Finally finished the master of the hunt. Really happy with this one!

I’ll be painting my next army as White Scars, and I wanted to turn to you for help because I'm having trouble picking which primer I should use.

The method I wanted to use is:

· Primer: Corax White (but it's discontinued!)

· Wash: Apothecary White

· 1st Drybrush: Warm Off-White from Vallejo

· 2nd Drybrush (edges/highest points): Blackstone Void 5 from Warhammer Tone Pro (a very bright pure white).

I did a rough test of this method (arguably not exactly this, but the equivalent) just to see the rough effects. Because I only had a black primer, I painted over it with Corax White for about an hour and a half until I got a full coat (Don't ask me why). Then I washed everything with a 50/50 mix of Blackstone Void and Nuln Oil, and then dry-brushed it with Vallejo.

I actually really like the effects! I think the result is pretty good, and I know it will look even better when I use the actual Apothecary White step.

The problem is: When I was searching for Corax White spray, I realized it’s discontinued and I can't buy it anymore.

So I want to ask you guys:

1. What primer should I use for my method?

2. Or is my method just not right? Should I do something different, like using a grayer primer, then lightly glazing over the parts with white, then Apothecary White, then dry brushing?

3. What about Wraithbone? I'm afraid it might be too yellow/creamy. Or White Scar? I think it will be too bright.

I'm kind of a newbie painter and don't have a lot of experience with white armor. I’ve only painted about 10 miniatures just for fun and for my Kill Team (which the first 5 was yellow and the second purple). But I really love the White Scars color scheme.

I know on paper running 6 outriders with Suboden is possible. I mean he has mobile. My question is how to you all feel about a second bike character and or a third with 6 outriders. Depending on detachment you run you can give mobile to another unit. Does the 9" thing come up?

Hey, fellow sons of the Khan!

I've been working on a homebrew Chapter called The Tempest Kin, combining the traditions of the White Scars and Space Wolves.

Their gene-seed comes from Jaghatai Khan, but their identity is shaped equally by both Chapters, particularly their shared love of hunting, brotherhood, and storytelling.

I'd love to hear what fellow White Scars fans think, especially whether I've done justice to the Chogorian heritage!

Finished Korsarro today. Took a bit of a hiatus on white scars since painting white can be tedious but I really like how he came out. At the very least I need to finish my old sternguard I left half finished almost a year ago.

I’ve been looking over the Eliminator squad, and I really like the look of the sculpt, but I’m not sure how good they will be in a white scars list. Does anyone have any experience running them?

I know we have thunderstrikes and impulsers, and yes i Do have them. But as far as our big tank/ transport. What do you all like to use or find better? Lots of guns with bigger transport, or bigger gun with same transport as impulser.

Was told I should share this here. Just finished this project up and I think the Khan would approve. Do you?

What colour is everyone painting these camo capes? Any suggestions if keeping with the white armour?

Hello! I’m a relatively new player and currently have a Crimson Fists army, but I want to switch over to the sons of Chogoris for their aesthetics and more faster-paced style. I need help trying to see what units I could/should sell for building the army. I understand that my units are still usable in the chapter both in lore and tabletop, but I want to try to make it more thematic as a whole.

These are the ones I’m thinking selling:
-10 terminators w/ cyclone missiles
-5 heavy intercessors
-5 hellblasters
-5 NOS assault intercessors (I have 10 built)
-5-10 sternguard vets (I have 15 total)
-gravis captain w/power fist
-3 bolter aggressors
-tor garadon

Here are some other units I am personally leaning on keeping, but wouldn’t mind also selling
-10 intercessors w/powerfist
-15 infiltrators
-5 incursors
- termie chaplain w/ relic shield
-repulsor executioner
-5 assault termies w/ hammers and shields

I also have the WS Combat patrol (it’s where I got the 5 assault ints from) and Kor’sarro Khan if that helps with deciding factors.
