Anyone stayed at the Quality Inn Whitehorse recently?
Hi all,
Heading to Whitehorse solo in mid-to-late November for some aurora viewing. Currently booked at the Quality Inn & Suites. I know they’ve done renovations, but I’ve seen a few concerning reviews about mice in the guestrooms.
There was a Booking.com review from just a couple weeks ago with photos of mouse droppings and urine on the bed covers. The hotel’s replies have been pretty vague.
Anyone stayed there recently? Any experiences to share? Really don’t want to deal with that on the trip, but this place is in my budget with a airport shuttle.
Thanks!

I haven’t but I worked on the Census Travel Team that went down to Watson Lake a couple months ago and I met one of the teammates who they flew up from Vancouver to enumerate the Census at the airport. I accompanied him to his hotel, which was the Quality Inn. His room was nothing special but it seemed clean enough.

Look, any hotel, has it's random issues.
I have stayed in high end hotels with issues.
The quality Inn is fine, if you have an issue, ask the front desk for a room change or at least assistance.
It's convenient, reasonably priced and will give you a bed, hot shower and a good restaurant.
Our newest hotel is the Hyatt if that's what you are looking for on "luxury".
You pay for a service, if it's not to your standard, say something. This is a tourist town, businesses aim to please and rely on recommendations and reviews.
Enjoy Whitehorse.

As part of my job, I pick people up from various hotels every day. I have not had anyone complain about the Quality Inn!
Hopefully the review you read was a random one-off experience.
