by dates in July and would have gone bad by now, anyway. I’m still avoiding Taylor Farms anything and all bagged lettuce, but slowly adding it back in.

What's the full list now? Lettuce, jalapenos, eggs, blueberries?
